All of you are right lmao. They have a backing track, but they’re also signing live. Y’all cry for raw live vocals, but I promise y’all don’t really want it. Second gen kpop had quite a few 100% live vocal performances and the performances are a little hard to listen to. Even the best singers usually can’t sing flawlessly while doing tons of dancing.
Dance routines and backing tracks go hand-in-hand, although I do find it tacky if companies constantly have artists lip syncing for still ballads.

I really like the spanish influenced parts of Sonar like the chorus but its kind of a bummer when they switch back to the slow melody.
