welp, since you know very little about shinobu lemme info dump on her (big big text ahead, when im giving spoilers ill warn beforehand) Shinobu is a Hashira, she is 18yo, she is only 1,51 meters tall, and her body is weak, she cant behead demons, but she is very smart, so she developed poison using wisteria, this poison is put in her sword so that even a small injury from it can kill a demon, she also injects herself with small quantities of this poison everyday, in the hope that, if she gets eaten by a demon, it will die after killing her, girls so smart she comes back from death to kill her killer, jokes aside, she actually had an older sister, Kanae, she was the flower hashira, and Kanae was a very kind soul, she wished that demons didnt have to be killed, she wanted peace, but upper moon 2 ended up killing her, because the sun came up, he didnt have time to eat her, and Shinobu got to talk to her on her final moments, on that moment, Kanae told her to smile more, since she loved Shinobu's smile, and since then Shinobu wears a fake ass smile and adopts her sisters idea of wanting peace and not having to kill the demons, thats actually a facade, she hates demons with every inch of her body (which isnt alot lol). Funfacts: She is scared of any fluffy animal, because of her fear, she keeps goldfishes as pets, she isnt like phobic about them, more like dazai, "ew dogs", She is a doctor and she and her adopted girls, the butterfly sisters (they are called butterfly sisters cause they all wear butterfly hairpins and live on the butterfly mansion) are trained to take care of the core people for a long period when they get hurt, like if they get into a comma or need to rest because of a broken arm, her mansion became basically the cores hospital. She wears her late sisters (Kanae) Haori, it has a butterfly pattern, and after her sisters death she wears it as her Hashira uniform as a form to honor her This girl is the most revengeful person I know, since her sister's death she has begun planning on how to kill Upper Moon 2, the demon that killed her sister, and even asked some trustworthy people to help her with her plan when the chance arives, one of these people is Kanao, which is a girl she and Kanae adopted, she treats Kanao as her little sister, and loves her deeply. Actually, the only time in the whole ass series we see her actual truthful smile, is when Kanao tells her she wished they could train together. Another thing i got to mention, is that her parents had died when she was young, and she and her sister began to train under the demon slayer core, there they got trained by Gyomei Himejima, the Stone Hashira, he sees them as his children, again, this man is just a walking father figure, but its worth mentioning that Kanae and Shinobu also did/do consider him a father figure in some way (its a cute headcanon but never confirmed this father/daughters bond to be true). Gyomei is also another person she trusted with her plan. Shinobu's fake personality is simply a facade of what she thinks her sister would want her to act like, she is actually mad all the time, she holds anger, she wants to torture demons, so she does with the facade of doing it for a good reason, now, with the other hashira, Shinobu is very wise, and the other Hashira see her as a trustworthy and calm person as she is also their doctor. She may be small, but she is, without a doubt, the smartest hashira, she is also one of the only hashiras who has a good vision (lol), the hashira she spends her time with the most is surprisingly Giyuu, she likes being near him and tries to make him more sociable, (by annoying and teasing him whenever she gets the chance to, poor guy), she is very respected withing the core and considered scary by many, now, lets go to what happened at infinity castle. (INFINITY CASTLE SPOILERS AHEAD!!!!!!!!!) (SPOILEEERRRSSSS) btw, Upper Moon 2 name is Douma. At the end of hashira training as everyone knows, all the Demon slayer core fell into the infinite castle. Shinobu ended up finding Upper Moon 2, the demon she always wanted to kill, they have a very cool fight, where Douma is basically just playing with her, Douma slashes her in the chest, cutting throught her lungs, on the ground, agonizing, she had a vision of Kanae, in front of her, Kanae has an angry face and orders her to get up, she says she cant breathe, and Kanae says, "That doesnt matter. Stand up. Once you decided to win, then win!". After hearing this Shinobu gets up and attacks Douma again, the scene gets cut and we see it again on Kanao's point of view, Kanao ended up finding Douma, she gets her sword out, and then Douma turns to her, half of Shinobu's still alive body, being absorbed by him, he uses his BDA to quickly attack Kanao, but Shinobu does a hand sign that warns Kanao of it beforehand, Kanao manages to dodge, Inosuke arrives, he sees Shinobu as a mother figure, and is devastated when he sees what happened, after