When that failed I tried to make the jump like a thousand times but of course I failed every time so I had to look up a guide lol

I actually remember doing this when I was younger just because of that achievement, I'd probably have gone insane if I couldn't use rpgs and grenades

I'd say it's possible to beat it without them, although the problems would rise once you reach the hospital - I haven't figured out any kind of easy way to prop climb out out of bounds, so you'd have to fight it, I think. Rest of the fights could be skipped, although strider would be straight up impossible to beat due to the health pool being as long as the great Chinese wall.

Fun Fact: I recently played Half-Life for the first time. When I got to Episode 1, I played on Normal and the first time, I beat it without guns the first time.
