I work in the "sleep industry", one thing i can say, spring mattresses as high as on some of the night stand photos are ridicilous, the height itself does not matter, what counts is spring style and count, and foam used. Too many sales people do not always think about measurements, EVEN when they sell the mattress along with the bed and nightstands. They too often sell a 15'' high bed base with a 15'' thick mattress to a 5' 2'' lady... It' s not only a real design issue, but it can be horribly dangerous, and certainly impractical. Sorry for the rant.
You are so right. I am 5’1”, husband is 6’3”. The bed was too tall for him! Ditched the base and used a bucky board on a bed that was already 14” off the floor.
We bought an expensive mattress without realizing that on our bed,it’s ridiculously high. We both need stools to get into bed and I, being 5’1”, have landed on my behind a few times when missing the stool during the night. Now looking for a thin mattress and box spring.
I saw in a coffee table in your pics today, those stupid beads. I never understood that. I’d love you to teach us how to style coffee tables, round ones too ! You are so right about night stands. I hate those pattern rugs too. Thank you Garrett. 😍
I had a hell of a time finding nightstands that had a narrow profile but yet were tall. finally ended up replacing the legs on the pair of nightstands I bought to get the height I needed. they look really good and the hairpin legs I bought from amazon weren’t too expensive, and very easy to attach.
Garrett I so agree with you about the gigantic floral on the sofa table or kitchen counter-it never made sense to me but I see several decorating content creators who do it. I also have seen many expensive furniture and decor that either look cheap at first glance in person versus online or in a magazine or is just too hard to maintain. Love your content as always.
Many decorators I've seen are good at creating something that looks great, but they're not very practical. It's almost like they don't live in real homes.
I'm picky about lighting for the reasons you mentioned, don't like to see the bulb when sitting. Also, the patterned rugs are not calming a space at all. Thank you for the video and bringing that sweetie Albert to show us.!! lol I love him
Patterned rugs remind me of casinos! Which are not exactly temples of taste and class. 🤣And Albert is so adorable when he's all floppy and sleepy. 🥰 Thank you Garrett!
I love that you are so down-to-earth, realizing we don't live in show homes, giving advice about how to have a lovely home without spending a fortune and always stressing practicality!😃
We have a down filled sofa that was given to us. We refuse to buy brand new furniture. You are so right about them. I'm thankful for the free furniture, but it doesn't work in our home. Spring means the plants head outside to enjoy the gorgeous weather. They come back inside when we get frost. Albert is doing well for an old dog.
As a sewist I can tell you that you may as well throw those sofas out because to fix the cushions it will cost as much as a sofa. I think you could discuss how those sofas are designed for larger rooms. My problem is sofa in front of door windows
The " . . buy a gallon of milk/pick up a rug" comment really cracked me up! I've taken your advice on nightstands and just LOVE the way mine balance out the room. As always, great video - - very helpful! Thanks Garrett!
Yes, I'm almost sure they sold this kind of rug in (or at?) Aldi here in Germany. They also had a set of bedclothes in the same pattern - which I bought. At least the quality of the fabric feels nice, but the pattern? Wouldn't buy that again. (Sorry for my mistakes in English).
What I appreciate about your videos is that you are sensitive to people who can't necessarily afford to have all the latest updates. You give really sensible advice and information that can generally be done on any budget. Rare and helpful!
Thanks so much! I try to provide opinions on a broad range of subjects and styles as well as various budgets. I don’t push my style or waste viewers’ time with chatter that accomplishes nothing but a waste of time. My viewers are smart and busy with no time to waste.😊😊😊
Hi Garrett, I sooo totally agree with you on everything you mentioned. I hate a pattern rug and lamps that aren't proportioned with whatever they are sitting on. I have a down wrapped sofa, and I'm so glad I didn't get solid down. Little Prince Albert is adorable❣️❤🐾🐾🐾
Thank you for more wonderful ideas to make our spaces more beautiful, Garrett! I love how you point out ways to change things we already have to make them more workable. Your tips are proof positive that EVERY space can be elevated, when we bring the right perspective and proportion! Love being in the LeChic family!!! 🤗🥰🤗
You are hilarious. There’s a major hotel that was sued for ripping off my friend’s quilt top. That was before design programs. Now I think rugs will get better and better, thanks to computer designs; and no one wants to pay an artist. Unless you are sued.
Garrett, something I noticed that was making my bedroom look cheap was pictures of the wrong size on the wall. Only after taking a picture I could see that despite they were not actually small they appeared to be cuz of scale, so I got them replaced.
Garrett, Bonjour ! Once again, you brought some great points here, in this video. I love that when you bring a point that is not appropriate or a mistake, you bring the idea to correct what is wrong, or how the situation can be corrected at a lower cost (some designer would say "get rid of this or that" instead of thinking of a way how to correct the situation. Always a pleasure to listen to you ! Love, love your fur baby, so cute ! - Rosalind -
