The first point is precisely why I love the game and it surprises me that not many people talk about it. Characters in ZZZ feel like real people, with flaws and problems to overcome. The dialogue writing is the best I saw in any gacha game.
THIS. the more "absolutely flawless and perfect" they make a character, honestly makes them less attractive funnily enough. like for genshin, that's why furina is popular, that's why wanderer is popular. they have flaws or problems that we could perhaps relate or sympathize with. glad that zzz recognizes this.
@@alexescorza8120I would just attribute that to terrible localization in EN. Honestly a wtf moment that had no reason to happen imo. I listen to JP dub and there are slight deviations here and there, but that was the only instance I've really seen of terrible localization choice.
ZZZ is the first time I'm actually excited to boot up a gacha game everytime, instead of it feeling like a chore. And it's the first time I'm actually invested in the story and the characters in a Hoyo game. ZZZ my beloved
Yeah the ZZZ community is super chill (thirsty... but chill). The cozy feel translates from the game to the players and I'm having a great time gaming.
Fr, it's so nice, and I like how you put that about the cozy feeling, it's true... it's vibe is so chill and fun. Whenever I play the game, instantly at ease, and the environment, characters, and music just all works together perfectly to bring those vibes.
@@Kspice9000so gacha games aren't your thing, you just like other types of games, and that's perfectly okay. The most important thing when playing games is having fun, and if ZZZ doesn't give you that fun, you shouldn't play it, you shouldn't play ANY game that you don't have fun playing. I hope you find that one game that gives you hours of fun, or even multiple ones. Have a nice day, stranger.
@@Kspice9000 Their price point is nothing. Games completely free. Paying for the luxury of additional premium currency is not required at all to be able to enjoy the game.
What I love about the skip cutscene option is how the game gives you a SUMMARY of the scene before you skip! Some characters I just do not care about when it comes to their personal missions but it was nice not feeling completely blank
The all-around attention to detail & polish in ZZZ is something you rarely see these days, even in AAA games. Unfortunately, people nowadays are used to slop so they don't appreciate this. The higher-up devs & producers of ZZZ are very young compared to the average age of devs in the industry. I feel like Hoyo & especially Da Wei & his cooperatives took a gamble by putting together a small team of younger content creators (The producers of ZZZ are former billi-billi CCs) and let them cook, since Da Wei and his team were also still quite young when they started out developing games. I highly recommend reading a few of the dev interviews of Zhenyu Li, the games lead-producer. I might come across as a shill but I genuinely haven't enjoyed a game as much as ZZZ since Nier Automata released
One thing I really like about zzz (which is my favourite gacha rn) is how it handles drive discs: -3 out of 6 discs have fixed mainstats -no high/low rolls on substats with less useless substats -very low stats requirements -good crafting system -not to specialized sets -the fact that I can use a support set with double crit on characters like Qingyi and Lucy and still being able to clear endgame with them as dps
Also, how easy it is to craft it. Especially with the new tier up crafting for the drive disk material is amazing. You can get 100-150 A-rank mats a week, that's 10 S-rank craftables. The other hoyo games made it so rare it's not really worth it, but with ZZZ, it's so easy to get that routine cleanup became not so worth it.
@@Cap_6278 less tourists joining > better community. I kinda like the game existing in their own little niche without getting too big for their own good
I can't stress this enough. The disc is a huge breath of relief compared to HSR. It's so forgiving and easier to get the substat you want. Even the main stat is really easy to get with a little bit of RNG. Not to mention you can mix and match 2 pc 2 pc 2 pc and still can make it somewhat working if you don't have better 4 pc yet
@@bruh10246agreed That along with how disk are rather ez to come by when your leveled up and just stockpiling. I blew all mine 3 days ago and am already at 75. I mean hell you 42 purple disks just for knocking out your freebie weekly hunts.
i saw zzz announcement a couple years back and thought probably this isn't for me. forgot about it until videos about closed beta popping out on yt but i didn't watch any of them. randomly decided to try it on launch day without knowing much and ABSOLUTELY love everything about it (yes, even the TV mode. we do exist out there) definitely my best gaming experience of this year.
I seriously found a hidden gem by subscribing, because seriously this amount of discussion over a game I love it a little nerdy but it's so nice. I don't have a lot of people around me who are into these types of games, so it's nice to have someone who sees the way I do.
