    That explains why there's a pizza restaurant where I live called Spacca Napoli! I wondered!

    Love all these sneak peek videos. I stayed in what's called (forgive me if it's wrong!) 'cap u Vomero', meaning just above it. My friends apartment overlooked the Marina Piccola down below. That was the one time I was in Naples and Capri...loved it! Wonderful, full of life people, and the FOOD...esquisito! My family is from Palermo...but I did LOVE Napoli and that area when I visited.

    Great video Nicki, I always love looking at the bay, gorgeous from every angle, your vids are so good it looks like you take a whole production crew with you....very spielberg and I see a higher calling here

      wow! Thanks for the compliments..I feel I need to improve drastically but I'm glad you're impressed! And I'm slowly turning my family here into a production crew, which is actually what my family back home was!

    Very interesting! I've never visited Naples, and had always thought that the whole of Naples was dangerous. Actually, I had also heard that the driving between Naples and Positano is quite challenging. Thanks again for a great video!

      Yes, I would like to try and disprove that idea. Naples is a great city and I have been many times alone and never felt threatened there.

    The restaurant you went to looks interesting , what a way to get a seat :-) :-) just trying to imagine it here ..NOT a chance. Great price .. I think I would pass on pasta and potato , sure it is great though.

      @fedefede89 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Anne Arnott the name of that restaurant is Nennella and it's located in quartieri spagnoli. Pasta and potatoes there is a MUST ad well as the pizza in Sorbillo or da Michele!

    Wonderful video, you walked by a building that reminded me of the Palazzo dei Diamanti in Ferrara with the 3 dimensional diamond facade so cool. Do you know what building it was there in Naples? Love the guy yelling out the names at the restaurant, hilarious!

    • @NickiPositano

      That is the church of Gesù Nuovo at Piazza Gesù Nuovo. Right in front of the Cloisters of Santa Chiara. Beautiful isn't it!

    • @rebekahdelibro9015
      @rebekahdelibro9015 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes!! I was told that somewhere in the walls of Palazzo dei Diamanti is a treasure hidden! Love stories like that :-)

      Rebekah DeLibro Actually On any diamond on the facade of the church there are symbols engraved by sculptors who worked at it. Its meaning is uncertain. Some believed its alchemical signs. Other believed there are musical notes of a strange composition that was called Enigma.

    Hi Nicki ! Great video ️thanks 👍 we really fancy visiting Naples for the day when we're next in Positano ... Just fancy the experience of finally seeing it ...how long did it take you to get there by car ? Id imagine you would need to get the train from sorrento if we went by train ? We've caught that before to Pompeii .. 🇮🇹

    • @NickiPositano
      @NickiPositano  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Debbie, We drove in, it's usually an hour and 20 minutes. If you go by train (from Sorrento) it takes about the same time.

      +Nicki Positano Is it true that San Ferdinando and Chiaia are nice? But Sanità is poor and unsafe.

    Hi Nikki! Loved this "trip" to Naples! Next time you're there check our Floridiana. Back in the late 40's after the war the Migliaccio family (my husband's family) was contacted to ask if they wanted to purchase the villa. Lucia Migliaccio was married to Ferdinand I, king of Naples at the time and this was their residence. It was more than the family could afford back then and the place was taken by the city, I suppose. We visited it in 2007 and were given an honorary private tour of this beautiful villa: www.polomusealecampania.beniculturali.it/index.php/il-museo

    So much graffiti. I noticed that in Rome. I asked our guide why they had it on most every building. She didn't say much about it. I guess I am use to living in a smaller city where we have to paint over it or get a fine.

      Hi Nicki, we followed your Vlog for the visit to Castel L'Elmo and had a most fantastic day out. We have been to Naples on a few other occassions over the last 15 years and now find it a much more comfortable city to visit. Great street food. Most amazing Marinara in the Spacca for E2.. Very many thanks
