Really glad I found this. I asked our Lord to reveal my heart to me. I am far from him and I wanted to know him. I love God, but I have been living my life for the things he can do for me. I get paul now. "To live is Christ, to die is gain"
“don’t look inwards and ask how much do I love God, will find darkness and lack….But look unto Jesus and ask how much does God love me?…..and then our fears will subside and we will be filled with power/grace and love” The Holy Spirit only responds to truth. And will always respond to truth. The greatest truth this side of heaven is that “God loves me”. God wishes to carry his people….but the idol must be carried. Idols = burdens = it is never enough = covetousness/greed. “be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble. Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.”