My general rule is no voice no read. Basically if it's not voiced, I skip the dialogue. It's surprisingly works pretty well so far, sure the details are missing at times, but I never got completely derailed from the story. Hell, this even works for HSR, I just put it on auto and listen to them while I read a manga or somethin
Man you literally describe everything I feel towards ZZZ. I love the vibe, the music, the animation, even the characters are so relatable which make them so easily lovable~ Go ZZZ!~
It's such a good game. half the time I'm just having a good time watching my characters moving around and admiring their moveset. My recent favorite is how Rina is inspired by ghosts and her ultimate has her take the form of an electric ghost when you start it
I agree with much of what was said in the video and I can add more. There is something I noticed after a while. NPCs have a "life" in the world. Their dialogue, activities, locations and relationships change as you complete quests in the city. Of course there are some "nah, skip", but others started to amuse me when I noticed these changes.
ZZZ has been my first Gacha experience. Im a little sad to hear that the other games aren't as good but my wallet and free time are glad to hear that. ZZZ really deserves the praise. They know what they are doing every step of the way with every decision and not only is the game in the most beautiful animated art style i've ever seen i really can't get over how loveable the characters are. Just got Lighter the other day and i'm speeding through his story and this 'cool guy' has so much more going on and he feels so genuine in everything that he says. When inviting him to work at the store for you i was never expecting him to give me a line in UWU speak. It really made him feel like a friend havin a laugh with me in real life and it didn't take away anything from his character at all. I continue to be interested in the world story as well and find myself trying to come up with theories of why there are hollows on the moon, or what if Nineveah is the siblings old teacher since she was likely to be at the epicenter of the disaster? Beautiful Beautiful game.
ZZZ's aesthetic is the biggest reason I'm playing it. I'm kinda still in a 'waiting period' with it.... Waiting for a character I love, waiting for coop, waiting for a game mode I enjoy.... But I feel like all that stuff is just a matter of time. Theres not a lot in the game for me yet, but I still feel like the word "Yet" is applicable. I don't have that pessimistic sting of "This game isn't for me".... I'm just really interested in seeing what this game becomes.
great video! keep up the good work bro. you really summed up a lot of what i really love about ZZZ. and exactly it on the characters; they hooked me immediately, they all have so much depth and feel like real people.
I agree with your point about them really letting you get to learn about the characters so that you are more likely to pull them. ZZZ’s devs do a great job making the story quests engaging to the point where I don’t ever want to skip the cutscenes because I’m genuinely interested. Like I didn’t think I would like Grace, but after finishing her story in the archive I was in love with her!
so glad someone saw the parallels between zzz and persona. like GODDAMN it's so persona coded. i initially tried to ignore it but it's so prevalent, but i aint complaining. might be because i kept telling them about persona in their genshin surveys lmao.
... you may not believe it but I started playing Persona 5 for the first time today (picked it up in the Steam sale) for exactly that reason! ... Also I liked the combat of HSR but the story did not click with me.
So I don't play ZZZ (I already have 4 gachas) BUT I watch friends play through the stories and I watch all the character EPs. I agree that ZZZ has some of the more interesting characters I've seen in gacha- both in design and in writing. Hell, as someone who plays Genshin, I WISH it handled its characters like ZZZ does. One thing that ZZZ gets right is that it's not afraid to show the characters having strong relationships with one another. Each group has their own purpose and endearing dynamics! It helps that Belle and Wise are actual characters. So even they have fun interactions. This is just a personal thing, but after playing Genshin for years, I am so tired of gachas where characters just keep glazing the MC/Player. I want actual stort/content and ZZZ provides that, surprisingly.
I love everything about this game dude. The characters aren't perfect and have fleshed out personalities. They're each unique and enjoyable in their own awesome way. The environment and art style are so nice, like you said, the vibe it gives off is very comforting. It's like a chill street kid vibe. idk how to put it, but it's cozy. Also, the MUSIC is so good, instant vibes when any track comes on, I find myself listening to it outside the game itself lol. The devs and community make it so much easier to love this game too. Count me a new subscriber, too, your 724th!
I don't really play ZZZ because its not for me but the Developers are putting so much effort in terms of Physics & Animations. I hope this level of effort will be implemented for Genshin Impact 2 because the Engine Limitations are showing for the current version. And I agree the ZZZ Community is pretty chill, I hope to see more positive content like this on my Timeline.
I mean I've been strictly staying away from gacha games for years because I don't stand by microtransaction monetization, but with ZZZ, simply the talent and attention to detail of the developers made it impossible for me to pass it up any longer. although I still strongly dislike the FOMO based monetization, the crazy fact that you can dump $100 and get NOTHING, and so on, that doesn't mean that I am not appreciating the amazing art, design, and gameplay implementation.
