Looks solid already and the price is great for a gaming laptop with such specs. Really hope manufacturers pick up on using APUs on more models. This is on 12nm I can only imagine the potential of 7nm on laptops in the future.
Also quite weird that AMD never paired a Ryzen mobile laptop with their Vega M GL or Vega 20 Pro.

Depends on the prices. Some sources say that the asus fx505dy will launch at 700 euros which will come with a discrete rx560x gpu. For a 3550h alone it might start from 500 euros. But then 2500u price may come down or dealers might give offers on them when 3550h laptops release. In my opinion should wait for the 3550h laptops to release.

Check your ram slot, is it single ot dual channel ram?
Dual channel ram gives you higher fps
