Ur right it steers with differential thrust..

That One Random Guy pretty simple. When you get the motors working at high speed, it tends to go up, and when you get them working at lower speeds, it gets down. To make turns, one motor works at a higher rpm than the other.

Differential thrust sucks. It's better to have aileron and elevator control.
