  • Following surgery for Hirschsprung disease, children are monitored for, among other things, proper bowel function. In many cases, procedures are performed in order to encourage regularity. Dr. Andrea Bischoff is the Assistant Director of the International Center for Colorectal and Urogenital Care at Children’s Hospital Colorado. In this video, Dr. Bischoff explains how the multidisciplinary team at Children’s Colorado works with children after their surgery to ensure proper bowel function - regardless of where the surgery was performed.
