- Nakuru is greatly marketed as a ‘flamingo city’. However, the city has a lot more to offer than just flamingos, especially because the numbers have drastically reduced over the years. Nakuru City is an interesting city with endless options of amazing places to visit and things to do.
Nakuru City is sandwiched between a lake (Lake Nakuru) and a crater (Menengai Crater). The city and its surroundings offer a wide range of experiences for explorers. From its diverse wildlife, beautiful landscapes, unique geographical features, and a lot more, there are many reasons to visit and explore. Nakuru’s beautiful destinations attract both local and international tourists. There are destinations that are popular and well-known, and there are some amazing destinations that are less-known. “What is the city but the people?” ― William Shakespeare.
Apart from the physical features and attractions, the people of Nakuru make the city what it is. Over the years, I (Ben 'benstake' Omwaka' have been taking photos in and around Nakuru and at the same time doing travel consultancy and planning trips.
