Thanks for identifying that source track! I lost the master for this one so I don't actually have that info myself. I'm glad you enjoy the mix!! I hope you'll stick around and check out a few of my other mixes, and thank you for being here!
Right on! I'm glad to help. They really are made to have on as background music, but I do try to make the mice to listen to, as well. I hope you will enjoy some of my other mixes, to. Thank you for being here!
There is a chance I may have saved over the master by accident when I used the template for another mix. I have become far more diligent about avoiding such occurrences, but that doesn't help you presently. lol. I just wanted to let you know that I didn't blow you off, and if it ever turns up I will absolutely let you know the name of that source track. I'm sure you're aware that it was altered considerably for this mix and isn't really the same listening experience at all. ;) :P :)
Oh, see, this whole mix was made into "vaporwave" by the same producer, using stock music as source material. Listening to the original, unedited versions is not at all thee same experience, so as far as that goes this is actually the only place to hear this music. There are ways to either bookmark the time-stamps, or there are legit methods to download the audio and edit to taste-as long as it's only for personal use. I'm sorry I can't be more help. I very much appreciate you being here.
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it. Jazz is a very big tent, especially here at Vaporjazz Lounge. If you had to chose a one-word top-tier genre to replace your (creative and fun) genre-salad, what would it be?
Thank you! No, this music only exists on this channel. The tracks were crafted from stock music. I have been thinking about making CD's and uploading mixes to Bandcamp and Spotify.
I'm an OG Fagen fan, but this is all made from stock music samples. It might be sort of a knock-off, though. I have definitely seen (heard) that with some stock music.
@@VILLANUEVAGREGORY It is made from a stock music sample, but it is so altered that Shazam or TH-cam can't identify it. Unfortunately, I lost the master file ,so I no longer have the title of the original, but like I said, it is stock music that was just meant to be used as background music.
Or, perhaps you were asking about the track names and artist credits for the vaporwave versions in this mix, but they are all created by one artist and don't have individual track titles. In any case, thank you for being here!
@@VaporjazzLounge Thank you for the quick answer. I was just looking for the stock music samples, more specifically the one starting at 37:22, the one before and after as well. Thanks for the amazing work!
@@professionalprocrastinator8103 Best I can tell from how I wasn't as organized back then, the sample for that track is Softglove by Far Orange. The sample before, starting at 32:28, is Port Said, also by Far Orange. The sample that starts at about 42:09 or so is Tequila Supper by Magnus Ringblom Quartet. A TH-cam search should bring the original music up for you.
I'm sorry to report that I lost the master that contained all of the file names. Ironically, out of 106 mixes I've uploaded, this is the only one with lost info, and it's the one that gets the most views lol. Thank you for being here! I'm so glad you enjoy the mix! It's all stock music, but that world is full of copycats, and many artists emulate the great Miles Davis.
I had to go look up Carla Bley and I love that. I listened to "Lawns" first, and what an exquisite work! It's smoky and sultry but also melancholy and nostalgic. Pure perfection! The Haines collab is right up my alley with all those Mingus vibes. Then I started to think I would probably just choose to listen to the Master Himself if I was in the mood, but then the music took a turn toward a more foreboding and desperate sound; some darker zones where Mingus never ventured. Really quite gripping! Thanks for turning me on to something new to me! Good stuff. Sad to learn of Carla's passing so recently, but proud to enjoy her legacy, as any artist would want.
@@VaporjazzLounge Actually, one of the Bley pieces I was referencing in your Vapor Mix was a track from her "Night-Glow" CD.
