The biggest issue with most believers is few know what believe means. It's not about knowing that there's a God, even the devil knows that. The word is translated from the greek word 'pisteuo' meaning to trust in, commit to, put entrust with. So, it's an entrusting of our life in God's hands. As we lose our life, we find it. We find our purpose.

I also use this example: When someone tells you an experience they've had, and you believe them, are you saying you believe they exist? Or that you trust what they are saying? Of course you believe they exist, but you either believe or don't believe what they say about themselves. The same goes with God. We either believe His word, His truth, and put our trust in it, or we don't. You can believe God exists and set your life to walk in opposition to Him. That would be foolish, but people do it and I used to try at one point in my life. Thank God He showed me the truth of who He is, and that I now believe Him.