@SmackSanRB Came for Burnice and I burnt the game with 160+ pulls, losing 50:50, getting her on soft pity, then even got her W-Engine! Now I got Yanagi, no W-Engine sadly though, luck was too harsh on me even after grinding like shit...
What I love about Zzz is how you can be totally chill playing it and don't need the feel to hurry. I love combat and story driven games but I really don't have the time because of irl duties. So being able to do everything I needed to do in the game in a short amount of time is a big plus for me. I especially love the TV/Grid navigation because that's one problem I have with open world games that I like but ended up dropping. Even inside games I get lost A LOT and I really don't have the time to be roaming around so much. Having that TV/Grid. Navigation lets me see if I ever missed anything. So I really hope they don't remove that altogether. The characters are fun to interact with and have great background stories. They're not that hard to build too. I really don't mind about the "physics" I'm not that fond of them, but I don't mind that they're there. I mean, be real, if you have large honkers like that, of course they would shake. 😂 If you looked past that you'd see how well though out their characters really are. I was the same as you when hating Ellen and Lycaon because she's a sharkmaid and a wolf butler. That's hella generic 😂 but they ended up being one of my favorites. I wish this game would continue to be this good if not better in the future. I forgot to add. : THE MUSIC FUCKING SLAPS.
i always enjoyed stories in games, and man the amount of cutscenes and depth to the characters are smth im rlly in love with, i found my self jumping around because of the story mode and some agent stories mutiple times, i honestly dont even know how to express how much im loving this game
Appreciate that your content doesn’t just glaze the game, but also point out its flaws, cause ZZZ is not a perfect game at all, but god damn I love it. The atmosphere is so nice that every time you immerse yourself in the game you’re just chilling along with the music in the background, and the characters are so lovable. I did not expect to like Yanagi, but she’s just so funny and sweet in her character story that I just have to have her. It’s just a shame sometimes that people dismiss this game because of the promo though I do admit it is pervy but they’re really missing out on a really solid game with a very passionate dev team. The heart of this game is basically what made me fell in love with it!
These people are those same fuckers playing NIKKE and calling ZZZ a 'gooner' game... Sex is the first art every living organism developed, they simply try to cover their shut stained asses by showing how no-horny they are, bruh, jokes on them
Super great vid. Keep up the great work, man. ZZZ at 1.0ver failed to hook me, mainly due to how much TV was in the early chapters. I wasn't there for 1.1, but 1.2 story with Sons of Calydon drastically improved my opinion on the game. Everything you mentioned here, I feel it, too. One thing I like the most is that the game can give you the best experience in combat even if you're a newbie (with the swap assists). Even with all the satisfying parries, you still can get Game Over if you're careless, and that's cool to me. A great balance of difficulty. And also as a Wuthering Waves player (UL77), I heavily agree that the community is super immature. It pisses me off when I see a video about WW that has a clickbaity thumbnail, and always brings down other gacha game for no reason. I don't understand why they can't just enjoy the game on it's own. That said, I'm glad you found your place in ZZZ, and I hope you make it big in the ZZZ community.
That’s exactly why this one sticks with me, played the others but none has this persona feel while being it’s own thing, with its chill vibes and blasts of colour and depth to so much of it, when new characters come around they are not mindless tits and ass I mean they have and did that well but the depth of who each character is is amazing, I love the story I wanna know what happens next, and being a persona nerd to you nailed the way this game is perfectly and that combat with its flair and onion layers of drip and or planning for optimal play and learning it is a blast, I was a button masher too till I heard a lot of inspiration came from fighting games too and like those games the combat is more then what you see and I love it, won’t hate on anyone for missing it but will point it out to see what people can really do:) Also can’t wait for 1.4 LETA GOO!!!
2:00 I wholeheartedly agree. I'm not playing a visual novel where I should sit through and listen to the story(because there's nothing more to it in a visual novel). I can never understand people trying to gaslight a feature just because they don't want to use it.
I play 2 gachas without interacting with the gacha much because both of them just are that good. One is ZZZ, the other is Battle Cats. I see very little like them However Battle Cats takes a big edge as it included the gacha system so well into the game while being so easy to grind that you literally would loose currency by buying stuff instead of just grinding it
There is this Je ne sais quoi about ZZZ that make me choose it as my main gacha (it used to be Genshin). Hopefully you get your 1000 sub soon brother, only 11 more!
