Tennessee is beautiful, I live in Middle Tennessee, but I’m not telling you where, because then our peace and tranquillity will be invaded.. Tennessee in General is just a great place to raise a family. It’s quiet, the air and water is so fresh and clean, the way of life is basically slower and the people are kind and loving folks. I would stay away from the big city life, there’s still crime and high costs like any other state. Just my take…

Rich, actually the whole state feels like Tornado Alley… I’m from the North Originally and it took some getting used to, every Spring and even Fall. But in General Tennessee tends to fall back into time with allot of its ways and wisdoms. It’s clean living for sure! I’ve been here 43 yrs now, and every time I go away, I can hardly wait to get home.. you learn to live carefully with the Tornados!

JC sucks. Rentals are hard to find and especially not for the so called average of $700, try more like $1200. Homes are priced more toward the $300,000 and up range. If you find one less than that, it's usually run down and/or needs updating or it's in a bad neighborhood. The downtown is full of nothing but breweries to serve the college kids and homeless flock there. I've lived here all my life and have been trying to get out but good paying jobs are near impossible to find. There's only one healthcare system that sucks and has monopolize the entire area including Kingsport, which is not accurate in the video either. And with Eastman being there, it stinks like sh*t all the time.

      Nashville might be the best.
Tennessee is a beautiful state, you find lots of kind sweet people . The biggest problem is if you not Christain specifically Southern Baptist , you’re out of luck not with neighbors and friends but with at workplace! You find lots of bias, prejudice bosses and coworkers. Unfortunately sweet coworkers have no power to back you up. The majority of TN bog corporations are hard to work for. In some cases is impossible to continue, they run you off by allowing their prejudice employer to silently harass you, and when you’re fed up and cant take anymore, you better resign or you’re a trouble and has an attitude for standing up for yourself. Complaining to HR will be taken so seriously if you have a solid proof but later you’re gone for a perfect set up to avoid a lawsuit against the company.
They are not open minded at all even though they say so. They believe that anyone that is not from then, ( color, religious, Country of origin) shouldn’t treated like their own people. White Supremacy is what I describe the State. I have been here for over 33 yrs , have many of wonderful friends , had all my kids here worked with highest honesty and loyalty ever with two BS degrees one I had it im the State with honor ( Summa Comm Laude) , fluent in English. But since I am originally not from the State and have an accent, I was treated like a dirt. Except for one wonderful company bc of my immediate mangers were wonderful.
As a you’re Nurse, Nurse are very hard to deal with. Be careful!
Pick a sweet supervisor, make sure you know who will be your supervisor and manager at the interview. One can hire you and respect you but when you work, upper manger and some coworker can make your life like hell.
I hope you have a better experience if most of my people !
      Good luck

I am v sorry dear, I didn't mean to scare you buy I want to be ready for the worse and advice you to think about it if you have other job option. You might know you might and I pray your will be one of the small percentage of lucky Muslims! The unfair media has made so difficult on none white Americans especially Muslims. Unfortunately, it affected every Muslim around the world, more in the States, all States but you see it in the South bc if the very conservative mindset that no way to accept facts that oppose what they know even though their Bible teaches them differently.
I wish you the best luck and may God surround you with the kind sweet Tennessean like my TN friends. I wish my friends were my supervisors or the ones who make employment dicision.

Hard NO on Memphis! I've lived there! If you have to move there, find housing outside of the city in one of the nearby towns or suburbs.
I live 30 minutes outside of Chattanooga now and love this area. I'm close enough to the city to enjoy its entertainment, restaurants, good doctors, etc. But the small town vibe where I'm at makes life 100% less stressful than being in the city.

@@joy7363 We live in TN, east of Chattanooga. This area has impressive views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. West and north of Chattanooga is the plateau, which has lower, rolling mountains. It's beautiful in all directions really! :D
If you want to also be convenient to Atlanta, then south of Chattanooga in GA is ideal. I do love where I live, so I'm biased and really don't have much experience outside of where I'm at, but I'm sure any of the surrounding towns are good, depending on what your life situation is (raising a family, work, retirement, etc).
Anywhere close to one of the interstates (I-75, 24, and 59) is going to give you quick access to downtown and a faster way to Atlanta, Nashville, and Knoxville.
TN has no income tax (with exceptions) but does have food tax. GA has income tax but no food tax (with exceptions) if that's something you consider important.
Good luck if you decide to relocate here! It's been one of my favorite places to live, and I've lived everywhere, haha.

Out of the Big 4, the best place to live is Nashville. Out of all the cities listed in this video, Murfreesboro is by far the best (and is growing fast yet still doesn't have bigger city issues). Memphis is lawless. Chattanooga is the most improved. Knoxville is not diverse and Brentwood is a little small to have listed as a top ten place - it's essentially Nashville.

There are some great areas around Detroit like Canton, Plymouth (where I live) Livonia, Ann Arbor, Northville, Farmington Hills, Novi. Drive through the good areas and then tour the areas closer to downtown Detroit, you will see a huge difference. The good areas are well maintained, and upscale living. Closer to downtown Detroit you see rundown homes, yards with junk and trash everywhere, it just looks like shit all around. I love visiting Tennessee, plan on moving there, but won't live in the city. though.

Don't even think about moving to Tennessee. Every household has multiple firearms and they start teaching boys to shoot a 22 rifle as soon as they can walk. CRT isn't taught in any public school and children are forced to work on reading, writing, and arithmetic. There is so much incredibly flavorful food you can't avoid gaining weight. The women mostly end up as hunting and fishing widows. The summers are so hot you will be forced to hang out at some local swimming hole with the locals; drinking beer, smoking weed, and swimming in clear cold unchlorinated water with girls in wet tee shirts. The state unemployment rate is so low you have no excuse for not working. There is a low tolerance for homelessness and there is a good chance that some Christian ( ugh) church will actually offer you a place to live and a job. If all this hasn't discouraged you from moving to Tennessee then God help you. Oops I said God. Sorry!
