I was starting to wonder how the evil dice worked as you moved on to different areas of the ship. I couldn't decide if it was cumulative and adding that many dice to the room (really ramping up the difficulty) or if it was just the "roll the highest amount". It all made sense when the last room was explained with the Vigilant Hunters and "adding an extra dice".

Yeah hope that made sense! Like many rules in this game, there is a decent amount of logic there - you roll evil dice equal to the most dangerous area you have entered up to that point!

Off topic have you ever played Space Cadets: Away Missions? It’s a thrilling pulp sci-fi board game that I think you’d like. I have an extra copy but you’re in England, aren’t you?

Hi. Enjoying this playthough. I hope you don't mind if I point out a few errors I noticed:
1) @12:50 You rolled a 6 on the evil dice which would have triggered the Vigilant Hunter's extra damage. You sacrificed a 1 to block one damage but you would have taken a second damage for the 6.
2) @14:13 You selected a movement upgrade from a different branch. Once you select an upgrade path on a branch, you lock out all the upgrades on the other branches. So this upgrade is no longer valid once you selected the diagonal movement at the beginning of the game.
3) @15:29 Not sure if you'll notice this later, but you forgot to give yourself a 3rd good die from your checkpoint on the previous turn.

Yeah, #3, I was seeing that as well for the missing bonus 3rd good die.

More curiosity than correction, but I was wondering if you should have gotten a third good die when you got the second checkpoint with the white symbol inside?

Yes indeed I should have, and that extra good die would have been handy 🙂
