Not actually what Genesis binds us to? Uhm... "Now the man named his wife Eve, because she was the *_mother of all the living."_* Genesis 3:20 _If original sin came through Adam and Eve... What about all the others? Where did they go? Why did they die? What?_
It just dawned on me the other day that a thousand years and a single day happen at the same time in different places in the universe. It's simple (observed) general relativity. Time slows down and distance contracts because of gravity where there is a lot of matter. Conversely, time speeds up and distance expands where there is no matter in outer space. This eliminates the need for dark matter since time speeds up in the outer spiral arms of a galaxy where there is not nearly as much matter. It eliminates the need for dark energy where space expands in outer space where there is no matter. Another result of general relativity is that billions of years pass by in outer space (13 billion years) at the same time as thousands of years pass by where we are inside of the Milky Way galaxy. ...! Conclusion: The time it took for Creation and since Creation in the Bible is absolutely true!
Why though, why would God create all this time and space and complexity to keep us on one tiny planet, and then keep us ignorant of the scale for so long. Why leave us languishing in our own filth and poverty for the majority of human existence. Why?
@@catross3713 Well from a scientific standpoint, the current consensus is that the universe would not be able to sustain life if it's rate of expansion was even a tiny bit faster or slower. So it could be the case that all the time and space is necessary to sustain life. However, I would also argue that not everything necessarily needs to have a practical purpose. Some things have an aesthetic purpose, for instance wearing a gold chain. So it could be the case that the vastness of space was just an aesthetic choice. It is important to remember that God is most interested in our salvation, not how much we can explore. Therefore, it is entirely possible (and even likely) that keeping humans in one place is much more useful and instrumental for maximizing salvation. Hope that helps, God bless you
@@KD-eh3qo if God is all powerful he could create a universe where those rules need not apply, he could create a universe where our suffering was lessoned and our salvation more likely but just as when Moses tried to free the slaves from Egypt he chose to harden the pharos heart make things worse. Sort of. If you understand how evolution works, at some point our ancestor could be defined as 'human'. This first 'human' ancestor would have had a mate or mates that may or may not have been 'human' too. Be aware this first human likely had several mates, the ideal of a single couple is our projection.
In this presentation, Dr. Swamidass making the claim that there were other humans, also created by God, but that they are not the “genealogical” ancestors of anyone alive today. In other words, we don’t share any DNA with anyone else, except Adam and Eve. In yet other words, Adam and Eve are the genetic ancestors of all humans, and we carry DNA from only these two individuals. This means every human in Africa, with all the vast genetic diversity on that continent, and everyone in Asia and the Americas… all descended from a couple of (white?) folks. Genealogical ancestry becomes irrelevant when this claim is made. And this claim is easily falsified by all manner of genetic evidence. Swamidass has another wide hole in his argument, which is simply that the more immediate descendants of Adam and Eve would surely share DNA with these mysterious other humans. The other-human DNA might have been magically deleted over time, but this would take a long time. So… at what point, exactly, does all of humanity become descended from Adam and Eve? He says nothing about that other bottleneck, the one that supposedly occurs later, when the entire planet is repopulated by just eight survivors of God's loving floodwaters.
