He needs to articulate his positions better. Especially when asked about the origins of conservative hatred. I'm sure he's a very well-read on this issue but was nevertheless ineffective in communicating his position.
Consider reading the book Righteous Minds by Jonathan Haidt. Liberals are actually generally, on average, worse at understanding conservative thinking than the reverse. Haidt lays out the reasoning for this alongside his own idea of the origins of morals, what makes people prone to certain moral takes, etc. I'm a liberal, but I've always been baffled at how so many people have takes like VG and just completely cannot even begin to explain how certain conservative views can be rationalized beyond simply calling them inherently bigoted & evil.

As a more conservative person I love destiny’s content and love how he’s willing to have an open dialog with anyone. Even most conservative pundits aren’t willing to have a conversation and if they do it’s to try and have a gotcha moment.

To be fair, different people are going to be more receptive to different argument styles. Some people can only be motivated by your tone or energy. If it doesn't sound like you definitely believe the thing you're saying they're not going to pay attention. I'd so far to wager convincing the people Vegan Gains would convince with his argument style isn't worthwhile. Whatever side is the most extreme and whoever yells the loudest captures the audience a Vegan Gains would and they're never going to learn or better themselves to stay on the side of the most logical position for very long. I am a conservative and i certainly dont hate trans people. None of my conservative friends or family hate trans people. The rhetoric does get out of control sometimes and stuff like the matt walsh comment on joe rogan was frustrating, but this is an actual problem and we genuinly believe kids shoukd not have this ideology shoved down their throats. Also kids do get bottom surgery. By that i amean people under the age of 18. However it is extremely rare. The biggest concern there is that they are doing these surgeries on younger and younger people. Also lots of kids get puberty blockers and hormone therapy. There are serious side affects with these drugs and it is not something that we should just ignore.
Without Destinys way, I would still be trying to be a conservative. And I’m sure I’m not the only one I’m sure there are thousands of us that caught something destiny said, and saw the fact that he wanted to understand us that made us turn from conservatism.
I'm very religious and conservative, and recently started listening to Destiny. I disagree with him on a lot but I also appreciate that he understands where people like me are coming from and seems to always argue in good faith. It's so refreshing, I turned all that red pill shit off.

I can't stand when conservatives do the Bible bludgeoning over these issues. Imo to be the most conservative (which I consider myself) is to "live and let live." I think we should call someone whatever they want to be called and not care who they love so long as we don't make enforcement laws restricting individual liberty. I think most lefties hate conservatives more than most conservatives hate trans ppl. That is why I also have listened to destiny for a long time to get the left wing perspective without the hate from someone who understands the human aspect.
I think I'm generally pretty charitable to Destiny's "debate opponents," I even like Farha and Qorantos who aren't very popular. But man I legitimately hate hearing VeganGains talk. i've only started watch a lot of these channels and came accross Destiny in last few months. Honeslty I can't speak for what kind of a person he is, theres a lot of negative stuff out there, but can only speak for what I have seen. That is someone who is far more central, comes with sensible arguments, is able to explore conversations , factually against all spectrum of people with opposing views at either end. The world absolutely needs more people like this, we 100% need more people like this having a voice, rather then what we have now, which is extremists at either end, doubling down on their views and causing the divide we have today. We need people like Destiny going on FreshandFit and keeping them in check , the same as he might do at the other end.

I can resonate with Vegan Gain's Position. There are people who genuinely want to genocide a group of people and there are people who will lie to justify that irrational belief. Hating a group of people CAN have a "Rational" behind it and that can be based fear or misunderstanding of that position. I can understand a Parent being concerned about Trans Kids going through HRT and etc. but when you explain to these people the actual process of HRT and Gender Affirming Care and etc. They will change their positions and be more open minded about Trans kids. These types of parents based it on Good Intentions. However, when talking to people like Matt Walsh or Jordan Peterson, the discussion cannot be established because they will always resort to poisoning the well and inherently make arguments out of bad faith. It doesn't matter how much you bring in the Data, Statistics, etc. They will flat out deny factual evidence. That's where it boils down to them Genuinely Hating on Trans People and minorities, they do not have a strong and moral argument so they will resort to lying and denying reality. When you have people denying basic facts and reality, that's where common ground just does not exist in the discussion. Again, it's "reasonable" to hate a group of people based on Fear and Lack of Understanding. But it is unreasonable to HATE a group of people out of pure hatred to the point where they fantasize genocide. These people stop being a "Just a concern person", that's being pure evil. I get where Destiny is coming from, that he wants to approach that "maybe these people are (I assume) they are misunderstood" or "maybe if I understand them, I could perhaps find the root of the problem". Which is fine in it of itself, in fact it is a healthy discussion to make. I am a conservative and i certainly dont hate trans people. None of my conservative friends or family hate trans people. The rhetoric does get out of control sometimes and stuff like the matt walsh comment on joe rogan was frustrating, but this is an actual problem and we genuinly believe kids shoukd not have this ideology shoved down their throats.
Also kids do get bottom surgery. By that i amean people under the age of 18. However it is extremely rare. The biggest concern there is that they are doing these surgeries on younger and younger people. Also lots of kids get puberty blockers and hormone therapy. There are serious side affects with these drugs and it is not something that we should just ignore.
Without Destinys way, I would still be trying to be a conservative. And I’m sure I’m not the only one I’m sure there are thousands of us that caught something destiny said, and saw the fact that he wanted to understand us that made us turn from conservatism.
I'm very religious and conservative, and recently started listening to Destiny. I disagree with him on a lot but I also appreciate that he understands where people like me are coming from and seems to always argue in good faith. It's so refreshing, I turned all that red pill shit off.

