Memphis has a very high crime rate and is smack-dab in the middle of "Tornado Alley". It's also quite expensive compared with other parts of Tennessee.
really? Memphis? On the Illinois video will you add Kankakee, Cairo, East St Louis and Chicago? How about adding Baltimore to Maryland best places to live and Detroit to Michigan best places to live. When you get an incredibly strong urge to rescue the residents of a town or city it most definitely is NOT a best place to live!!
I would not recommend Detroit to anyone. It is a freaking dump. I live in the Detroit area technically. There are some great areas around Detroit like Canton, Plymouth (where I live) Livonia, Ann Arbor, Northville, Farmington Hills, Novi. Drive through the good areas and then tour the areas closer to downtown Detroit, you will see a huge difference. The good areas are well maintained, and upscale living. Closer to downtown Detroit you see rundown homes, yards with junk and trash everywhere, it just looks like shit all around. I love visiting Tennessee, plan on moving there, but won't live in the city. though.
Memphis has high crime but parts of Memphis are very nice Germantown (exclusive area)Sam Cooper neighborhood (artsy/diverse) and Rivertown (exclusive area) all very nice areas
Don't even think about moving to Tennessee. Every household has multiple firearms and they start teaching boys to shoot a 22 rifle as soon as they can walk. CRT isn't taught in any public school and children are forced to work on reading, writing, and arithmetic. There is so much incredibly flavorful food you can't avoid gaining weight. The women mostly end up as hunting and fishing widows. The summers are so hot you will be forced to hang out at some local swimming hole with the locals; drinking beer, smoking weed, and swimming in clear cold unchlorinated water with girls in wet tee shirts. The state unemployment rate is so low you have no excuse for not working. There is a low tolerance for homelessness and there is a good chance that some Christian ( ugh) church will actually offer you a place to live and a job. If all this hasn't discouraged you from moving to Tennessee then God help you. Oops I said God. Sorry!

Memphis has got to go from this list just visited after a few years I was trying my best to find a good clean community none there
You are very right. How are you doing? Hope you are fine and staying safe?
I watched a video earlier that ranked half those cities as the worst place in Tennessee to live. Who do you believe?
Tennessee is very violent! Worse than Chicago and the kkk does exist there!
Than that video was more accurate they just names Memphis as the state second most highest crime rate in America you do the math.
Wrong 😂 KKK
I so happy 😀 to see Murfreesboro I live there thank goodness
Disculpe, por casualidad sabe cual es el precio de renta en un apartamento ahi??
@@mariaberdi1481 depende de cuántos cuartos y de el área pero uno de 2 cuartos en una área más o menos 1200
Is this place low crime? What do you personally luv about this city?
How is Athens Tennessee? My kids are moving there with me following. Retired and artsy can’t wait. But would love to know more about Athens ?
Wow Tennessee looks beautiful and amazing! Thanks for showing us around! Would love to visit there!
its beautiful i visit every year
OMG, it is a very beautiful state. This video is big-time wrong about Memphis, that area is like Detroit.
Tennessee is brutal!
@@johnniecraven4632 why do you say so
Tennessee is beautiful and there are many things to see and do, but some of the cities they have mentioned have serious issues for those who reside there. Come visit first, see realtors, drive through the neighborhoods you are interested in at night.
What no Knoxville? Why?
Agree. Great town. Knoxville
Rogersville Tennessee is a good place
Most people can't afford to live in Brentwood, Also, I would remove Memphis and put Clarksville in it's place.
Memphis is one of the worst cities in America.
Memphis has a very high crime rate and is smack-dab in the middle of "Tornado Alley". It's also quite expensive compared with other parts of Tennessee.
The rent and property are far less in expensive Memphis than all the major cities in TN
Ok
really? Memphis? On the Illinois video will you add Kankakee, Cairo, East St Louis and Chicago? How about adding Baltimore to Maryland best places to live and Detroit to Michigan best places to live. When you get an incredibly strong urge to rescue the residents of a town or city it most definitely is NOT a best place to live!!
lmao.. im from illinois.. plainfield/naperville area.. your comment is so relevant
FACTS! I died laughing when she said Memphis!
I love visiting Tennessee, plan on moving there, but won't live in the city. though.
@@melaniemack8531 lol Plainfield here as well trying to plan my escape out of illinois in search of cheaper property taxes.
Memphis has high crime but parts of Memphis are very nice Germantown (exclusive area)Sam Cooper neighborhood (artsy/diverse) and Rivertown (exclusive area) all very nice areas
Memphis? It was ruff when i was there way back when
Don't even think about moving to Tennessee. Sorry!
They don't teach CRT! 🤣
Then get out karen!
