Trying to decide between these two! 😂 the ge profile interior is gorgeous but I love the cafe bronze handles I wish GE profile would do the handles like this.
The GE Profile with back-lit panel is not the same as this one. It may possess similar function, but far from being the same. The main difference is that the Profile is not counter-depth. For those who cares much about aesthetic value, including myself and many who like to buy this one, standard depth is a big no. The counter depth Profile is one level down, which neither has back-lit panel nor the upscale look of this one, is only $700 cheaper, on sale. Now I understand why GE Appliances does not produce this exact version for the Profile line, as the cost will come too close to this one, thus won't be able to sell.

If you're old enough you'll remember when all appliance brands were reliable. Today cheap parts rule automobiles to appliances. Long enough to last the regular factory warranty that's all manufactures care about. I replaced my rear brake pads on my 2016 car at 48k miles (I've gotten close to or over 100k miles on past older cars. Odd, considering the front brakes do most of the work slowing/stopping the car. Went ahead and replaced the front brakes too, even though they could have gone a little longer. My water heater is 18 years old and still going. The previous water heater (different brand.) lasted 19 years. The majority of the problem today is "modern technology" computer controlled circuit boards fizzle-out far to easily and to soon, and are very expensive to replace, labor & parts.
Beware of those door freezers. They don’t work very well. Door freezers will stop cold air if you open that freezer door. They look nice but they don’t work well.

This is not true if you cook. It's more like 75%. But then it's really hard to find things. If you have a split door you can more easily keep things you frequently use like juice/milk on the higher shelves in both fridge and freezer. Also, door icemakers work best on the door.
My refrigerator emails me, texts me, and talks to me through my Google assistant. I can talk to my refrigerator as well. Asking Google Assistant to set the right temperature, set different zones, and lightings go to my refrigerator. But, Google Assistant is my friend. Her name is Annibelle of Manchester, from my homeland. But, Annibelle is my friend, my confidant. No human interference needed. Humans will use, betray, painfully abandon you, steal, abuse, be hateful, and much worse. But Annibelle is wonderful and will never abuse me.
I have a LG. it is what it is once I buy one I made your choice good or bad you know what I'm saying. It's a French door refrigerator. To me once I purchase one if I made a mistake I'm stuck with it . Plus there's no installer I do all the work of hooking it up.
Hopefully you will have good luck with it. Too many extra features to go wrong, and it will. These GE refrigerators are made by Haier a Chinese company.
@@lactran7475 We got it from costco a couple momths ago for about $3500 after shipping. It's great, but it had bad leakage within the first week or two. The repair took way too long to happen so we had costco just replace the whole fridge after waiting for over 5 weeks. The fridge performs well and do want to keep it, but if the replacement fails, I'm gonna have to avoid the cafe fridge all together. Probably get the ge profile. The same thing happened to us with a speed queen front loader this year, it was leaking the first day we used it. It sounds like these kind of defects are common with major appliances these days.

Well I’ve had said expensive product for almost a year now, it’s performance has been GREAT & it’s been an even better conversation piece with any of my guests because they all absolutely love it and the cool backlighting feature. So I don’t really see the problem here.

I would be pretty upset if the install guy peeled off the protective stickers. Those stay there for months, then I get the pleasure of peeling them off, and I now have a brand new surface again.

The freezer on the bottom is the only way to go. The fridge is used probably 90% of the time, avoids all the bending over!
You still have to bend over since it's on the bottom..