Down sofas. I had one. It shat tiny little feathers all over the living room for years. And then you sit and a little poking end of a feather always jabs you in the back or side or butt or leg. What a mess, what a hassle. Feels comfy when you sit in it in the show room, quickly goes lumpy at home.
Woooooooooow. That nightstand thing is a revelation, I’ve been bothered by my room but I couldn’t quite put my finger on it as to why. I have a platform bed that is 18” so that I can use the space underneath to store things in totes. I love my nightstands but they are a bit too short. I’m going to look into ways to raise them up higher than where they are now. This video is fantastic bc you’re giving really valuable and actionable info that isn’t part of the standard “rug too small” “couch too big” starter pack tips a lot of channels like to dwell on. Also, your skin looks *great* (not that it doesn’t normally, but you look extra radiant here) and your whole vibe is very comfortable and fun while still being authoritative and giving incredibly specific yet still somehow also broadly applicable, clearly defined parameters for most spaces. These are detailed and well defended/explained recommendations that are both fast and easy to implement and instantly transforms the space to prove your points. These are primarily issues with visual weight and balance, not simply taste level or preference (I feel like anything in that usually teal, navy or maroon polygonal basic btch 3-piece-set-from-big-lots pattern is the textile equivalent of someone who talks to you about themselves and then immediately starts scrolling through their phone the second you respond) Something about people with too many matching things, like frames in a gallery wall that look like they came in a set or even your kitchen appliances, reads as cheap to me. Also rarely vacuumed rugs/carpets regardless of how new or nice they are look cheap if they aren’t vacuumed often. Monochromatic spaces done without a very strong personality and intention behind them. Superfluous, unused decor like a vanity or office desk that’s never used, and anything used as decor that’s not clearly a reflection of the person decorating with it. Nothing in my home is detached from who I am, and you can usually tell by looking at it what my reasons were for choosing it. Bc if I didn’t like something, even when I was broke and didn’t have a bed or a couch or anything i needed in my home, I made sure to only buy things I loved, even the things that had to be cheap (lol which was everything!) but I take the time think and plan and ruminate over what color, material, size and style of thing I’m going to go with, so that when I do find it I’ll know. I just spent like 2 months looking at and _thinking_ about metal storage shelves before I’d order any, but bygod the ones I finally _did_ get look amazing. THIS COMMENT IS SO LONG CAN YOU TELL THAT I’M ACTIVELY PROCRASTINATING AND PAST A DEADLINE? 🫠🥴😫👩🏼💻🤷🏼♀️💅🏻⏳⌛️💸
My guest room nightstands are side tables from my mother's home. They are generously sized and the perfect height - guests love this arrangement, as they have plenty of room for their stuff!
I always learn something new watching your videos Garrett. I’m going to get rid of that big ass plant in my living room today. LOL! I’m also going to tell my sons the best Christmas present for me this year would be for them to buy me a consultation design session with you. How long are your consultations? Thanks again!
I’m so happy that you are enjoying the content! It would make a great Christmas present! Virtual consultations range from 15 minute sessions to 90 minute sessions. You can learn more about it at intro.co/garrettlechic 🎄🎄🎄
I really liked this, you are so right about rugs !! I adore rugs but its inportant to put some thought into them. The great thing a rug should be flexible in a budget! Lots of options 🙂 Onw more thing what a sweet little doggie ❤ Take care 😊😊
Oh man, I was just telling my husband we needed to replace our lamps. Some small spaces, like our condo living room, dont have the ceiling light centered, and lamps can't take up too much room. They worked for a while, but after remodeling and painting, theyre just too bulky to work with the condo space. Im going for wall sconces and recessed dimmable LED around the ceiling.
Awe that's so sweet about your dog. My dog is old and acts just like that when he's snoozing... and he snoozes all day since he's 18. People always tell me to put him down and I gasp 😱 Just like your dog, around dinner time or when he's awake he's up. I hate that people jump to killing him off because he's not perky all the time. He's retired!!
That’s horrible for people to say. People that have a propensity to just put older pets down should not have them. Life matters and that would be a last resort option which should rarely be used.
Thanks for all your wonderful tips. You are more than a designer with your keen sense of how to make a home come alive and comfortable. And you are so practical. Love being a part of the la chic family! Albert is so cuddly.
I love this. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong, but I know it doesn’t “look” right. So, we hired someone to help us. She came in and removed the “patterned rugs and replaced them with much nicer rugs. What a difference it made in the room. She did other things as well. But seeing this video, I now realize what a mistake I was making.
