Ever since I was eight or nine, me and my mom would shop at an Asian market called Lotte plaza. While my mom would buy Vegetables, I would go to the little sushi booth at the far corner of the plaza. I visited there so much, that the sweet old sushi lady and the crew knew me as a friend. She was the best, almost like a grandma to me. She's knew me for years. One day, she and the whole crew vanished, and never returned. They used to play songs like this. It was magical. Now they have been replaced, along with the beautiful music, and I miss the sushi lady. I miss her so much.

The album cover is perfect. The song encapsulates the vibe perfectly and reminds of a time when life simple. The pre-9/11 days. So when I hear this song with those Twin Towers makes us think what life what have been if 9/11 never happened.

japan in 80s is..what can i say Its amazing vroo.. i love the funkyness and jazzy mixed with her angelic voice.
All good we vibin, but I think it's ほんとう and すばらしい,( at least the first one is written like 本当, which are the kanji Hon and Tou. Subarashii is an i-adjective so it ends in an い.)
Junko Ohashi's "Man and Woman" or the original name "男と女", is by far one of her best songs ive ever heard and it is so underated. A true hidden gem
I was vibing to the sax solo when I realized that album cover is a picture of the Twin Towers. I'd love to play this song whenever I learn to drive
Japanese 80s pop makes you wanna bust a move with a disco ball and high heel boots while enjoying yourself the first time I heard this song was in my middle school year while riding my bike with my asian friend he played this song when we sat on the field and he just started singing made me heart filled with joy
the energy this gives off is like waking up on a saturday during summer with no worries and just looking up at the ceiling at 9am in the morning and contemplating about life while the birds chirp at that one tree near your window on the first story of the house
This album cover looks like the planet Neptune is literally right next to Earth.
This remind me of when I was little and lived in Shinjuku with my father and grandmother in 2007.. I hear this kind of music through my childhood but then never heard it again until just a few years ago ~ ㊗️🎶 I am so very happy that Jpop is back again and sound better than ever ! 💘🎶 #JunkoOhashi #YukikoOkada #MikiMastubara #MariyaTakeuchi
Thank you Gura for bringing this in yo stream! Love it
I love that World of Horror has an achievement for dialing this number
This is so awesome
This is beautiful, y’all don’t even know how much I’ve grown to love this song
Rest in peace, Junko. You were one of the first to get me into City Pop as a genre back in 2019 and I was hooked from your voice. You have made a huge mark on countless people and your legacy lives on. Thank you for everything, and may you rest peacefully.❤🕊️
