It’s been a rough few months for me ever since I came home early from my mission. I was feeling a bit down just a few minutes ago as I laid in bed thinking about everything going on when this hymn popped into my head & now I’m here & feeling a lot better! I know this wasnt just my thoughts that lead me here :)
Just to clarify, I came home early due to the pandemic but I only had 3 months left to serve so it wasnt such an abrupt sending off but still hard to accept.
Whenever I have a very rough day, and everything doesn’t seem right I always listen to this hymn. This hymn always brings me comfort and peace to my soul.
This is the song that I had chosen when me, my wife and my childrens, the day of our baptism. Each time I listen to this song, is like the first time I listen to it. Praise be to our Lord and Savior JESUS CHRIST.
I am so thankful for my savior and my friend He is the only one I can talk to in my darkest moments Who has a clear understanding of what I am going through. I am so grateful for the peace and the spirit I feel from this song I am grateful for Joseph Smith and all the ancient prophets who sacrificed so much for the Lord to bring the gospel to us and so that we can have this wonderful church today. My prayer is that I hope people can all have taste of the gospel and to find that the Savior loves them especially when they feel alone in the world. And I love how each church in the world is centered around the Savior and that we are all trying are best to become like him. We are not perfect but we strive to be and when those have strived to be good and worthy and receive eternal life will finally know the meaning of being perfect. Heavenly Father loves you and me he loves everyone for he sent his Son our Saviour to the world who did something amazing for each and every one us.
A few nights ago I was feeling really sad and frustrated and just down. I had been scrolling social media and trying to eat to numb my feelings when this hymn popped into my head and reminded me that NO OTHER source can bring me peace and make me whole. It was a reminder that no matter where I turn to fill my void or numb my pain the Savior is the ONLY one who understands me and can help take my pain away! I know God loves me and sent me this reminder when I needed it most!!!
I pray we can turn to God for comfort, direction and yes peace. he has the power to lift us up when we feel like the world has come crashing down. he will not forsake you and your pleadings unto him. keep the faith strong.
I struggle with anxiety and some other mental health issues. And when I found this song it really helps my draw closer to the lord in times of distress and need. I often feel alone. I know I am never alone. It sucks sometimes with my anxiety 😕
You are so strong for working to overcome it. You will reap benefits that others will never know as a result. That's my experience at least. Keep up the great work!
Let this hymn bring healing to this sin sick world.....my prayer is that Jesus will come soon....i am in the winter of my life and i miss my Jesus....even though i feel his presence daily....i still miss him.

This is specially this morning that while I am to read my scriptures & write my journal after listening to this hymn, I am deeply missing - & still mourning - for my husband Jessie Kenneth Cofield who passed away October 8, 2022.
Im in tears here as i deal with challanges of life but i know my saviour is there and my heavenly father too feeling the spirit helps me greatful for such a blessing .

I watched and listened to the beautiful music and scenery with the Tabernacle Choir at Temple Square, and many times in my life, I have fallen with unforgiveness for myself mostly and others, and have always found Jesus in my soul has given me his hand to get up again on my journey of faith. Beauty of the words, music and scenery of Where Can I Turn for Peace is very helpful and I have marched for peace and to this day my soul reaches out for it as I look at so many beautiful people and the beauty of the earth. I really appreciated the words in this wonderful hymn and we are not alone even in Gethsemane. joan
I have commented in the past that I find some of Mack Wilberg's orchestral arrangements tend to overpower the voices. Not in this one, "Where can I turn". Absolutely perfect. The orchestra could stand on its own without voices, the voices need almost no accompaniment but together they answer the question "Where can I turn for Peace". This recording, for me, is one of their best. I thank them..
in this moment we are passing for many obstacles, and listening this song make us strong as family....we are very gratefull unto Our Heavenly Father....
This hymn left me with so much encouragement on my last Sunday at church.. I realized that this church isn’t the place for peace for myself I continually felt hurt attending.. now I’m embracing my convictions and finding so much peace and soo much joy.. I’m grateful for the journey the church started for me and I’m eternally grateful for the opportunity I have to pursue lasting happiness and peace.
Where can I turn for peace in a world who puts Judgement before Christ, can I pray to God for strength? Do I have the strength to bare up my brethen and sisters? Why can't I see Faith, when all Hope fails me?
