    Crazy to think that this was uploaded in 2007 and yet (aside from video resolution) is much better then allot of other tutorials uploaded now.

      It wouldn't be crazy to think that a tutorial from a good mathematician 100 years ago would be much more helpful than one from a mediocre mathematician now, imo.

      Agreed. Math is a truth that will stay the same through the ages. C/d will always be 3.1415926535897... for example, even if we decide for whatever reason to call C/d something other than pi all of a sudden

      Its those little steps you show that help us understand how to work the problems... Hopefully PROFESSORS IN UNI can find this comment and take note. Dont skip the small steps please. You might not need it but it helps those who do. Saves us and yourself some time from having to go back in the lesson just to reexplain everything. 👍 UCF! UCF!

    leaving the video with the portion of just trying to erase the board was genuinely amazing. It's like an artifact from a time where everything wasn't expected to be instant and polished up 100%. You showed us the parts that weren't so glamourous, and I appreciate that a lot

    This has been mind boggling! I was good at calculus but entirely forgot (or never learned) these foundations. Watching from the beginning of this series to here, I understand derivatives in a way I will never forget and it is all completely intuitive. Amazing!

    I am pursuing my master's degree in systems and control engineering, which you may already know involves tons of math.. I'm currently struggling with my thesis project, and I'm too lazy to open my undergrad calculus book . So I watched your videos about chain rule and product rule, and it has tremendously impacted the progress of my thesis project..

    Im teaching myself Calculus before i graduate high school. and with these videos its so far a much easier process than taking a class or learning out of a book. im not sure i could accomplish my goal of teaching myself Calculus and applying it to my AP Physics class and Physics in general without these videos.     One of the main reasons I like listening to Sal instead of my teacher is because he seems so humble. He always says things like "I really hope I haven't confused you", and I just feel like I'm listening to a friend talk. I'm less intimidated by him, haha.

    I like how in the first video he states how he needs to get a new program for his videos yet he uses it for like twenty more xD. Well anyway these are some of the best videos ive seen for calculus. My math teacher isn't flowing with how i learn and he's moving really fast. These videos click with me though.     you know what... I think the problem with University lectures is that they're just too big. Too many people. Cause we've been over chain rule in class like a zillion times and I just couldn't fully grasp it...and here, in a single example, I GOT IT. LOL thank you man....
