Muchas gracias x postear este material. En Argentina nos perdimos la visita de KISS por culpa de un grupo relacionado con los militares.. Soy fan de VINNIE VINCENT. una pena por el estado de esa cinta, pero esta muy bien igual.. Greetings from Buenos Aires Rock City!!!!
Saw them in Dallas the day before, they weren’t cleared to use the pyro and the coliseum wasn’t exactly full either but they put on one hell of a show, the energy coming from the stage was electrifying. I remember Paul was all over the stage, never stood still. Vinnie looked nervous walking in the platform boots,Eric was thunderous on the drums and Gene was humping his bass guitar the whole evening.
THANK YOU SO MUCH for posting these nugget clips !!!! - I know that they were at their lowest point commercially speaking around 1983 (and as a 12 year old Ace fan, I hated Vinne) but these are classic news reels that bring amazing joy to a very innocent part of my life. I know I sound corny but it's true. - thank you again.
I saw KISS on this tour at the Civic Auditorium in San Francisco (last US date before they took off the makeup) I remember being bummed out that Ace was not there seeing as he was on the huge artwork that advertised the show (the Creatures album cover I believe) it was a great concert Motley Crue opened for them and it was a full house, I did not see a empty seat anywhere, this was the second concert I ever saw, I am so glad I got to see Eric Carr and Vinnie Vincent in makeup with Gene and Paul, they all took the makeup off a few months later and it was not the same even though they were good and had a hard tight sound.
@Craig Willis nope. Motley opened several gigs at the very end of the COTN US Tour. California, Arizona and Nevada. The jury is out how well attended the gigs were. You hear so many diff reports and hard to believe Kiss "kicked Motley off the tour" because the US tour ended 4-3-83 in SF. The infamous Rio show was 10 weeks later
This is my 2nd fav era of Kiss. (Alive is #1). But Creatures is easily my favorite album. I had tickets to see them in San Diego, but unfortunately they cancelled because of low sales. Motley was opening. 12 year old me was, who is Motley Crue. Then short time after, Shout released, then I became a Cruehead 4Life. Early 80's metal and rock was amazing and phenomenal.
This was during the Creatures of the Night Tour (1982 to 1983). WOAH!!!!! 🤘🎸 Paul Stanley - vocals, rhythm guitar ⭐️👁️💋🎸 Gene Simmons - vocals, bass 😈👅🔥🩸🎸 Eric Carr - drums, vocals 🦊🥁 Vinnie Vincent - lead guitar, backing vocals 🌙🗡️🎸
Did they play the Summit or the Sam Houston Colosseum on this tour? The Summit was expensive to rent, the Sam Houston was cheap. I would have seen them in Houston, but was in Dallas at the time and they switched from Reunion Arena to an older cheaper building. They were LOUD. One of the most raucous Kiss shows I’ve ever been to.
I have heard how awesome the tank was on the Creatures tour. I saw Lick it Up, but it was rather boring. I haven't seen any photos where the tank is setting off pyro or anything.
the words ........"to be in KISS" .......never really thought about it much when gene said it about Vinnie ........ But- Its an ENOURMOUS GIANT HUUUUGE deal. Do you realize that takes ALL struggle out of "trying to make it" .. bands spends a decade trying to make it and when u get there it may crumble. ............... As for Vinnie, Goes into KISS......... and has even the slightest issue with gene or Paul, to me that is Lunacy. Insanity! Vinnie screwed up Msssively. Thats like someone offering you a 100.00 per hour job, great hours, great benifits ..... but you quit because...... theres soneone working there you just dont like. Thats how Logical it is about Vinnies issues within KISS. - Gene & Paul were the owners & foremans & immidiete boss & bandmates all in one , DO WTF they say & what they want, PERIOD.
How anyone can call this the "best lineup ever" is beyond belief. They sound empty and soulless without ace and Peter. I wish ace and Peter could have worked together with some other new york city boys and formed a supergroup . Maybe Ace,Peter and Eddie money .... bassist from blue Oyster cult... call it N.Y.Riot or NY BLACKOUT. Furthermore I don't think kiss would have ever made it without ace and peter.... and congrats to all the Kiss Army supernofans who helped perpetuate all paul and genes bullshit over 30 years of zero hits.
the best line up ever. Heavy! powerful! just incredible!
Wow! This is cool. I love seeing Vinnie footage.
I love hearing Eric Carr’s voice omg

o wow.....i remember this, the first time I seen them in concert!
Creatures & Lick It Up are legendary albums. This line up was electric, such a missed opportunity.
Shame they only did 2 albums. The only Heavy Metal KISS!!
@@breal1183 Creatures my best KISS album every track to the cover, love it.

ankh vinnie. He seems like a funny guy, too bad it didn't work out
Glad you are enjoying it - the quality isn't very good, am always looking for upgrades. Cheers!
Imagine, there may be a first generation copy of this out there somewhere...

how were Motley ? - is it true that they "over-shadowed" KISS at that stage given they ruled California back then ?

@Craig ask Doc McGhee. he managed Motley at the time and now he manages Kiss. he has to know the legit story, no?
thanks for this , its great !

Awesome! Thanks for posting!
This is so awesome! Rare footage!!
Anybody notice Paul walking by the camera at 0:17 out of costume & makeup. Kinda not the hugest deal now, but still, its sorta cool
Good spot!
Paul Stanley pioneered the sports bra in 1983.
I was 10 in 1983, and television looked a lot better than this.
Not sports bra then; Google "80s crop top," everyone was doing it.
@@CoachStevenReeder yes that was and still is one of the options down here in humid Georgia.
Love this era of Kiss!!! xoxo The Clarences
This was during the Creatures of the Night Tour (1982 to 1983). WOAH!!!!! 🤘🎸
Paul Stanley - vocals, rhythm guitar
⭐️👁️💋🎸
Gene Simmons - vocals, bass

I was there!!! PLASAMATICS opened the show. Friggin KILLER concert!!
WOW !!
How big was the audience at that show?
I was there. Great show!
DJ LEGION Yep! You were! Awesome! xoxo The Clarences
I saw them with the Plasmatics in Dubuque Iowa. Great show
Gene looked very annoyed that he wasn't getting attention. Paul seemed pissed that the interview would start without him. Totally caught off guard.
The REAL Return of KISS
I love how much Eric makes Gene laugh
best line up ever! For the first time in entire career, a intervier ignored Gene. lol
La mejor formacion de KISS! La mejor epoca... bien Heavy!!! Aguante Carr y Vincent!!!
Ankh-cle Vinnie! Hi-la-ri-ous! xoxo The Clarences
I was there. 2nd concert I went to
Hey, me too!
WLOL? It was KLOL in Houston. I know as I was an avid listener of the station...along with 97Rock.
Paul Stanley feels real good
Ankhle Vinnie! lol!

I like those 2 guys but am a big Ace and Peter fan. With Paul,Gene,Ace and Peter, those are the real Kiss. They make the magic sound. The Legend.
I have heard how awesome the tank was on the Creatures tour. I saw Lick it Up, but it was rather boring. I haven't seen any photos where the tank is setting off pyro or anything.
Was that Paul hiding his face at rub start backstage ?
Gene is the odd maN out
Damn!!! Gene looks fucking scary!!!!
That could have been Punky Meadows. If you believe his recent interviews.
Punky's Whips...as heard on Zappa In New York and FZ's Baby Snakes...sung by Terry Bozzio...

Gene looks so miserable here lol.
*Eric Carr* had the worst snare sound.