Hello Lovely Le Chic Fam! When my daughter was in Design school, I purchased a patterned rug that was colored blocked. I thought all the colors were so coordinated with my living room. I asked, 'What do you think?' Her words..."Ugh, I hate it, burn it!" 🔥Needless to say, of course I returned it. 😂😅😂 Until next time, Hugs xx
Hey Garrett, Your channel is pure gold!!! Can't imagine a better way to set aside the overwhelming stresses of the world than to consider fresh, fun topics like chunky vs tall lamps, rug textures/patterns/colors, & night stand height vs mattress height. Genuine issues that have affordable & doable solutions, & that provide a real sense of accomplishment when implemented. LOVE IT!!! ❤❤❤
I have a cloud sofa and totally get what you are saying. My husband actually will not sit in the living room right now because of it. 😂I am diy'ing foam support to throw in under the down. Super easy to do with some foam and an electric turkey carver/knife.
As always great video! I loved the tips on nightstands and the lamps. I already followed those rules although I wasn’t aware of them - it’s just made more sense to me look-wise 😊 The Albert break was so perfectly timed! 🥰 Oh I love this sweet boy so much - just the sight of him is calming 🥰🐾 I have a suggestion if I may: I would love to see an office (particularly home office) decoration tip video. I am a psychotherapist who works from home and see patients virtually so the only thing that others see (just like everyone who works remotely) is the wall behind me. I personally love the classic mix of white, gold and blue chinoiserie when in good taste and well balanced. ☺️ Thank you in advanced for considering making this type of video. ❤
Albert is my absolute favorite character ❤. He’s too adorable. I melt inside every time you bring home on. I just want to hold him, never mind the dog hair. Who cares? He’s the perfect baby. I learned so much about rugs. Thanks for breaking that down and I couldn’t agree more. And nightstands and lamps. I suffer from OCD so I tend to be symmetrical at times with my furniture preferences but I do not need matching sets. I have a set of beautiful antique nightstands but they don’t match anything else. And I’d love some beautiful lamps but now I need to shop for the perfect bedside lamps. I agree nothing worse than a lightbulb shining in your eyes. I used to buy pink incandescent light bulbs a long time ago because they were so beautiful and a soft gentle light especially in the bedroom. Thanks always for the great insights and tips
I love your technical advice but by far your best advice is the practical aspects. Reminding us that something expensive can look cheap. In the famous words of goddess Dolly Parton - "It costs a lot of money to look this cheap". Great advice about one can improve one's home without spending much. I will go to a carpet store (not big box) and purchase a remnent and have it bound to use as a rug. I can get the size I want at a great price. Like you, I want a heavy lamp on the bedstand. Nothing worse to be fumbling about in the night and knock over a flimsy yet potentially expensive lamp. Especially true in a guest room when guests are not familiar with the space or lamp. What I admire about you and your advice is that I would imagine when you work with clients, you focus on use, budget, and beauty.
I agree and love all these things mentioned. I have typical champagne taste and Pepsi budget so i search forever to get the right thing for a room. Cheap looking rugs - totally agree and will ruin a whole room. Scale and where to spend are key. Great help!
He is just so royal, Albert is. Thanks GarrettLeChic, I’m hopeless in decor, me and my eclectic decor, would make you screech 🤯🤯😂So I’m here and a new subscriber you got me when Albert appeared. Cheers 🥂 from Australia 🇦🇺
I’m looking at that fiddle leaf on the bathroom counter between the wash basins. My Dear, you would never be done wiping toothpaste spray off the leaves. …It’s gross enough cleaning it off the mirror.
8:22 😆🥹😅 clearance rugs at the grocery store! Hahaha you’re not off about the computer program scenario, that’s probably how a lot of designs got done in the early 2000s 😁
@@j.m.7056 Most houseboats have a deck to keep the doors well away from the water. Maybe it's just the photo angle, but it looks like a heavy storm with choppy waves would have the water seeping inside.
Really enjoyed this video! I agreed with all of your suggestions and as a result of your tips, I moved a real plant I had on my coffee table because it had grown too tall. I replaced it with a low candle. You always make such good videos with good information!
I have suggestions! When you need or want to buy furniture, the velvet type of fabric is great. It comes in different formulations. A cotton polyester is great, and if not much of a choice, then all polyester is good.