I'm Half Thai and i live in this beautiful country where i call home.. unfortunately there are so many orphans here :( because of thailand being a buddhist country, abortion in illegal and people who are not ready to be parents, give birth and leave their children on the streets or decide not to care about their children.. i spend most of my summers and school breaks at the local orphanage to play with the children and offer a helping hand
+Bambi Lerat Khob khun ka!! That means so much! One of our goals was to show Maleas story but also respect Thailand and its people. This is one of the most meaningful comments I have gotten. 💖💙
You cannot explain well how you feel when these tiny things (baby’s) holds onto you so trustingly and won’t let you go..the warmth and little pain you feel in your heart......it’s just the best!!!
We also just had our daughter 3 months ago! My heart is overwhelmed with joy watching your adoption videos. I remember how our Angela reacted when she was handed to me, she instantly smiled her sweetest smile and hugged me :) that moment changed my life forever :)
Beautiful! You can see the sense of security in her eyes and she knows that she's safe. She was meant to be yours when God formed her in her mother's womb; she us beautifully made from God's image just for the both of you. God bless you and your husband for having being passionate souls in the Kingdom.
I've just stumbled upon your channel and I've decided to watch your videos from the beginning. From just two I can see such a strong bond between you and your children, so wonderful to watch. Sending you all love and joy xx
Just clicked on your videos! I'm half Thai and before moving to Europe I lived in a small town near Bangkok till I was 5. Our house was just as simple as Maleahs orphanage. This brings me back and makes me cherish my childhood. It's heartwarming how you guys dealt with this adoption. I try to visit my family in Thailand every other year and when I see the countless children who live on the streets... my heart breaks and I really think about adoption. I really admire your strength and courage for going all the way and giving this precious girl a new home and family!
I've been thinking about adooting myself. And seeing how much people can love a child just warms my heart. She felt so comfortable with you guys so quickly. Bless you guys
I just come across your channel. And the amount of love that little girl has for you is unreal. I respect you guys so much by learning her culture and being able to show her all this she grows up ❤ you guys are amazing xx
Laura Tatum I was wondering if someone was going to address this. My immediate thought when I saw her face was she is ABSOLUTELY gorgeous! Just curious about her background
I just stumbled on this. It is so beautiful. Thank you for adopting these children and giving them a forever home. I can't help but shed a tear. Love from Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire.
I know lots of people criticize carrying your kids so long when theyre big enough to walk or atleast be in a buggy, but i adore the nurturing nature of carry them. Especially when they come from difficult foster homes or other circumstances ♥️
Omg! i am watching all those videos ans crying! its soo brave what u did! you guys are amazing ppl . I cant believe that this little girl could just stay in orphanage if it was not for you. You did great..she deserves all your love! I have one child and cannot have more and what u did just opened my eyes. loads of love to ur family❤
I cant believe the condition of the foster home and how they live. I know the U.S. is a very privileged country and im greatful she had a home at all. She is so sweet also and funny!!!
Love from Kenya 🇰🇪 I have watched most of your videos, thank you for sharing with us - it was nice to re-visit this one of you at Thailand 🇹🇭 to bring Malea home, absolutely very special moments very well documented. God bless you guys.
Hey Laura, hope you read this. So glad that there are people like you in this world. Especially with how dark it's becoming. You're lovely. If you can, please check out Kim and Lizzie's adoption story. People like you and Kim give me hope.
adoption is so beautiful thank you for saving them and loving them. they are adorable. this is what unconditional love is all about. new subscriber here.... just randomly saw a video of yours pop up in my recommended. ❤❤❤
you guys are amazing.. your videos and what you guys have been through brought me to tears.. Happy tears of course. best parents ever. 💕💕💕 may your family be blessed for life. keep up the great videos. 😊
She is just too beautiful... both of your children are! I have a non-adoption related question if you don't mind. I have never seen a large carrier like the one your husband was carrying your son in. This is my first time stumbling across your channel so if you don't mind me asking - how old and/or how much does your son weigh? I have a 3 1/2 year old (who is a bit small for his age) but we haven't worn him in a carrier since he was 1 or a little less (I don't know if he would even like it at this point and particularly wouldn't fall asleep like your sweet son haha. But yeah sorry for such a long nonsense comment/question! I was just curious how big your little boy is and possibly what the name of that carrier is for older children? Have a great weekend with your blessings :)
You can have custom designed pre-school carriers made, they are fantastic for occasions where your pre-schooler has tired legs and is overwhelmed. Wearing them in proper slings like they have is not difficult, their weight is evenly distributed so much better for parents back than carrying on shoulders or on hip would be! These slings are just so much more comfortable than the forward facing generic slings that are usually available in baby stores. Etsy would be the best place to find custom slings/ baby carriers.
Simply beautiful. Just found out I can't get pregnant, my thoughts on adoptions scares me thinking they will eventually leave me. Thank you for sharing your story. Can you please share the orphanage and cost? Do you know of any funding for adoption? Thank you again. Beautiful story.
I wish I was able to adopt. My husband and I have 3 girls but Idk I just want to give a child a home. I follow a page on Facebook of a Chinese orphanage and a couple years ago they posted a picture of a baby that just stole my heart. I honestly don't know if she was adopted, they haven't posted any recent pics of her. So I hope she found a loving home and I hope someday my husband and I will be able to adopt.
Dont hope you get offended bij this question, just came across this vlog. But is she a mix of black (afro american) an thai? So much love . Wishi g you and your famili love from Holland
Laura Tatum how long was the process and is there information on the cost of adoption? I would like to adopt one day (years down the line) but any info helps. ty
Gloria Wells I'm not sure but I know seatbelt laws and car seats aren't enforced in Asian countries. My dad's mother's family lives in Laos and I seen on their FB pages where kids sit in cars without seat belts and the back seats don't have seat belts only the front and sometimes the middle seat in the back. The babies are always carried in the mother's lap in the backseat.
+Michelle O our church is involved with Thailand and sending people there to teach about Jesus. We aren't called to love overseas to do that but we are called to adopt!
New subbie to your channel just beautiful what you are doing, is your first son adopted too or from a previous relationship not that it matters you both are wonderful parents. So glad I found your channel, was your baby girl put up for adoption due to her race? Don't answer that if you think it was rude or non of my business I mean no offence just curious, both the kids are so lovely btw really enjoyed watching your videos, I too would like to foster and adopt in the near future.
+cee green hey! We are actually putting up a video about our baby boy soon!!! Malea was put up for adoption because her mom was in a situation that she couldn't care for her. No offense taken!! You should definitely adopt one day!! There are millions of kids that need a home!
Wow- how amazing the opportunities that you are able to give her. How long has she been with you now is she improving? Just watching through from the beginning can already see improvements! I hope she has blessed you and your family and that you allow her to have all the opportunities you can! Beautiful family
Wasn't Jay too big for a back pack? I would think that he would be too heavy. It makes me think about when I was his age. I was born with Spina bifida, so I walked with crutches since I was two years old. Your arms get tired walking on crutches, so my grandma would carry me most of the time. When I was around ten or nine years old I got weighed in at the hospital. It said 72 lbs. Grandma said it looks like you're going to have to do some more walking to get your legs stronger. Because I'm not going g to carry you anymore. Lol

