In this round of the Battle Of The Boards from Boardshop pits the new Channel Islands Twin Pin against the collaborative masterpiece that is the Cobra Killer which created by Matt Biolos of Lost Surfboards and Son Of Cobra.
Once again, we have run both boards through there paces and scoring them on our findings and opinions on how we got on.

Interesting. Most other reviews say the Twin Pin as a good wave/ step-up board. This makes sense based on the flat bottom to V contours and rounded pin tail, which is what you find on most guns. This combination feels bland until you need control in big waves. The deep double concave that runs through the Cobra Killer is going to create a lot of lift and rail to rail maneuverability, which suggests it's not designed for real juice. I have a 7'4 version from Son of Cobra and it's range is waist to overhead. Goes great on a head high wall. But the times I tested it in serious waves (long period, double overhead + beach break) it felt out of control, especially when it wasn't perfectly clean. Way too much lift. My 2c.
exactly the comment i was looking for, thank you ser
I like this, what a difference it is to see them side by side when you can't get to a shop.
Thank you for the kind words!
From the off, just seeing the 2 boards side by side is really useful
Stoked you like it.
Very informative. Keep these coming!
More to come!
Interested to know how the Pukas 69er Evo compares to these two as a daily driver?
Completely different boards. They are not in the same bracket or comparable at all. Email us for more info.
Would like to see someone riding the boards...
So would we. Getting the footage of us surfing is the issue as we all want to surf.

I was comparing these two the other day. Could you compare the Hypto Krypto with the Sunday next?
We have more and more on the way!