(All cotton may shed- do the wet test: wet your hand a bit, then rub, sort of vigorously back and forth. If you get a moderate to a lot of shedding - well, not good.) Cats respect velvet fabric. It is soft, and they will lay on it, not scratch it. If you have rough fabric, that is an invitation for destruction. (So is a combo of any fabric that has soft patches, with rough patches like where the fabric is flat rough like needlepoint - I hope you know what I mean- and then has furry areas also- this is seen with some patterned fabric. That is kitty scratch Heaven.) Wicker-oh, no. Fur will get into the nooks and crannies. If you worry about dirty paws, and want to protect your furniture, buy a duvet cover or blanket in matching colours of your furniture and place nicely across the seats of the furniture. That way it will blend nicely, and won't be offensive to you, if you like things to blend in. When company comes over, take the 'seating covers' off. The pets most likely won't mess anything up during company time. Try not to get tables etc with sharp edges/corners. I like to think of animals as little kids- if a kid can break something (or a clumsy adult-me!) so can a kitty or dog. So, try to decorate accordingly. I even put those wall socket plug cover things in unused outlets, as well as child-proof latches on lower cupboards in kitchen /bathrooms. (Yes, they were needed.) Cat trees are essential- put by a window. They makes kitties feel calm and safe, and they can bask in the sun. Don't leave cutlery out , (especially poking up!) in a dish drainer thing. Even the best behaved kitty could climb up, jump, fall on a utensil. And watch where you walk, because you don't want to slip on those plastic balls. You should be able to have a place made beautiful for your pets, that will also be stylish for you!
I remember reading from a book on decor that medium to dark green, and dark green were the most forgiving colors for furniture. It hides dirty paw marks better than most colors. 🤷♀️
We are slowly putting our home together, what would you suggest buying 1st, the rug or the couch? I'm worried about getting the wrong size rug for the couch that we're getting for Christmas, but I want a soft rug for my second-born to learn how to walk on by probably October.
I would need to know more about the design plan before giving an opinion. I’m planning on starting a virtual service for individual decorating consultations on a limited schedule basis. I’ll announce it in my videos when it’s ready to start.
It would be hard for me to suggest anything because I don t know your tastes and I can’t see the space. I’m hoping to offer a virtual service on a limited schedule basis for individual decorating consultations sometime in the future.
Hi Garrett, I think you are wonderful. You’re are super talented and I love watching you style videos 15:13 . I would absolutely love to see a virtual service for individual consultations🎉 that would be the best.
I inherited a loveseat that turned out to have down-filled cushions. Ugh, what a pain! About 1/3 of the feathers have come out, and the cushions now look all lumpy and misshapen, even though the upholstery's still in good shape. I wish my dad were still alive, as he was an upholsterer. Now I have to pay $$ to have someone redo the cushions.
Maybe you could pay a curtain maker, an upholsterer or a clothes alterer to reuse the cushion cover and insert a single piece of foam. That might be an affordable option. I know curtain makers do make cushion covers, even when you supply the material 😊 Doesn't hurt to ask 🎉
I took the rug from my smaller sitting room the other day as it needed cleaning and i was shocked when i took it up that without it the space looked way bigger! Im not putting it back now. (Wasn’t a cheap looking rug but im liking the more airy space feel)
YES! I had a down-filled sofa for years. Unbelievably comfortable, $$$$$, but if you didn't fluff it before you sat EVERY TIME it looked saggy and lumpy. Also, despite being expensive nothing lasts forever and all those feathers eventually start working themselves back out. Such a mess and no one likes being poked with quills.
Good morning handsome person😍 Thank you for the fire cracker cheeky episode. I enjoyed it and came as a mid week surprise🙃 Awww Albert, love you for your calmness🥰 Have a wonderful week Garrett, and keep spreading your evergreen radiance❤️
Oh yes, my pet peeves are those silly branches in some container that are placed on the ottoman or coffee table. Why? It now has to be moved so you can watch TV or talk to someone across from you. So silly.
I understand. My recommendation would be to subscribe to the channel and put your bell notifications on if you haven’t already so you don’t miss any videos. I’ve talked about lamps quite a bit. Also, a great thing would be to watch past videos on my channel page as you can. There is allot of great information there.😊😊😊
ive got a thing against matching lounge suites... and lazyboy chairs.. they are so ugly and cumbersome and old fashioned..and i hate furniture clutter.. as in,,, too much furniture in the room and furniture that isnt used..I just got rid of a large ottoman because i never used it..
Sadly our dear Albert passed away in October 2023. He was 20 and amazing. I made a video about it. We miss him dearly as does his brothers Linus and Cornealius.
I'm pretty certain that you would like the subtle patterned living room rug I chose, with coordinating throw pillows of similar pattern, against plain grey furniture. The main colors, pick up the color of the floor in the adjacent room, which is grey. At least I would hope you would, as an exception. That's alright if not....
Ok Garrett - love this episode, the drama and Albert 🥰 however, I’m guilty of the large vase of flowers on the bar height island. I have three pendant lights over the bar and I have a tray with a vase and large flowers. It looks ok but I always knew it wasn’t perfect. Would love an episode of the right plants, flowers etc for a space and especially the island bar please. TIA!!
Regarding the down sofa being expensive but looking cheap -- as Dolly Parton said, "It costs a lot of money to look this cheap." Ditto the down sofa.
Agreed!
Amusing but true!😂 I love Dolly, WHAT an icon of sweet goodness!🧁👍🏻😃

