The top 5 f2p players are in kraken alliances which is far beyond the average player experience. Not only would they get an insane number of alliance gifts/blessings chest, they likely obtain most rewards in a season, which many other players won't.
As more and more f2p players reach their 1st T5 unit unlock, I will track all that do, at least for those that let me know, so we can find true averages amongst the middle of the pack, aside from those at the top.
If f2p could consistently and effectively still contribute and compete on some level with p2w, we wouldn’t lose so many players. Either shrink the gap between t5 and t4, or let them get it sooner.
It really depends on how good the game is with you. How many speedups etc. I'm a small spender but for example I also made the mistake of throwing 80k gems into artifacts instead of for the rally/watchtower.
I've always been in a smaller alliance and my daily rewards are therefore only VIP or gems from daily packs.
35.5 million power after about 300 days of play
I have like 3.5m t4s as f2p there is no point in fighting against t5s, the trades are insane , the t5 artifact is also insane dps . just compare the damage from epic and legendary artifacts. epic ones deals 1-5k dps on t5s, while legendary deals 10k at best when its just level 1 in artifact skill level...
Some whales deals 50-k100k dps just from 1 artifact. it isnt fair tbh!
I was writing that to VIP since the beginning, everyone that has experience in this game knows that for a f2p get t5 is almost imposible because of the times and requeriments. but devs didnt care, the only ones maybe are the ones in the super big alliances that can open tons of chests, getting many speed ups and treaties and arrows. the devs dont understand that in any game of this class f2p are the core of the game, are the players that keep the game and the alliances alive.
its been about a year and im nearing what people consider 4.5Tier, but actually still so far away. I’ve spent 300$ over the year. At this rate i think ill have it in 6months to 9months, depending on how consistent i am.
Interest in game is definitely dwindling..

Season ST1-2314 and we are stuck on the season for at least another 15 days for no reason. This thing they do also is kiling the joy for many people just quiting for the boredom
There are two ways to look at it BN: 1) follow the WOW approach and accelerate players faster and faster to the end-game, and 2) focus on better match-making systems or competitive ranked game modes...
You've got to remember that original WOW was incredibly popular because the levelling process was satisfying and felt like an achievement... Over the years they eroded that to the point that dropping $100 (don't know exact number) could rush you to end-game instantly...
The other option is match-making systems and ranked game modes... If there was a 15 minute ranked game mode where 5v5 or 10v10 players could queue up for a ranked game against similar teams of players, that would be fantastic! That's a game mode suggestion, what about match making? Well the new migration permit system is a great way to implement that... We know that T5 are going to have enormous costs to migrate, while smaller players will have a cheaper/easier time migrating so hopefully this helps players to migrate to servers that match their level and spending habits...
We need to see how the new KvK home realm matchmaker works... But hopefully it's a better system since it forces kingdoms into pre-selected start regions - taking away the ability of players/alliances to change starting zones to tweak the balance...
I assume because a lot of content creators have been pushing Lillith to follow the ROK home Kingdome system, the match-maker will be improved?

for t5 you need to be active, be in a good alliance and spend some money. You can do without the money part but you need to grind and be active
kinda weird to say, but i am FTP as well. and i like it that it takes some time for us to get to the end game. i think playing a game around 1 year for 1 T5 unluck is owke. after that it goes fast for other troops because tech is almost already done. But yeah it almost all depens on what alliance you are in, and they must think more about that i think.
I would be interested in your opinion on why these f2p players would be so invested, obviously, in a game and wait as long as they have to experience this game at its fullest? Maybe it's a personal goal to show you don't have to spend, and I respect that, but disagree with spending so much time with a game they obviously love to play and not throw a few dollars at it to experience the game to its fullest earlier. In my humble opinion, f2p players to often feel, why spend when you have to whale out to have meaningful quick progress and that turns them off completely. $5, $10, $20, $100... These small amounts of money can make such a HUGE difference and you would be supporting something you enjoy like going out to eat or to the movies. Just a difficult thing to wrap my head around personally. That leads me into my next question...How much quicker would a small amount of money change that time frame? My guess would be drastically, but hard to prove. Thanks for the content BN!

