Tartu MTB Marathon 2022 - 89km Highlights with EN Commentary - 2022 09 18

- For those who are into cycling at least a bit - there is no need to introduce what #tartumarathon is - but for those who aren't - its the biggest MTB event in Baltics, and 3rd by size in a world (at least before the Covid). This year that resulted into 3700 participants among 3 distance groups (21/40/89).
A bit more about the numbers:
Race time: 02:59:27
Age group: 30/284
Overall 79/1700
It was a fast-paced challenge which I managed to accomplish - fitting under 3h timestamp in partially wet conditions was more than I could have expected. Good company on the course, a bit of struggle and things can sometimes turn in your favour too!

Only i dont understand why this race named as MTB Marathon ? 70% of all use gravel or trekking bikes .
Thats true, yet probably the main reason - it has long traditions being this way, happening for 2X years already - thus whats looked liked MTB two decades ago shifted a bit nowadays:) Anyways, its one of the biggest events in whole Europe, surprisingly - but it has its charm:)

Įdomi idėja! Esu važiavęs tą trasą for fun, bet ne MTB modifikaciją, o tiesiog taką, net neįveikėm per gerą pusdienį rekreaciniu tempu prieš porą metų :)
@@tom10crafted Su vienu stopu prie Veloccino pavyko iveikti per 7 valandas. Bet buvo nuoširdžiai pragaras. Metu tau iššuki! :D

hello, I`m rider with number 58 from Team Virsotne on Orbea Oiz (video 11:57) , I droped out from first group in 18 km and then joined to your group and in forest section with two estonians 168 KAASLA Kaspar, 73 SAAR Tõnis and lithuanian 174 KONDROTAS Simas, we managed to go away and hold the pace 40 km to finish, it is after the hill where is sign 40 km to finish. Thanks for interesting race highlights!