It feels so good to just login and do dailies and build teams again for 20-30 mins and at most 1 hour. Genshin will take out half my day and it takes 3 months to make a legitimate team as a f2p and while it took me a week and half to make a legitimate team and get past hard content, but compared to genshin, zzz i have to try. Genshin you really need to prioritize all time needed to be ahead of the curb, while ZZZ, you clock in and clock out. ZZZ hard difficulty will make you think of your rotations and time your dodges properly and when to perfect parry/evade and making big numbers, while genshin its all about only how do i see big numbers. genshin is not a bad game, its just a slow burn for me. the pet peeve i have with zzz however, where are the a rank characters and having only 2 ether characters, but thats minor.
Lmao you saying you didn't like Lycaon made me laugh because he was the reason I started playing ZZZ 😂 The Wolf Thiren was everything I wanted in a character. No joke that I had to like reroll multiple accounts and region servers just to get this man. It kinda made me drop ZZZ for a while until I saw Lighter's drip market. Tbh I actually like the game is advertised for "gooners" because it keeps people away thus making a more chill community. ZZZ is pretty much a niche and I honestly want it to stay that way just to avoid anymore BS from people. It's so funny to me tho that people say ZZZ is for gooners as if other gacha games aren't as rouchier or even worse than what ZZZ are cooking. ZZZ is really a feel good game with an amazing atmosphere, animation, music, story, and I deeply appreciate how much they emphasize on making different characters that have actual personalities. The other thing about ZZZ is that you don't feel the need to do endgame either and you can actually clear them even without meta characters, just learning how to do proper synergy, rotations, and combos will get you by without issues. And doing all those feels so smooth too. And if you do endgame, they have different difficulties that players can do at their own pace. I very much appreciate ZZZ for keeping the fanservice stuff in the overworld and their agent stories. Unlike another game that is focused on waifus and going down the harem route to the point that the main story is suffering... But that's besides the point. I'm glad I came back to ZZZ and it will continue to be my side game (as HSR is my main game) and I wouldn't have it any other way. Just hope they release more husbandos and a male who has perfect synergy with Lighter and Lycaon so I can use them as my main team without loosing all the buffs
von lycaon is pronounced "like an", its basically another word for werewolf. its good to hear people praise ZZZ for what its core identity is. they took dmc, monster hunter, and persona and blent it all together amazingly.
Lowkey Everything you said in this vid I agreed with, for my first Hoyoverse game it's ever spot for me fun gameplay, cool character and the OST!!! don't get me Started on OST. I can't wait to see how this game evolves overtime tho but how things are going rn am here to stay.
What I love about ZZZ is how respectful it is to my time lol the dailies can legit be done in under a minute and you can stack energy super easy since they don't force you to spend energy 🙏 they actually give you more lol
I joined the game having never played a gacha game before out of lack of interest, because from the first moment I laid eyes on one of the story cutscenes, I knew that it was something with a lot of life and love put into it. I made the leap to start playing a week before the end of Ellen's banner, and ive been hooked since and I do not regret a single day of it. There is so much pomp, life and detail in this game that I love analyzing and immersing myself in, that I've never really seen in other action games. That said, the parallels made between this and Persona lead me to believe I may have to pick that game up sometime soon as well.
Some random cutscene in chapter 3 during CBT got me interested, and I really didn't know that it was made by hoyo by the quality, and looking a bit deeper it has more to this game, I love it.
The reason why ZZZ is my favorite gacha atm is because they focus on the combat. Lots of end game content, and combat related events. On top of its amazing aesthetic/animations, pristine polish, and constant QoL (dailies should be easy, not a chore), ZZZ is just too much fun. I hope HSR implements a lot of changes for 3.0, cause I'm getting tired of the yap fest stories, and the little amount of actual combat related events (endgame is every 2 weeks, clear almost instantly).
I have a lot of issues with ZZZ but it is the first gacha game I ever invested money and a lot of time into. I don’t think it’s the best gacha game currently available but it is alongside WuWa as a favorite of mine. I love the characters and the gameplay is very fun. (Lighter is literally me)
Personally, I think I had a much more difficult ZZZ experience since Anby is still my only Stun character, given how important Daze is; but Jane Doe and Caesar King really picked up the slack
I just want to second the feedback portion of the video. There isn't much for me to complain about, but its reassuring to know that the devs are so receptive to the community. Theres already been so many QOL changes even though its only been a few months.