I spend around $100 a month on the game and I’m still not yet to T5. Small amounts of money in an average (read not kraken alliance) doesn’t provide for quick progress. Also T5 will come eventually but if you don’t have decent heroes then you’re not effective.
F2p are invested in this type of game because games like cod or rok are a community driven game where people make a friendship bond with each other where they love to play each(I know sometimes these things don't work mostly in big alliances where you get kicked simply because you have less power or not a heavy hitter) so f2p players found this type of like minded people so they mostly stay together with them and obviously they fight with them too
It's not like f2p wants to prove themselves that they can play and open t5s without spending it's just that they found people in a game where they like to talk and play with them

My main take is , the lack of availability to buy shield for your keep , f2p becomes an easy target for high power players . Plus the teleports , literally a sitting ducj without shield.
I think it should be typically about a year, so I'd go with a minimum 9 months.
I think it’s kind of interesting that as time goes on, I have to adjust the minimum power level to tell at a glance who is likely T5. I also think that the top f2p players absolutely deserve their boosts - it’s a virtuous cycle to be in a top alliance with more chests, but they’re still amazing. They put in their part and work their assess off, and that earns them a spot in an alliances that make their growth faster. 🤷♀️ Hats off.

Personally now that there is an extra 5% and a king status that can possibly control how SLE events are going to be handled, This should help F2Ps by a margin and not having to worry about upgrading early with bad runes or no scholar+King scholar buff is really a great help compared to just a 3% buff for season 2++
Yeah, though they have to wait to get there, since we know it won't come until end of season 1 now, which means around 3 months.
It should not be more than 1.25 years regardless of alliance purchase power because you still have to unlock 4 other t5 units
I don't think it matters, the time line is just too long to bother playing FTP. I think this thins out what could potentially be a broad community of players and the result is a smaller gamer base that likely won't commit long term to the game. I'm a light to medium spender and I just don't see the value in purchasing anymore, the timeline for awakening heroes is just too long and there isn't much to enjoy when it comes to tinkering with things (I mean even at VIP 15 two epic hero tokens a day is abysmal/criminal when you compare it to other games).

My pure free to play account was 45m when i sell my account last december 2023. And npw as far as i know is 58m power. If t you are inalliance wich alot of whales then you can easily unlock t5 within year or a year and a half.
That's crazy I have around 400 days and I have spent like around 1.5k and I'm 5 techs away to start my first t5😢

The problem is collecting Gem 1k per week. Rok collects without limit.
in rok u can do pretty well as f2p if u grind and manage well your account, here is not possible (gems farm capped and no barb chain), the problem is that even as a low spender u cant go far on top of that maxing out premium artifacts is basically impossible unless u heavy spend i think that if devs dont change their greedy approach future of cod might not be so bright, they are ignoring how important low spenders and f2p qol are for the longevity of the game
Well yes for some people it’s a problem because of all super merge with different servers and the f2p get left out because they don’t have the power to join their family so they quit the game and some t5 players get an ego of getting t5 so it destroys the fun in some ways for some families or communities

I could’ve sworn we celebrated Capt Snowball for reaching T5 already? 580 odd days it was. But no, I see he wasn’t done yet, dang.
580 days to me personally seemed reasonable, a little over 1.5 years, and 1-2 new t5 every 3 months after that. T5 isn’t some average milestone - once you finish your t5, you’re done researching, basically. Plus it’s terribly resource expensive to upgrade the troops unless you do it slowly. The rss I spent to upgrade my troops when I finished T5 was absurd, and definitely affected how much I could play the season because I couldn’t rss heal as much.
As usual I think this depends on perspective from other games. I’ve played multiple games where the research and the building NEVER ends, and F2P fall further and further behind with each new release. Right now that’s just not the case here.
I think the length will naturally go down. For every new event, every new season, every new behemoth, every new way to gain rewards - the amount of days to T5 will shrink. It's just inherent power creep. Is it too long now, though? Yeah, definitely.
It very well could be, and if so, I'll be here to keep doing averages for when f2p players hit 1st t5 and then all t5.
Hit t5 at 383days with 52k gems farmed and only pop ups and monthly’s f2p will take ages as gem pool is not only decreased but limited weekly from rok

They dont want that for sure. For me it is way to long, but the publisher want money that’s all… they will never ever change this.
Yeah, a bit unfortunate if there ends up being a lack of understanding on how lowering the threshold would actually make them more money in the long run. Just from 1 approach, having more players at T5 also could create more spending from those that do, and/or even new spenders since there is more of a snowball effect to competition all-around.

