Turning A Simple Idea Into A Cinematic Short Film

Hey - I'm kind of curious about how you planned and set up the walking match cuts. It's so seamless in the editing. Did you have to meticulously block and measure out the distant of the actor and stuff? Really cool work.

Hey! Yeah we just did a rough measurement of the distance and I took note of where I framed him on my monitor. Using the grid will help with that. Then shoot slightly wider just in case you need to punch in and re-align stuff in post. Also make sure your actor does the same style of walking everywhere.
