Me too!! I was so self-conscious when I tried on tight fitted dresses and I felt like since most girls wore those and I had to get one too and I never fell in love with any of them but I said fuck it and tried on a flowy princess-y dress and fell in love!

I also understand that it is your senior prom and you wanted a prom dress that you really wanted and felt beautiful in. Don’t be too hard on yourself. You will all eventually get over it.

Don’t settle for the first dress, continue to look! You can always go back for it, if it’s gone it wasn’t meant to be!
Don't feel bad for having a meltdown your feelings are completely valid. I also cried looking for a prom dress. All the dresses I thought were pretty were a size 0-4 and I cried my eyes out because I hated myself for gaining weight. ( I gained weight because of a medication I was put on to help with my mood and it made me gain 55 pounds in 3 months.) You looked pretty in all of those dresses! You being upset is ok prom is where you want to feel your best and it only comes in highschool so you'll never get to redo it so being upset about that is ok. Getting a new dress you feel pretty in is ok! You are amazing!

girl!!! i feel you. i ordered a beautiful sherri hill dress from a local dress store. i had to pay for half of it upfront. so i paid 425 dollars... they told me if i didn’t like the dress when it arrived, that i could apply the 425 for store credit for a dress IN THE STORE. my mom loved the dress i ordered and i hated it. i cried and cried. my mom cried. i feel you. it’s not us being brats, it’s just us second guessing choices and feeling terrible :(

Trust me I know how it feels when your mom doesn’t support you it took me a week to find a dress and it was multiple stores in one day and I was losing hope because I’m in the bigger side and none of the dresses were looking good on me and my mom was getting frustrated and she just wanted to stop dress shopping. I had the exact same thing happen to me last year, I went shopping way too early and bought a dress that I liked because my mom fell in love with it and started crying and I felt as though I should please her, I wanted a new dress about a month before prom because I did not feel my best in that dress, long story short I ended up altering the dress to make it into something that I loved but it was still the original dress, i’m not sure if that is something you are able to do with your dress that you already have but I really hope you find something that makes you feel beautiful on one of the most important nights of your life!

My senior year of prom was not what I was hoping for at all. I struggled finding a dress that I felt confident in and I was giving up on finding the “perfect dress” so I bought a dress that I wasn’t too sure about. The entire day of prom I felt so ugly while taking pictures and I didn’t feel any better about myself when we actually got to prom. Moral of the story, I think it’s really important to find a dress that you feel 100% beautiful in because that is what matters the most:)

ME WITH MY MOM!! i’m an only child, my mother is a single mother and it’s has ALWAYS been just us. lemme tell you, this is how most days ago lmao. we’re just so close we butt heads a lot. i’ve never been able to seriously LOVE someone and realllyyyy dislike someone at the same time other than her. but she has always said to me “even when we’re fighting, i always love you” and that’s all you two have to remember. & to always communicate and talk things out. (us girls got attitude so ik that’s hard hahah) but ily sis!! just don’t want you to ever feel alone because i battle this feeling in my heart too. guilt but not ?? i feeel it !!

I don't think you are Overreacting it’s just a special moment between you and your mom buying a dress. You are so lucky you get to do that. I drop out of high school, I'm getting my TASC my program school does a party/prom but to order to go you have to pass the exam. By the way all of the dress you tried on are beautiful ☺️🥰❤️
Your videos are my favorite! Peom is really stressful last year my sister and I spent 800 dollars but this year was only 150 for senior year and my dress is plain but it’s beautiful! So prom does have a lot of emotions! I hope someone buys your dress sav! ❤️

this happen to me too while dress shopping last year with my mom . she hated every dress and was rushing me and i started to cry infront of everybody at the dress shop cause i was so sad she wasnt supporting me . but on prom day she was the one who was hyping me up and taking the most pics

My senior year of prom was not what I was hoping for at all. I struggled finding a dress that I felt confident in and I was giving up on finding the “perfect dress” so I bought a dress that I wasn’t too sure about. The entire day of prom I felt so ugly while taking pictures and I didn’t feel any better about myself when we actually got to prom. Moral of the story, I think it’s really important to find a dress that you feel 100% beautiful in because that is what matters the most:)

It must have been the green dress because I went to the same Whatchamacallit and showed Chris, one of the helps (who is in the video), and they looked for it cause I really wanted to try it on but didn't have it and this was during the same Jovani event.

I cried in the dressing room going to shop my second time too! I wanted this one dress sooo badly but my mom didn't like it so now im stuck with the dress she likes but it was my second runner up so whatever i guess. You'll look great in anything!

I remember feeling very frustrated when I was trying to find a prom dress. I felt like for me, it wasn't the dress, it was my body image because I didn't have the best body ever in high school. Because of my insecurity, I didn't go to my senior prom. I felt absolutely disgusted with myself. But, YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL, and I hope you know that. 🤍🤍