It could, whether it be 1st T5 unlock or all 5 T5 unlocks. As it depends on the strength, activity, and spending of the alliances you are able to play with, your activity level, and are you participating in everything that you can. Though once more players start to unlock their 1st T5, I will collect averages along with alliances they were in on their journey to paint a clearer picture.
lol even if a F2p farms gems, forts, darklings for treaties and arrows, manages to get rally beacon and watchtower to lv25, there's still at least 7 100-day Research to be done, and then even after that, there's still heroes to be awakened and artifacts to be levelled up. otherwise, you would still lose to other whales and mid-spender T4s with decent tech, awakened heroes etc
Oh yes, as I did not even touch on f2p only having access realistically to chest heroes until they are max building & vip 15 level, before economically it makes sense to use their premium currency in other places. i.e. wheel, other
Game with vip system always having a trouble with f2p player. No need to play or spend money on it.
It would be easy for the developers to create events that T5 cannot participate in and they can lower the reward payout to reflect that. Why can’t there be a Strongest Lord event for T4s only? Create events where artifacts can be won? Why not have a continuous counter on hero and artifact draws on pity and/or a guaranteed epic without having to pull 10 at a time to get at least an epic? Every aspect of the game is designed for the Wallet Warriors.
I actually like the idea of having an SLE for everyone and then another one simultaneously for f2p (those that have not spent any money on the game). That could be an interesting approach.

Just arrow. Treaty is doable bc you can get at least 1 per for. Arrow on the other hand. you can spend 1800 cp and not get one.
Wish I did not deleter my account. I did it in 370 days. Was in the #3 alliance hardly gold chest. These guys just not grinding hard enough
Shows how p2w it is. Which is why i quitted. Some players were having T5 within the first month, that's when i knew i would never catch up like this.😊
It will be interesting once more f2p start to unlock 1st T5 unit and we start to get averages on how long it takes just for that first milestone to get better baselines.
I didn’t even take these long in ROK to unlock T5
2 years for F2P is fine except the brutal grinding of rally and arrow. Arrows are literally hard to get than gems. Fk devs for this.

Yes this is the biggest problem. If you do the math on treaties farming forts takes 150 cp for 1 to maybe 7 treaties. You need 5000 I think for level 25. It takes forever to get there. You have to burn gems on it. It is the only way. AND for spenders you buy gems for it because there are not a lot of options to straight up buy them.
@@RudyGarcia3 - At least they started adding arrows and treaties as rewards into various events. Personally I think treaties are the worst, since it's simply faster to go and kill darklings. You would be expected to use gems for this as F2P, and you should. That is my goal, since a lot of other things where you use gems aren't that important compared to progression.
Artifacts or whatever into wheels where gems are used can be ignored to the point when you unlock T5 as a F2P, because the meta might change and obviously newer heroes and artifacts will be released. After you are done with the arrows and treaties, then you can save up towards something that could be interesting.
I tell our players to grind gems, not arrows. Better use of your time.
@la_blodreina at the very least you get arrows by killing darklings which you have to do anyway. Killing them grants xp and rss and dust. All useful things. Killing forts becomes less useful after heros hit 50 which makes the grind worse because you have to decide between xp and treaties. Gems is a good option, but a lvl 1 gem node is only 1 treaty or arrow lol.
Everything in this game is a lotery, even when you spend money. Devs are way too greedy.
Less than 1% for legendary heroes changes, stupidly long researches. Everything sucks.

Thats a reason why Pepe only enjoou season 1, that's when Power creep and acessibility are not that huge problem
Yeah, that is another another challenge, beyond what I covered, as I only spoke to the entry to late game and not all the extra Developing that is needed and what is locked vs not.
Cod devs just so money hungry and can’t see past the greed to create a more balanced experience boosting the player base and player happiness of the game
That is why I quit the game, it's just wasting my time
Respectfully, it just takes too long to hit max building, tech, and have all t5's unlocked to really start enjoying the game to it's fullest imo. Game is great, but if you are unable to get to the late game in a reasonable amount of time, does not matter how great a game is, if it drains the player before they get there.

+ я почти не тратил кристаллы на ускорения
Выкуплено было около 4 недель 8ч по 20 штук из лавки
А если отталкиваться от силы аккаунта, то у меня ещё полно 24х зданий которые придерживаю под Лорда, а это ещё +1,5м силы не считая тех зданий что откроются после арфа и стены
