I love this movie with all the terrific actors and actresses..it is such a darling atmosphere and wonderful group of kids...Steve and Mike are so great with the group..they are such terrific leaders.....and so willing to get along with everyone and trying to be the best mediators and are both wonderful young men.

I'm guessing this video presented here is a later release and that the copyright to the original dance song expired or there was some other issue with the rights. The dance song played here has some of the "feeling" of the original music but it's clearly more like a "placeholder" emphasizing the strongest beats of the original.
best course of action would be for the entire "crowd" to suddenly develop a dis-like for laura and exclude her royal highness from all group activities ... allowing the very frightened young girl to finally get out on her own for a change- everywhere laura goes she surrounds herself with lap dogs and brown nosers

To show that there's a social 'pecking order' is very real, both then and now--so yes, that is RL. Also real is that looks matter, both then and now. Were the kids this clean cut? Yes, that is a fact. Did they really not cuss in public? Yes, that is a fact. Were teens well groomed? yes. Were they respectful? yes. ............Now of course, I can't speak as to 'what' the HS's were like in really big cities, but--yes--social correctness was the order of the day.
I thought the show was for children around ten or eleven, but these actors are around 16. The girls look like they could be in college. And they do not seem like children, because of the clothes they wore then. But it is an entertaining show. I watched as a child, but I must have missed some things. Perhaps I stopped watching toward the end, when the Mouseketeers were getting more into high school.
I will say, I hated all the 'original' music in this "Annette"series; Disney's people missed a goldmine here by not musically stepping up to the plate and delivering some stellar tunes. TOO BAD!
