This master class performance from the Phenomenal So Hyang, is even more impressive, given the fact she is NOT WELL here. Some time prior to this event, she was released from the hospital, still recovering from one of her numerous bouts with pneumonia (eight times between 2016 - 2020). Her physicians advised her to cancel her performance, to not talk, and to just rest. So Hyang did not want to disappoint the audience. Furthermore, she believed her singing career was over, and wanted to sing one last time. After the event, she was readmitted to the hospital. So Hyang disappeared from public singing for nearly two years. When she returned in 2020 and continuing in 2023, she not only looks absolutely beautiful, she sounds better than ever before. Her vocal range is still ridiculous, and her breath control remains insane. So Hyang's technique is rock solid.

She really is the queen of live performances. Yeah she is Amazing! Told not to sing because she wasn’t completely over Pneumonia, her Doctor said to talk as little as possible and keep voice low and not strain it! She knew people came to she her and maybe she could help them feel better, so she decided she would perform, though she thought it would be her last Performance! Thank God ,she was okay :-) Thank you too, for your wonderful reactions:-)
If I can offer a little bit of advice. You stop the video to comment too often and you are stopping in an awkward part of the performance. You must stop at a point in the performance where is is a natural break in the music or singing. You can't stop just wherever you please or impulsively. This is a matter of self-discipline and of learning about music and identifying where it will have these natural breaks, because every musical composition will have them (unless it is rap or hip hop or modern pop, all of which is unlistenable anyway). Sohyang is a singer who is almost always an emotional experience, as well, so I can understand a bit of impulsiveness because she really gets us going at a level we have a hard time understanding. Nonetheless, don't stop 5 or 10 times in a song because it will just make your reaction a really frustrating and irritating experience and people just won't come back.
Do u know this my third upload Yt blocked all.. I had to cut it up like this .. but yall know everything na.. I wish u would react to the song and not stop it and see if you can show it on youtube.. when u do come bck and show me how .. if not don't speak on things u don't know
@@favouriteislandgirl I have watched basically countless Sohyang reactions on TH-cam. So I do happen to know a little bit about it. Most reviewers can stop basically 3 maybe 4 times and there will be no blockages. The Korean copyright holders can be quite miserable about it sometimes though. Then you are stuck. But knowing where you can stop in a musical performance is invaluable. Pausing in the middle of a phrase or causing a musical passage to be disjointed is most definitely going to irritate people and cause them not to come back.