Nice troll post. No way this comment is serious. “CRT” lololol
@@sadboi7537 it seems like a big percentage of the people working at Walmart, Lowes, and Kroger in my small town are transplants from up north. They're taking jobs that should be filled by Tennesseans.
You did not do much research!
I'm tickled to see Memphis on the list. It's absolutely perfect for any California liberals looking to move to Tennessee.
Thanks for showing me 🥰🥰🥰
Memphis??? According to City Data the crime rate is 3 times the national average.
Can you do the top cult/illuminated cities please?
Great content, thank you!
Yep dont agree on 4 that you mentioned. Others have said they are the worse places to live and I wouldn't live there. But I do love my Tennessee home
You forgot Gatlingburg, TN
Kingsport and Johnson City good places to live in Tennessee!? 😲
I beg to differ! 🤦🏼♀️
What is wrong in Johnson City? It's on my list of cities to look to move. Is it crime, other? Thanks for any answers..
Yes they are! Especially Johnson City.. ..Super nice place all things considered..
@@tacomalife5205 NOTHING! It's a great town! I live about 20 minutes outside of Johnson City and I go in all the time.. lots of nice pubs restaurants, live music Parks good golf courses, beautiful scenery.. the old downtown areas being totally revitalized lots of businesses popping up and they're starting to put lofts in some of the older buildings....I moved here last year to get away from the loonies out West..
@@tacomalife5205 From my experience Johnson City it's a very liberal community and Idk about you but this liberal nonsense needs to stop! It's a sad thing when ppl don't even know what God given gender they are and have to make a decision! Smh! Ik it's about in every city like that anymore but JC is by far worse...especially in the old town part! #js #myopinion
@@tammy125 if that’s the worst thing about JC I think you’re just nitpicking. 🤨 sincerely, a Chicagoan who’s tired of hearing gunshots every damn day and night and would LOVE to be in JC. 😂
Nashville tn or Chattanooga TN which one os better
They left off Franklin .. outside of Nashville ..everyone is moving there .. this is a year old though
You didn’t talking about the schools in Knoxville
Hope I could visit there 🤞😌
Any discussion on the natural disasters like tornadoes etc?
I live in Alabama which is called Tornado Alley. We get a lot of Mother Natures' rage but by the Grace of God, I have never seen or been in anything as destructive as what I have read. There are community storm shelters all over the state, now. Tennesse is in Dixie Alley and from what I have read, the tornado seasons are worse, so I am waiting for Tennesseans to check in as well.

Do Switzerland and Austria
Memphis? Seriously? One of the 3 most dangerous cities in the US - this is nuts!
They must have misspelled Germantown.
@@pete3397 One of the nice Nashville neighborhoods, but I couldn't live in Nashville. I lived in Chicago long enough, too packed and too much traffic. Do love eating there, tho.
Gostei muito e o clima é muito bom também ✍️👍
How about SHELBY COUNTY, TN
"The energy of urban living..." Ah yes, getting punched in the head by some random thug trying to steal your phone.
I live in Chattanooga and they are tearing down the projects and putting people in our community they come into our community loud music walking across your grass kids bad as ever and sections 8 houses they don’t cut their grass they wait for the landlord to do it we all know y’all grass holds rats snakes I had orkn at my house and they got rid of my rats the young people are so nasty I have lived here for 42 years and too old to start over but I wanna move my husband don’t
memphis ...is very good
Memphis is at number four??? Seriously???
This tells me that whoever did this video did not bother to do their research at all! Based on that, I doubt the validity of this whole video.
Memphis "drags down" the great state of Tennessee. Memphis is a borderline ghetto.
Please do your research much more diligently.
We are seriously considering to move to a conservative town in TN, please advise. We are hard working christian family tired of living in LA.
I'm a software developer from England, looking to move to Tennessee in the near future, with a girlfriend in Oak Ridge. Is that ideal and would there be a place for me?
Memphis is one of the highest crime cities in nation.
Great content thank you so much for sharing 👍👍👍
Wow
And on another video for worst places. Chattanooga and Memphis were on it. So which is good or bad to live ?
I live in London in uk, theres a check shop call Tennessee chicken..
💥♥️
Hi. How are you doing? Hope you are fine and staying safe?
Property taxes double in Nashville, Tennessee Thanks to Mayor Cooper.
Yes there is a lot of good here in Tennessee. A lot of bad. But we request that any democraps keep there politics that made their state bad away from here. So if you move here you better go along with us, because it is what made us great and why you moved here.
I love the Nashville area better than Pittsburgh
By whose criteria is Memphis the 3rd best place to live in the state? It's usually on the list of places to avoid in the vol state.
Mahal sanget
Entirely wrong and misleading! I know from experience!
Memphis Tennessee and Nashville Tennessee are high crime rate areas , I live in Cookeville Tennessee