Glad to see some positive video about wibes and shit, instead of pure meta perspective view about the game! Btw whats the diff between communities that you mentioned? just curious, couz zzz is my first gacha game and even in my segment(russia), most people are pretty chill and even in disputes they come to mutual understanding.
Considering that the characters are supposed to be the big draw of gacha games (are there any that don't use characters for the main gacha?) I'm surprised that more games don't do what ZZZ does. How hard is it to just randomly have your characters hanging around for the player to bump into? You've already got the models, so any time you see an NPC in one of these games it could be one of the main characters there instead, especially if it's for an unvoiced segment (or even just do what Persona does and have short generic voice clips for a few emotions/reactions that are reused when a character is saying something.) I love how in ZZZ the characters actually feel like part of the world. And that's not even counting the friendship stuff where you can call the characters and hang out with them. ZZZ's older sibling Genshin Impact has a world that can feel surprisingly empty at times. Sure, that's an issue with open world games in general, and I think ZZZ benefits tremendously from using smaller instances instead of an open world, but in Genshin you will never see one of the playable characters in the world outside of a quest or a limited event. Wuthering Waves has the same issue. If you randomly saw Zhongli drinking tea while listening to a storyteller, or Shorekeeper tending the flowers at the Black Shores, it would do so much to make these characters actually feel like part of the world.
Man that first point about not like Lycaon and Ellen but immediately loving them encounering the story quest is crazy cause i started to play because of Ellen Joe and then ended up loving the whole Victoria Housekeeping faction. Though i do agree with the video ZZZ is very awesome and i have been playing everyday grom launch and love how chill and unique it is along with it being modern. I am a fan of urban themes snd love the linear gameplay and not a boring ass huge open world like Genshin Impact. I love Genshin but o stopped playing to give ZZZ my full attention.
Your opinion on lycaon and ellen was the same opinion that I had about zhu yuan, the drip marketing and her design made me hate her before her launch, but her gameplay and her story made me want to have her in my account
I’m loving your content and the vibes. I can relate as well to the Persona takes I love P5 and ZZZ is cooking. I’m ITCHING for that 1.4 live stream hoping for big news man 🙌🏾🙌🏾
why i love zzz simply because, i am at the stage, im too tired to explore, the game is fast pace and cheap which i really like. SO BASICALLY, i can still touch grass while play this game.
ZZZ player here. Yeah, the game really positively surprised me. Its quality - compared to most Western games - is tip-top. The devs also positively shocked me; being open to feedback, suggestions, and not pushing crap that has no place in video games. I gotta ask: Why did you initially dislike Lycaon and Ellen? Just curious, I'm not judging. And, as I would tell the devs when they put surveys out, I'd suggest you something as well - you said you skip all those dialogues and all. Play the game however you wish, but if you want to fully immerse into it, please don't skip them. You never know what you can miss. Regarding that, here is one example (just to check): At the end of Chapter 4, Belle and Wise reveal their motive for becoming Proxies. What is it?
ZZZ overall experience is genius in design Genshin insired a lot of open world gacha to be made and those suck alot of your time to do world.exploration ZZZ design to take as little of your time as possible for daily stuff so you can jam it in the middle of 5-6 other gacha game you have and still clear every event
The WuWa community shade was so real. I used to play that game too but to me having a community to interact with is what keeps me playing and Wuwa just have some of the most obnoxious people in their community, especially that streamer (Rexlent) I did not want to be a part of that. I literally dropped the game.
Seriously, I really like ZZZ because it gives me the Persona vibes, with trust events, hanging out together. This game makes me want to pull for all the characters, and I think I'll skip the W engine so I can save for more characters And also, for me the dialogue and voice acting (English one) feels more casual and funny, compared to HSR or WuWa which I feel more stiff and formal-like. Heck, ZZZ even have bleeped swearing during the opening cutscene. Their cartoonish (?) style animated cutscenes also really fits well with the dialogue style.
At First I thought this game had some traversal like spiderman lol It was prolly Neverness to Everness trailer that I saw, Sorry I was not updated with gacha news at that time. To zZZ prolly the one that draw me into were the characters they felt like modern punk vibes and once I played the combat it was really engaging. Prolly one of my first gachas and will stick for a long time since it respects my time. Played Warfarm for like 2000 hours and don't wanna go back to that lol
I went from "Not really a big fan of any character in this game, they are fine but not impressed" to "Why they are all so good, how do I even skip anyone"
How long did you try Wuthering Waves? I never ended up trying it but after doing and sticking with ZZZ I'm wondering if WW would have been up my alley. I also agree the character building is peak. I like how they show up around town when you text em. I like how easy it is to get 4pc+2pc drive disks for them. I like how 3-4 of them there are per faction.
