Are you serious? Danielson and Claudio are technical gods but they've had that sucked out of them with this stupid BCC bullshit. Moxley and Yuta can barely work if at all. AEW has been so shit and these guys are a lot of the problem along with good old twinkle toes, the kukamunga kids and washed up Jericho.

Exactly what I came here to say. I had to rewind the last few minutes of that match a few times, to get a good look at what everyone was doing simultaneously. Once I got it all, I thought "holy shit. The BCC is like perfectly synced together,"
. Everyone was doing some crazy offense all at once, and the Lucha Bros/ Bandido were all giving it back pretty good too. This was some top tier wrestling, I see why Danielson was losing his mind 😂

Partly agree. He is VERY good. He's also the youngest/least established member of a group whose selling point is that they're nasty badass veterans who've seen it all. So if anyone is gonna get their ass beat, it's gonna be Wheeler because he's "inexperienced". Look at that ending sequence. Moxley saves him by being the anchor. Claudio gets in that upper cut. He does the running knee. Then the hammer anvil, and finishes it with the seatbelt (which I think canonically he learned when he was with the Best Friends). I also saw a Moxley face bite in there.
The one part I disagree with is calling him any kind of "store brand". His whole gimmick right now is that he's young and learning from all these other guys, so it makes sense that he'd use their moves. He's not "Great Value" anyone, as much as he is group's kid brother.
Great match. Bandido's rendition to Chapulin Colorado is priceless.

This 6 Man which was fantastic had a purpose & that was to continue the growth & development of Yuta in The BCC. Last week he took the pin from The Lucha Bros Danielson scolded him he pinned Omega for The BCC to win Anarchy In The Arena & now he got the win here.

The thing about the BCC is that it's something new to North America, or at least hasn't been seen in a long time. A group of heels who have actual ability and can kick ass, BUT aren't chickenshit trying to get out of fights. They WANT TO FIGHT. I can't think of another group like this. Maybe Suzuki-gun? But that makes my point that this kind of group is not common in North America.

I love that despite all the progress Yuta has made, and all the claims Danielson makes about how the BCC deserves the credit, it's still the move that Chuck Taylor taught Yuta that keeps winning him the matches...

@@johnnywalker5745 Not necessarily. Sometimes wrestlers just adopt moves from past mentors and partners. Sometimes angles are built around it. Sometimes it's just a way to add a little layering to a wrestler's presentation or backstory. At the very least though, it's a fun character beat that has the potential to pay off as part of a longer term story IF they choose to do so.
That being said, there was a moment a few weeks ago where Bryan Danielson and Orange Cassidy were both on commentary during Yuta's match. Danielson is running his mouth the entire match talking about how Yuta has learned far more and won far more under BCC's tutelage than the Best Friends. OC is being OC and not saying anything, barely even looking like he's paying attention to the match. Yuta wins the match with the Seat Belt, Danielson starts gloating some more, and Cassidy just looks at Danielson and says "Chuck taught him that move..." And since then, pretty much every match Yuta has been involved in where he gets the pin, he has done so with the Seat Belt. And the BCC guys, Danielson in particular, seem like the types who would deliberately make a point of featuring a beat like that in their matches.
So ultimately, why don't you tell me? Should that be considered a form of long term storytelling?
