Bruh.....has anyone been dealing with these shops taking a large deposit for a build, and telling you its 8-10 months before they can start the build and end up 14months later, still no start date....wtf!!!
Reason why I'm glad I spent my money with a guy from Facebook who built them in his garage. Dealing with big name company can be a headache at times. But also risky dealing with backyard guys too. He didn't require money until the build was complete, so that was a nice touch .
Mine wasn't a large deposit it was $250 to schedule my drop off date in February....but I trust and know others who have used this shop before. I have heard of what you're saying happen to a lot of people lately. Have to be careful. They all blame shit on covid and parts whenever they can, which is a thing of course but its not a thing for every aspect and is particular to certain things. There are several shops around me that won't even take on any other builds or anything right now because their booked until next winter already.