losing his third mother, him and Kanao unite forces to not make her plan fail, Kanao explains to us and Inosuke what actually is her plan, she injects herself with poison to kill Upper Moon 2, her plan when fighting him was always for her to die as a way to weaken him, and she trusted all the hashira (-Giyuu) with this plan so that when the chance arrived she would sacrifice herself for the Upper 2 to die (I lied b4, she injects herself with poison solely to kill Upper 2). Well, she sacrificed herself, and thankfully she had told her plan to Kanao beforehand, so, after learning this, Kanao and Inosuke fight with Douma to death, after having absorbed so much poison, his attacks and his regeneration speed gets slower. Meanwhile the crows warn all the others of Shinobu's death, she was the first Hashira to die that day. Giyuu started crying, his estoic and serious face, for once, broke, and he cried knowing he couldnt protect her, he was the only hashira who didnt know about her plan, not because Shinobu didnt trust him, but because she knew that if she told him, he would convince her not to do it. (Her death actually led him to managing to develop his slayer mark and killing the demon he was fighting but this isnt important rn) Well yada yada, fight between Inosuke, Kanao and Douma, Douma realized he could no longer regenerate when his face started to MELT after one of Inosuke's attack, at that moment he realized he had been poisoned, and we got to see sassy Shinobu on the afterlife holding his head on her hand, (EPIC SCENE BTW) we get to see them talking to eachother on the afterlife now, where Shinobu tells him to go to hell, and he tells her hell isnt real (a thing on his traumatic past lol), he is very euphoric in this scene, he is emotionless since the beggining of ever, and for the first time, on the afterlife, he has started to have feelings, he says he is inlove with Shinobu and asks her to go to hell with him, which she doesnt even reply she just very angrily tosses his head away and leaves towards heaven. (BTW heaven and hell are canon in this series if u didnt know b4)

Tips for shinobu if you need! I love her sm she’s my favourite: Her older sister died, and she takes on her sisters personality, as her sister always told her she loved her smile and Shinobu feels Kanae was the better sister, with things she was not: forgiveness, patience, elegance and being tall. Shinobu is insecure about being short and small and especially since it makes her unable to decapitate demons. She is always constantly angry and vengeful. She loathes demons: of course her sister always wished to befriend demons so as she had once told Tanjiro, that is her wish aswell. However she hates demons, (slight spoiler) for killing her parents and her sister, and killing all her tsugukos except kanao, her adopted younger sister. Shinobu uses wisteria based posion to kill demons and refills it and changes the mixture through her sword sheath in cases certain positions don’t work as well on certain demons. She’s very nimble smart and perceptive Major spoilers for final arc: Shinobus plan to kill the upper rank demon who killed her sister: she knows the appearance of the upper rank who killed her sister because kanae told her before she died. Shinobu knows she’s not strong enough to awaken the curse mark and that her poisons aren’t dense enough to take down and upper rank (especially since douma has resistance and recovers fast) so for about a year she slowly injected about 75kg of posion into her body so when she did die and Douma (upper rank two the one who killed kanae) eats her he eats all the poison and it flows through his body as he fight kanao and inosuke, making them able to decapitiate him, as the dose of poison in him would be many times the lethal amount that no demon even upper rank could handle. Inosuke saw her as a mother figure Kanao cried, which is jmportant because she couldn’t cry for kanae when she died and felt guilty for it Another thing: douma sliced shinobus lungs however, by sheer willpower shinobu stood up and fought douma, managing to pin him to the roof with a final strike before she died and douma absorbed her, then kanao and inosuke come in and fight him Extra: douma doesn’t feel emotions and feels sad for those who believe in the after life and even leads a cult and uses fake emotions as he then eats them. In his fights he was partially toying with shinobu and kanao for ‘entertainment/fun’ however once he dies he realizes the afterlife does indeed exist, and doesn’t care he’s dead and falls “Inlove” with shinobu, who of course told him to F off She gives off a slightly unnerving vibe when she hides her true emotions (literally most times unless she’s too angry. A cool aspect would be to make her kinda annoyed if anyone points out her height, Dazai would notice her facade and shinobu would notice Dazais fake ish act aswell, not that either would say anything)