Wow, thank you! I appreciate your lovely comment. 🐶🐶🐶
Yay! I’m so glad the video was of help and that someone assisted you with the rugs.😊😊😊
I’m new to your channel….didn’t know I needed this …. Thank you and I appreciate you explaining the why’s and why nots❤️😊🙏
My pleasure! Welcome to the channel Melissa. It’s great to have you as part of our very valued subscriber family!😊😊😊
Your boy Albert is beautiful and made my heart melt!! Old doggies are the best!! My love to your gorgeous boy ❤️
Yay! That’s awesome. 🐕🐕🐕
Until next time, Hugs xx
😅😅😅
I think they teach bluntness in design school. I like it. They remind me of math teachers.
Very interesting points, Garrett. You know what you're talking about. I subscribe.
Yay! Glad you are enjoying. Welcome to the channel Claire. It’s great to have you as part of our very valued subscriber family. 😊😊😊
Hey Garrett, Your channel is pure gold!!! Can't imagine a better way to set aside the overwhelming stresses of the world than to consider fresh, fun topics like chunky vs tall lamps, rug textures/patterns/colors, & night stand height vs mattress height. Genuine issues that have affordable
& doable solutions, & that provide a real sense of accomplishment when implemented. LOVE IT!!! ❤❤❤
Wow, thank you! Thanks so much for your lovely comment Sara. 😊😊😊
I have a cloud sofa and totally get what you are saying. My husband actually will not sit in the living room right now because of it. 😂I am diy'ing foam support to throw in under the down. Super easy to do with some foam and an electric turkey carver/knife.
Thanks for sharing!!
As always great video! I loved the tips on nightstands and the lamps. I already followed those rules although I wasn’t aware of them - it’s just made more sense to me look-wise 😊 The Albert break was so perfectly timed! 🥰 Oh I love this sweet boy so much - just the sight of him is calming 🥰🐾
I have a suggestion if I may: I would love to see an office (particularly home office) decoration tip video. I am a psychotherapist who works from home and see patients virtually so the only thing that others see (just like everyone who works remotely) is the wall behind me. I personally love the classic mix of white, gold and blue chinoiserie when in good taste and well balanced. ☺️
Thank you in advanced for considering making this type of video. ❤
Thanks so much! I’m glad you enjoyed the video and Albert. 🐶🐶🐶
Albert please keep coming on to keep us happy. Love him.❤
We love him and his brothers very much. It is scary to us that Albert is about 19.
My pleasure! Glad you enjoyed the video. 🐶🐶🐶
Thanks so much, and thank you for sharing!😊😊😊
I agree and love all these things mentioned. I have typical champagne taste and Pepsi budget so i search forever to get the right thing for a room. Cheap looking rugs - totally agree and will ruin a whole room. Scale and where to spend are key. Great help!
Thanks for sharing!!
Loved the video. Really appreciated the information on lamps. That is one of the hardest items for me to shop for. Great tips
Glad it was helpful!
Love love love the blue chair and Tarkay blue complimenting each other! Oh, and your blue shirt looks fab blended in as well.
Thanks so much!😊😊😊
“An ocular migraine that I don’t want to be a part of!” Priceless nugget! Your advice is really useful, thank you 😊

