Its one of the best nonlinear story telling movie in Telugu very few movies of this style, but people didn't quiet grasp this type of story telling in tfi and many films of this style failed of box office but when released in Ott they are considered as a masterpiece.
Telugu language was not the right choice for this movie to be made in. It was a niche film considering the taste of the 2 states audience, and it did reasonably well if you look at it with that point of view. A Hindi movie would've reached much wider audience with that subject.
I think y'all are new to Telugu cinema. We have had many movies since time memorial which were 'written' really well and they have been big hits. Vivek's writing wasn't good enough and poor planning in release. Even his second film Brochevarevaru ra had non-linear screenplay and it did great with the audience.

@@shubhamkewalramani9919 it was a very very niche film considering the taste of Hindi audience as well . Telugu audience are lot better than others in encouraging films in Theatres . Along with Ante , Major and Vikram were released, so the less collections .

Nani's filmography is really special, you can at least choose 2 to 3 favorite films from other stars but when it comes to nani's films you will end up choosing atleast 5-6 films. That shows how speacial nani's films are. Natural star for a reason. A new update for you guys Nani is working with this director again movie was also announced (title: saripoda sanivaram) releasing next year

1. Brochevarevaru ra from the same director - A laugh riot but also with a strong message!
2. Yevade Subramanyam - Possibly the best of Nani and quite underrated.
3. Bhale bhale Magadivoy - Absolutely hillarious
4. Awe - A thriller with amazing story telling and screenplay, it's produced by Nani and directed by Prashant Verma - you guys will definitely enjoy it!

Appreciate the unique screen play the director vivek athreya used in this movie as well as his previous one 'brochevarevarura'
One unique thing i noticed in this rom-com was that the guy and the girl never say 'i love you' to each other throughout the 3 hr long runtime.
There are lot of unconventional things in this love story which TFI audience is not used to . Hero not being a macho guy hitting everyone or being muscular, heroine being a girl next door rather than glamour doll. Their interactions , their idealogies everything is sensible. I wish more human beings become like that.

Nani's acting is unmatchable.
The thing about masala movies or dramedy films in India is that they tend to have some sections for their fans or mass public. That's why it feels slow for you, that section u'll find cultural jokes or comedy on language so the local audience can enjoy so sometimes people can't catch that and it feels slow for them u have to wait through that part it'll get interesting later. Most of the Indian movies have this formula
KNEW IT, KNEW IT😃 you BOTH fall in love with this MOVIE. Because of SCRIPT, TAKING (DIRECTION DEPARTMENT), and mainly ' MAIN LEAD' (ACTORS). We (INDIANS) FLATTERED for HOLLYWOOD movies for it's LANGUAGE, TECHNICALS, WAY OF TAKING and mostly😮 CG. Even though always BELIEVED that INDIAN FILMS are great in MAKING. HENCE PROVED 😉which is always APPRECIATED..

It is a very entertaining movie. I had a lot of laugh and chuckle moments from the movie. For a romantic movie it had a longer runtime, but i think it worth it. The longer first hour is the reason you feel nervous for both the characters because of which you can enjoy the movie. The first hour was for us to spend the time with the characters and have a emotional attachment to them. As an American Jaby and Kristen didn't want to see that because American movies didn't show that but they come straight to the story. Whatever we have to feel is by the acting of the actors.
I watched first time Nani in MCA and i didn't have a good impression of him in that movie. But after watching Jersey I felt that he has good quality to make the viewers emotional as an actor, in this movie he has done very well in portraying the frustration felt by the character. This was my first Nazriya movie, before i thought she is a decent enough actor but after watching the movie I think she is a very good actor unlike some commercial telugu movie actress.
Nice reaction 😊 This movie was among the best of 2022 IMO. By the way, did you know the lead actress is married to Fahadh Faasil? They met when they were shooting *Bangalore Days* , a very popular Malayalam coming of age story. It could be good for a reaction too, for Jaby & Kristen 🙂 Another good movie for you guys is *Bommarillu* a Telugu romcom/coming of age story that is considered a modern classic.

Guys Guys Guys, THE WHOLE TIME, Jaby and Kristen did not get the reason for two LIES in two families.
Let us tell them.
1. Sundar lies that he is infertile
2. Leela lies that she is pregnant
But both the families will never be told of the opposite family's lie.
REASON: Sundar's family would approve of a outside religion girl marrying since despite sundar being infertile, gaining Sympathy points and religion issue is solved. While Leela's family would approve of her marriage to Nani since they have no option since she is believed to be pregnant.
The whole SCREENPLAY runs confusing for Kristen (if it was Achara, no offense) since the families will never know they are two stories. They believe their version is right.
If you like Nani there is also another movie that you might like "Krishna Gadi Veera Prema Katha"
this is so good, love this!
The fluff you are talking about was important to the story and those events has to play exactly like that. You feel more jarring when they cut and you feel the scenes are made up or too fake to believe.
But yes, the length and time it took to reach the main line is long and you feel like having a sugar crash. Also, people were not attentive enough to pick the pace in last 45 minutes.
Truth is editing is precise but the screenplay left no option to the editor. He could've written differently to compress the movie but we don't know it would appeal.
