- The endless question i keep getting! Nitro or Electric. For me its an easy answer but here's a look at 2 similar formula 1 1/10 scale chassis from 2 different but great brands side by side. Electric will always be more easy to attain as nitro are becoming more rare especially the "good" nitro kits. The electric chassis is a Tamiya F104W and the nitro is a Kyosho KF01 SP 2 Speed. the nitro shifting into second gear sounds awesome it has a real scale realism
The Kyosho is amazing!! Sounds like the real thing, just mini. 😂🤣
Electric is faster, but nitro just has something about it. You just have to love it. Nitro can be temperamental, difficult at times, and dirty, but in the context of F1 I don't care that electric is faster, the nitro would be more fun here.

Nitro is a pain to tune, but the sound when it shifts ya that is just to cool

Well I owned back in the days a F103 which I used mainly for indoor track purposes and currently I own a Kyosho F1 Nitro car also with an 2 speed transmission and I come also to the conclusion that although the F103 as an electric was very comfortable to use the nitro one just let me feels „more“ alive if you know what I mean ..
It’s good to see nowadays other people that are also still enjoying the whole nitro flair.

My Kyosho F1 Nitro is based on the chassis of the f-ten series like your run with the beautiful gt one shell,the only difference is his length😊
I’m not going to get into that whole debate. Tuning and everything comes into play. In my opinion, nitro wins hands down. 90 percent of people have no idea what they are doing when it comes to nitro. And in today’s society, they don’t want to put in any effort to learn. Nitro is the glory!
Well said and so true. When you get your tune right, there’s nothing better. I’m bored watching the electric, unless they’re on a real track, even then though the sound just takes it all to another level either way nitro. I had a 4x4 HPI 1/10 back in early 2000s with a novarossi race engine in it and honestly that was one of the fastest Rc cars period. I might be wrong but I’d put it up against any electric and I’m sure it would be right there either way them. It was a 2 speed as well. I was bashing in a parking lot one early evening with some other Rc guys and I lost my signal, the car hit a light post, flew up in the air , and when it landed it was wide open and it took off like a rocket before it crashed again. No one was hurt thank god, but the owner of our local shop turned to me and said “ That was the fastest car I’ve ever seen, hope it’s repairable!) lol it survived. Nitro all day longgg. Just make sure your radio stays in control. 😉

Nitro is much slower than electric and it will damage your hearing permanently. Is that worth the cool sound?
For performance, yes the electric as it has instant power. For collector purposes, cool sound, and longer drive duration(cause gas) then I'll go nitro
For a F1 model, I think not only enjoying the speed and looking of the car but also the sound.
I love them both, but nothing beats a proper tuned nitro car

The nitro is awesome but it has one huge disadvantage over the electric and thats noise, with a nitro you need to be away from urban area's whereas with electric you can play in your own back yard and your neighbors wuddnt even know 👍, but yes i love the nitro and its a whole different experience i agree but electric is getting crazy good now and im happy with that ✌, ive got my eyes on a mjx hypergo atm and some other models soon to follow, awesome video here thanks bro 👌

Definitely nitro, electric not even comparable when it comes to F1. Electric sounds like it belongs in the kitchen 🙂
I honestly prefer electronics, water proof, more tq and hp. Plus it doesn’t sound like a steroid mosquito
@@Scxjunkienah man nitro or gas all the way. Started with electric. Outlast 8s,6s Kraton,6s sbr, hpi wr8flux n then got my first gas one last week n it so much fun. The electric just seem dead to me.
It's an electronics path somehow for me. It could suffice with a good vacuum cleaner, but I try to have fun with a few for now.
Both F1 models are very good. But the sound of the electric is fascinating as it recovers the engine and its sound on asphalt. I see the nitro model as more limited. It's an opinion 👍

The up shifts on the nitro sells it for me .i will say this, the little brushed motor don't hang about on 2cell

Electric might handle better with a heavier NIMH stick pack which I think it was designed for. Or you can install a gyro to protect it from spinning out and getting damaged.

I’ve still got my old electric Tamiya monster trucks but had to go out out buy a nitro thunder tiger vx..the sound of it with the two gears is just something else…compared to a woooooooosh 😂….I’m looking for parts for a 1/10 tamiya bush devil if anyone hears of anything, thanks……G
I want of these F1 nitro cars. I see one for sale pn Ebay cheap but needs full restoration. Needs a body and many other things. I would buy it but no nothing about it.
