Ray Kniga-Bartlett apparently in the comics their was one who did use a Lightsaber, but considering he never showed up in the movies Kylo probably killed him at some point.

These were my expectations for the final lightsaber duel in ep 9.

Yup the last lightsaber duel was in the middle of the movie and it was pretty bad.
There should be a like epic lightsaber battle, didnt need to be Palpatine, but someone. It ended more poor than original trilogy... Which was made in 70's...
The lightsaber fight in the middle of the film even then was bad. So slow and clunky, like two toddlers fighting. There was even a point where Kylo used a reverse hilt (holding his sword backwards) and Rey copies him for no reason. It’s so stupid, it is genuinely like watching two kids fighting with sticks pretending they’re lightsabers.
@@psycholonya And that was the final lightsaber duel in the whole saga, it had perfect setting, but the choreography was terrible, and the music... Well the music was good for a duel but not the final duel, given what this duel means and all.

This whole trilogy lacked big booming musical cues. The Prequels and OT had these huge riveting soundtracks and I can't remember how any of the music goes in the Sequels.

When you watch "the clone wars series" you can clearly see and understand that.

Imagine if this played when Ahsoka duels Maul in the Siege of Mandalore. I'd love to find out that Ahsoka vs. Maul happens consecutively with Anakin vs. Obi-Wan and Yoda vs. Sidious! Three huge duels which determined the fate of the galaxy all happening at once!!

I get the feeling it probably did happen, or close enough to the same time. Ironically the only one who succeeded in their duel against the Dark Side wielder was Obi-Wan. Yoda quickly realized that despite his immense power as a Grand Master, he was no match for Sidious. Ahsoka technically beat Maul but then Order 66 blew everything straight to hell as the Clone Army turned into the Imperial Army
Unfortunately that couldn’t happen. The clones didn’t turn on Ahsoka till after the ahsoka/maul fight meaning that the three fights physically couldn’t have happened at the same time because Anakin hadn’t turned yet.
Samuel Kim just straight up predicted the Kenobi trailer music 3 years early.
This playing while Kylo fights Rey meanwhile Luke's ghost fights Palpatine... then Anakin steps in...

You had me with this playing during a final duel between Rey and Ren, but bringing in Luke, Palps, and Anakin is lame and cheesy as hell. This trilogy isn't about them, which JJ should have better understood in 9.

When Return of the Jedi released, a few of us claimed it was non cannon for them, that it was bad. Then came the special editions and the prequels. Episode IX: The Galaxy of Missed Opportunities
I liked to believe it’s called battle of heroes because neither side was wrong both philosophies were majorly flawed. However Anakin sought out power and all means to bring peace even if that meant instilling fear in everyone. Obi Wan saw Anakin must be stopped by all costs, that his lust for power and destruction. From each others point of view they see evil and plot to destroy it by all means, Philosophically speaking of course. The Jedi weren’t prefect, they’d not only take children from families they would indoctrinate them into their cult. Where they failed, was in emotions, love and passion was forbidden. Cutting off these emotions, making them lack compassion for those who were severely being damaged in these wars. Even Qui Gon saw these flaws and is why he refused a seat on the council, so did Count Doku saw it but his approach was more hateful than compassionate. Qui Gon was mindful of his emotions but he didn’t completely cut himself off from it. Even Obi Wan admits having a brotherly love for Anakin, but bud than it was too late.. Anakin was consumed by darkness and hatred for the many things that the Jedi order failed on. It’s a tragic story between two brothers, while the OT is a story of hope and a son bringing his father into redemption.
Bro it would be better if all Sith at the throne stand up with red blades and tried to kill Rey and Ben but then. All the Force Ghost Jedi pop out and help them fight and then this song starts!!!! Awesome song.
That'd be bad. Star Wars shouldn't be treated like an action movie. Neither should the Jedi be shown as violent people.

@@alexdeghost2729 I mean, the Jedi were violent. They were hypocrites that spoke of "peacekeeping" yet they accepted a slave army to fight alongside them, no questions asked. To say they were peaceful... that's what they said, but not how they acted.

It's why Dooku left the Order because it no longer feels right
It's why Qui Gon Jinn did not accept as a Master in the Council and instead followed as The Force sees fit
That doesn't mean there aren't good Jedi though. Some Jedi cared for others. This development was seen throughout The Clone Wars show.

Just off the screening of the Rise of Skywalker. It was decent, but messy and a lot of rush. 7 out of 10, mostly satisfied by the movie. Palpatine is the best thing in this. And finally, we have NORMAL BATTLE LIKE IN THE PREQUELS.