My Stickley sofa has down wrapped foam cushsions. I rotate them monthly. Both seat and back cushions are extremely comfortable and always look neat.
Yes that great! Love down wrapped foam cushions.

Awww your little guy is precious 💙 19 yrs old WOW! Thanks for the great tips.
Thanks so much! 😊
I’m looking at that fiddle leaf on the bathroom counter between the wash basins. My Dear, you would never be done wiping toothpaste spray off the leaves. …It’s gross enough cleaning it off the mirror.
Albert is just adorable bless his heart ❤️
👑🐶🐶🐶👑
All of your tips are correct, they make sense 😊 Raising plants in a larger pot is an easy and inexpensive fix 🤩
Thanks!
Such a talented delivery. ❤
Thanks so much!
Excellent points! Lmao at the gallon of milk let’s got a rug while I’m at it 😅😅😅
🤣🤣🤣
Plus the color of that rug didn't go with the space. That room would look so much better without the rug.
I just adore the love you give Albert. ❤️
Thanks so much! He and his brothers are very loved. He’s doing pretty well for 19.
Great great great great advice. Thank you for sharing. ❤💯

Well I definitely failed in the lamp department in my bedroom. :) I might have to move some things around now. Have a good week.
Thank you! You too!
@ 7:37 I've heard of waterfront property but that's just ridiculous.
Maybe it is a houseboat?
@@j.m.7056 Most houseboats have a deck to keep the doors well away from the water. Maybe it's just the photo angle, but it looks like a heavy storm with choppy waves would have the water seeping inside.
@@SarahRenz59 I forgot about the decks!
OMG, Albert is adorable! I subscribed!
Thanks! Yes he is as well as his two bulldog brothers. Welcome to the channel. It’s great to have you as part of our very valued subscriber family.😊😊😊
Really enjoyed this video! I agreed with all of your suggestions and as a result of your tips, I moved a real plant I had on my coffee table because it had grown too tall. I replaced it with a low candle. You always make such good videos with good information!
Glad it was helpful!
Speaking of Albert . . . can you please offer any practical advice about decorating for people who live with dogs? (Or cats, even?)
This is a great idea! I always learn something new from these videos!

