And im learning the down fading process good because of your content but can you explain why you skipped the guard 1.5 and went straight with the 1 and then .5 and 0?
He's using the purple Andis double magnetic guards. These guards never really needed a 1.5 guard, and an Andis 1 guard open blends perfectly in to a 2 closed. The clipper he is using with the Phaze blade is smaller than a regular chunky Andis taper blade, but Andis clippers have a long throw so you can still get away with just using the number 2, 1 and 0 guard Also, in the Andis system, it goes from 2, 1 and then 0 guard if it is needed. Andis does have a separate 1.5 and 0.5, but you can get away with not using them, and their 0.5 guard is pointless. What you need is the 0 guard (1.5mm) 1 guard (3mm) and 2 guard (6mm)
@@hyb7741thanks for the reply brother. One more question, did you zero gapped this clippers? I just got these clippers and I noticed the lever doesn’t go all the way to the last notch. It stops in between the first and second notches.
@ welcome and nah mines not zero gapped but they cut like they’re zero gapped because the blade on the Black Label Andis Masters is close to skin because it’s similar to a fade blade so it takes the bald line out
Cut came out clean and fast! Look forward to more tutorials with the Andis guard system, they blend together so fast!
Yes and thank you one coming today
I’m on deck HYB, and the mic is on point. BG noise is perfect. The shop suppose to have a lil noise in the back ground!
Thank you 🙏🏽 I love the new mics as well

I got this same question
The 1 open blends straight into the 2. Andis master has a stretch lever so you dont need the 1.5 guard

16:50 when you say “close the lever a little bit down”, are you going down one notch at a time or half a notch?
1 at a time

But I use a soft almost veto gapped trimmer to set in lines