+Charlie D awwww thanks! We are lucky parents!
Those kids are so lucky to have such wonderful parents. Wishing you all the very best!!

to me they look just like brother and sister.
+Debbie Blincoe definitely! One time we were at a restaurant and someone asked if they were twins
Pretty cool
To me she looks African American not Thai - so special and precious!
+Debbie Blincoe well she's actually half Thai half Nigerian so most people think she half white half African American
Laura Tatum I was wondering if someone was going to address this. My immediate thought when I saw her face was she is ABSOLUTELY gorgeous! Just curious about her background
I'm Nigerian! That's awesome. i know you're amazing parents to her
That connection you two had from day 1 is beautiful.
I just stumbled on this. It is so beautiful. Thank you for adopting these children and giving them a forever home. I can't help but shed a tear. Love from Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire.
+Alex Mubiru thank you!!!
That is so sweet the big she got to see her foster family again and I hope you always remember this and you show her the viz videos later in life
I couldn't possibly comment on all your videos as they either leave me speechless with joy or speechless with emotion.
aww thank you!!!
I know lots of people criticize carrying your kids so long when theyre big enough to walk or atleast be in a buggy, but i adore the nurturing nature of carry them. Especially when they come from difficult foster homes or other circumstances ♥️
What an absolutely beautiful thing you both have done.....to give these two precious children a loving home!

The kids are absolute ANGELS. God's gift.

Libby I know this question is old but I figured I would answer incase anyone later was wondering the same thing but it’s a LilleBaby carrier 👍🏻

I bet this was hard on Jay. Imagine how we would feel if our family went away and brought home a new mom or dad.
Would love to see update
💟I notice that the lady has her seat 💺 belt on but the little girl and boy does not have one on! Why is that!!

Ciao sonobellituttidue bambini sono tutti belli e carini anche la sua famiglia e bella carina come i bambini ciao tutti
Why did you choose to adopt from Thailand? Just curious! :)
+Michelle O our church is involved with Thailand and sending people there to teach about Jesus. We aren't called to love overseas to do that but we are called to adopt!

♥️
I dont understand. Was that her family? that you adopted her from? Why were they not sad ?
+Bethan Hearne that was her foster family. She had lived with 3 families before us because they move around quite a bit there 😢
Wow- how amazing the opportunities that you are able to give her. How long has she been with you now is she improving? Just watching through from the beginning can already see improvements! I hope she has blessed you and your family and that you allow her to have all the opportunities you can! Beautiful family
