"All Creatures of Our God and King " - Original words by Saint Francis of Assisi (c.1181- October 1226) This hymn lifts and restores my soul every time I hear it . All praise to our Lord, and King !
This powerful and magnificent performance to the Glory of Our Sovereign God can only be attained at Calvinist churches. I also heard it at Grace Community Church (John MacArthur, pastor) where the morning services feature a superb choir and full orchestra. Their organist has been there for 40 years . Impressive dedication shown here with this Memphis church. Soli Deo Gloria.
Nice job. I like that it is peppy and happy, not dragging like so many other versions on youtube. It's a happy celebration. M Webster San Diego/Canyon Lake CA
1 *All creatures worship God most high, lift up your voice in earth and sky, alleluia, alleluia! Thou burning sun with golden beam, thou silver moon with softer gleam, O sing ye, O sing ye, alleluia, alleluia, alleluia! 2 Thou rushing wind that art so strong, ye clouds that sail in heav’n along, alleluia, alleluia! Thou rising morn in praise rejoice, ye lights of evening, find a voice, O sing ye, O sing ye, alleluia, alleluia, alleluia! 3 Thou flowing water, pure and clear, make music for thy God to hear, alleluia, alleluia! Thou fire so masterful and bright, that givest all both warmth and light, O sing ye, O sing ye, alleluia, alleluia, alleluia! 4 Dear mother earth, who day by day, unfoldest blessings on our way, alleluia, alleluia! The flow’rs and fruits that in thee grow, let them God’s glory also show, O sing ye, O sing ye, alleluia, alleluia, alleluia! 5 And ev’ryone, with tender heart, forgiving others, take your part, alleluia, alleluia! Ye who long pain and sorrow bear, sing praise and cast on God your care, O sing ye, O sing ye, alleluia, alleluia, alleluia! 6 And thou, most kind and gentle death, waiting to hush our final breath, alleluia, alleluia! Thou leadest home the child of God, as Christ before that way hath trod, O sing ye, O sing ye, alleluia, alleluia, alleluia! 7 Let all things their Creator bless, and worship God in humbleness, alleluia, alleluia! To God all thanks and praise belong! Join in the everlasting song: O sing ye, O sing ye, alleluia, alleluia, alleluia! *Or, “All creatures of our God and King, / lift up your voice and with us sing”
A very small proportion of Earth's inhabitants know where The Second Presbyterian Church is. It would be wise and informative to state a location. (just a suggestion.)
+pastort1966 If I'm reading your comment correctly, I think you are confusing which church is which. The church in this video is the Second Presbyterian Church in Memphis where the former Coral Ridge organist is now, but the split off from Coral Ridge is the New Presbyterian Church in Pompano Beach that has the R.A. Colby organ that you mentioned, whereas the organ at Second is a 4 manual/96 rank Wicks pipe organ.
Organlover you are exactly correct. Thanks for clearly the air and making this important correction. The music at 2nd Presbyterian is absolutely beautiful also. Thank God forthem
Oooh! Up into the clouds with Angel voices singing in His presence!

Awwesome!!! Magnificent arrangement and performance! So big and celebratory and inspiring in worship.
One of my favourite hymns since I was a young Altar boy at the Cathedral in Vancouver. More than 30 years ago.
Good tempo!!

That's an awfully prideful presumption in your first sentence.
Just wonderful. Worshipful and tasteful, and incredibly majestic. Bravo Second Presbyterian!

Check out the version by the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. Not a Mormon, but I highly recommend it.
Heaven's music, resounding!

I think it sounds wonderful, I would love to hear it in person and I think Mr. Metzger does a fantastic job.

This Rutter arrangement would be perfect if they slowed it down a little and clean up the brass at the intro. Otherwise very nice 2nd Prez
Please how can I get that brass arrangement
