Love BOTM. I started and stopped then rejoined last year. Favorites include The Girl Who Smiled Beads, After the Eclipse, A History of Wild Places, The Good Left Undone. Lots of good solid reads. Enjoyed watching your review. Love the time period of new releases, selections and receiving that blue box!

I have been skipping months more often, the monthly choices haven’t appealed much this year, but when I find one I want I can always find a backlist to add on. Favorites this year: The Lincoln Highway, Crying in H Mart, The Moors Account and Once They Were Wolves. Misses: The Push and The Guest List. I’m on the same page as you on The Magnolia Palace. A friend of mine is also a member and we often coordinate so we can read more of the choices. She’s more of a thriller girl, I don’t love most of her choices. But we both like romance and literary fiction so it works!

There's fantasy about 75% of the time. If there isn't a fantasy there is usually a magical realism or sci-fi, but occasionally there is a month with none of those. You can skip a month whenever you want and your credit rolls over to the next month. If you go to their website, you can look at the past months to get a feel for how often there's a title you think you'd be interested in. Good luck!
I found a book of the month in a free little library. I don't remember what the title was . I DNF it. They have such beautiful covers and then but the trademark on the front cover and ruin the cover. If the trademark was on the back and smaller I would subscribe. I just can't past that logo on the front cover.

BOTM is hit or miss for me. I did love Kaikeyi and gave it 5 stars. I also snagged Death on the Nile as an add on, which I loved.
I love Death on the Nile! Didn't get it through BOTM but do own it. I'm glad you loved Kaikeyi - I know a lot of people did.