I can't stand when conservatives do the Bible bludgeoning over these issues. Imo to be the most conservative (which I consider myself) is to "live and let live." I think we should call someone whatever they want to be called and not care who they love so long as we don't make enforcement laws restricting individual liberty.
I think most lefties hate conservatives more than most conservatives hate trans ppl. That is why I also have listened to destiny for a long time to get the left wing perspective without the hate from someone who understands the human aspect.
I think I'm generally pretty charitable to Destiny's "debate opponents," I even like Farha and Qorantos who aren't very popular. But man I legitimately hate hearing VeganGains talk. If I didn't know better I'd be convinced he's a troll who's just trying to come off as annoying as possible. Every single one of his mannerisms and the way he intellectually engages with other people is legitimately reprehensible. I feel sorry for other vegans, knowing that he is at least one face for their group.

i've only started watch a lot of these channels and came accross Destiny in last few months. Honeslty I can't speak for what kind of a person he is, theres a lot of negative stuff out there, but can only speak for what I have seen.
That is someone who is far more central, comes with sensible arguments, is able to explore conversations , factually against all spectrum of people with opposing views at either end. The world absolutely needs more people like this, we 100% need more people like this having a voice, rather then what we have now, which is extremists at either end, doubling down on their views and causing the divide we have today.
We need people like Destiny going on FreshandFit and keeping them in check , the same as he might do at the other end.

You’re on the money w this comment, and even seeing destiny’s good and worse takes, he’s always struck me as “really trying”. He really is trying to bring things together, and he makes good money doing it at the same time… something his detractors like to focus on.
He’s spent tons on a canvassing program, advocates for researching and withholding immediate judgments. He has his slipups, but he’s the closest I’ve ever seen to the level-headed/passionate shouting debater with great balance. His passionate debates another source of criticism from detractors.
Don’t get too addicted to watching vods though. It’s a rabbithole that I can’t pull myself out of lol.

I can resonate with Vegan Gain's Position. There are people who genuinely want to genocide a group of people and there are people who will lie to justify that irrational belief. Hating a group of people CAN have a "Rational" behind it and that can be based fear or misunderstanding of that position. I can understand a Parent being concerned about Trans Kids going through HRT and etc. but when you explain to these people the actual process of HRT and Gender Affirming Care and etc. They will change their positions and be more open minded about Trans kids. These types of parents based it on Good Intentions.
However, when talking to people like Matt Walsh or Jordan Peterson, the discussion cannot be established because they will always resort to poisoning the well and inherently make arguments out of bad faith. It doesn't matter how much you bring in the Data, Statistics, etc. They will flat out deny factual evidence. That's where it boils down to them Genuinely Hating on Trans People and minorities, they do not have a strong and moral argument so they will resort to lying and denying reality. When you have people denying basic facts and reality, that's where common ground just does not exist in the discussion.
Again, it's "reasonable" to hate a group of people based on Fear and Lack of Understanding. But it is unreasonable to HATE a group of people out of pure hatred to the point where they fantasize genocide. These people stop being a "Just a concern person", that's being pure evil.
I get where Destiny is coming from, that he wants to approach that "maybe these people are (I assume) they are misunderstood" or "maybe if I understand them, I could perhaps find the root of the problem". Which is fine in it of itself, in fact it is a healthy discussion to make. But at some point, no matter how many times you address the arguments or provide statistical data and evidence and will still resort into denying and making lies and excuses. At some point, these people are saying this stuff because they mean what they actually mean.