If you get a moderate to a lot of shedding - well, not good.)
Cats respect velvet fabric. That is kitty scratch Heaven.)
Wicker-oh, no.
(Yes, they were needed.)
Cat trees are essential- put by a window.
Hi Garrett! I have empty glass door kitchen cabinet uppers. I don’t own any fine China, pottery, or anything to display. Any suggestions?
It would be hard for me to suggest anything because I don t know your tastes and I can’t see the space. I’m hoping to offer a virtual service on a limited schedule basis for individual decorating consultations sometime in the future.
Hi Garrett, I think you are wonderful. You’re are super talented and I love watching you style videos 15:13 . I would absolutely love to see a virtual service for individual consultations🎉 that would be the best.
@@lilisurber1712 Yay! Thanks. We are working on that and an another surprise for our wonderful subscribers. 🤗

Albert you are adorable. I have a 17 year old Dachsund. I love her!
Very sweet! I bet she is so cute.
Ooh! I hate those printed rugs!
☑️☑️☑️
I have seen that pattern on drapes too …yuck
I inherited a loveseat that turned out to have down-filled cushions. Ugh, what a pain! About 1/3 of the feathers have come out, and the cushions now look all lumpy and misshapen, even though the upholstery's still in good shape. I wish my dad were still alive, as he was an upholsterer. Now I have to pay $$ to have someone redo the cushions.
☹️☹️☹️
Maybe you could pay a curtain maker, an upholsterer or a clothes alterer to reuse the cushion cover and insert a single piece of foam. That might be an affordable option. I know curtain makers do make cushion covers, even when you supply the material 😊 Doesn't hurt to ask 🎉
I took the rug from my smaller sitting room the other day as it needed cleaning and i was shocked when i took it up that without it the space looked way bigger! Im not putting it back now. (Wasn’t a cheap looking rug but im liking the more airy space feel)
👍👍👍
Albert, you sweetie! Thanks for helping your dad make great videos
I try!👑🐶🐶🐶👑 I’m 19 so my brothers help too.

Thank you for the bedside unit pointer, going to change the legs - it's been stressing me and I couldn't work out why!
My pleasure! Thank you for watching, and supporting the channel by subscribing.😊😊😊
Thanks for sharing!
@@GarrettLeChic I should have specified, no one likes being poked with quills when they just want to relax. Lol
Love the suggestion to buy a 5’ tree and put it in a pot to elevate it! Brilliant!

I just bought a new low profile box spring for my guest room. It saved 5”.

Oh yes, my pet peeves are those silly branches in some container that are placed on the ottoman or coffee table. Why? It now has to be moved so you can watch TV or talk to someone across from you. So silly.

I struggle with lamps.

@@GarrettLeChic you're incredibly lucky to have had him that long.

Sounds very nice!😊😊😊
@@GarrettLeChic Awww, Garrett....

TIA!!
