    1. get involved in the campus like joining a club etc (don't do nothing)
    2. build yourself and your network/connection (recruitment programmes)
    3. don't lose touch with your high school friends (they can help u with studying/more connections)
    4. its ok to not know what u want to do even when you're in uni
    5. find an effective study technique that works for u

    I have definitely found your videos a lot of help with understanding what to do and what not to do in my first year, I too also don’t have an older brother or sister so I didn’t really have anyone to turn to for advice and guidance, I still have a lot to lean about what I should and shouldn’t be spending my money so I do have money for accommodation, school supplies, the corse itself ect because I do have really bad spending habits. Some of my personal concerns are realistically how often would I actually be able to work a part time job during uni, and how much Time I would be studying and things like that. I now fell a lot less stressed and worried about my first year now knowing what I would expect to happen. The way you explain things is absolutely amazing and is very easy to understand.

    Hi there, love the video! Awesome amount of information for me since I am doing fyhs next year. Just in regards to getting more involved with groups and all since I'm not yet familiar with the transition from college to uni, how do I find out more information about what groups are available to join? Is there some sort of orientation day for first-year students or an online service on the uoa page that shows the groups available? That's all haha, thanks for posting these awesome videos of your experiences and tips for uni life! They're very helpful and I'm super excited hehe xx

    • @Teyasummerx
      @Teyasummerx  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      depending on what uni you are going to - every uni should have a clubs / societies page on their website so it’s just a matter of having a browse on the uni website ! yes there are also orientation days for new students and so uni guides will be able to guide and direct you on what clubs/societies u can get involved in! I know at UoA we have a week of clubs expos set up around campus at the beginning of every semester so new students can join in new clubs and societies :) I hope that helped! I’m very excited for you xx

If you can, I would highly recommend you choose halls in your first year because not only will be able to get that social experience but i have found my life has been much better and easier now that i live a lot closer to campus ! even if you dont live on campus in your first year i'd still recommend you do it for one year or even one semester during your degree its honestly an experience i believe that is worth it :))

      Bennybolo aww thank you ! and it’s definitely manageable! The pro is that you can do two degrees at the same time and cut out all the unnecessary papers and it’s also very common to do conjoints but the con is that you obviously have to do an extra year or two years at uni to finish your conjoint !

    I'm thinking of going into marketing or international business and I'm struggling to decide which device to get. Are there any software you need to run in these majors, would an iPad work fine as an only device for Uni? I only have a PC at home, so would this work out?

    • @Teyasummerx

      i actually major in both int business and marketing ! if you cannot get your hands on a PC, an ipad will work fine !! as long as you have some electronic device - you should be sweet! with an ipad, it will be really helpful if you have a lil keyboard to go w it so you can type on a document i.e google doc/pages and there are always uni computers in the library you can use as well so no stress at all!!!