I was not even trying to play. Then when it came out and the story and all i got involved and love it ever since. The only Gacha I top up for every character. Its like just for the character bsc their ep and story for each char make them alive. Then yes the community is very chill i feel every game open world especially those i am not a CC so here goes GI community is the worst but its understandable it has the most player base out of all the games so of course the loud once are lounder there then right behind there is Wuwa every time when there is no comparison and nothing already you see these people in the community try to make drama showing how everyone is hating on Wuwa and how Wuwa is the best thing ever out there and trash other for liking other games and find Wuwa boring apart from combat and design. Then got me thinking these people have too much free time on their hands. ZZZ community those who really enjoy the game any part of the game knows the game has flaws and up to this point the concern are taken good care off and new QOL are added to ease daily and weekly farming. We know we are the "gooner bait" of course there is gacha and the fans but honestly all these to people who really go through the game is far and few between but whole load of good story for a character. The marketing is good for each char gooner demo then very awesome teaser/EP we have everything and the story in game for these char are wonderful. The main story after 1.2 is progressing really good as well. That why i given up on putting money in other game for design and all (unless its really smth I really love) but ZZZ has me hook on all the char bsc of the story/marketing EP for example lighter after his EP and story i decided to pull even thou i am not wanting to pull for him earlier.
Ive got a lot of friends playing genshin and Ive tried and failed to get into it numerous times. Cant explain why, i just couldnt get into it. Zenless was a different story.
Do you think you’d want to try wuthering waves again when 2.0 launches? The game is a lot like zzz in terms of the devs listening and adding quality of life, so much so that it made hoyo “step up” their game with genshin. Also, I miss the tv mode. I love events like the mystery of arpeggio fault because it made the tv gameplay more unique and fun. But that is just my two cents. Thank you for the video 👍🏻
I got persona vibes from this game the first time i saw it. I really love the persona aesthetic but don't like turn based combat so i bounced off every persona game i tried. I'm all in on ZZZ though with the persona vibes and fast paced combat. The production of the game is just amazing, you can tell they really care about the game experience for players. Other devs should be taking notes from this. I wish this game got more coverage. It annoys me that people talk about games like overwatch with reverent tones but just dismiss games like zzz without even trying them.
You briefly mentioned about the wuwa community, and it's quite a sad reality when most of the negative behavior comes from a loud minority and some certain content creators. What did you experience in that community that had put you off?
From my experience, the WuWa community seems quite hostile, especially towards people who enjoy Hoyo games. However I do see an overlap of ZZZ & WuWa enjoyers since both games were the introduction to gacha games for many
yea same, but when it comes to internet like twitter, instead of appreciating someone's opinion about the story of wuwa back in 1.3 like what rednu did, ppl didn't appreciate it and prove that his opinion is wrong plus they even force someone to play as male rover in the story even tho they like playing female rover a lot cuz of the design.
ZZZ is a game that, by all conventional logic, should have never gotten me hooked. I don’t like gachas, I’m having a hard time enjoying games with similar atmospheres (Persona 5), and the early-game content for ZZZ is, if I had to be honest, kinda mid. Almost everyone I knew who stuck around for the early content dropped out. Generally the same criticisms: combat is mid, puzzles are mid, and it takes too long to get through the story. Yet here I am, after nearly 4 months of almost daily ZZZ, and I’m still coming back. There’s a few reasons why, so I guess I’ll just start rattling them off. For one: The story and worldbuilding is incredibly engaging for me. So many unanswered questions and mysteries that I just want to stick around and see what happens. Character-building is also a part of this. I genuinely love seeing little bits and pieces of a character’s personality show up in the game as well as the additional media hoyo releases (personal favorites: Caesar, Grace, Piper, and Lighter, hope to see more of Miyabi). Two: Going off the last thing a bit, ZZZ has, in my opinion, some of the best character design in gaming. Yeah, almost everyone knows about the “physics,” but even if you take that away, you are hardly subtracting from the overall designs. This game is all about eye-candy, and damnit, if the characters don’t activate neurons then what’s the point? Three: The animations and… the physics. Yeah, physics has to be on here, but it’s just one thing that contributes to the overall quality of the animations, which, as a whole, add so much expression to the game. Like I said before: “neuron activation.” Four: The atmosphere is perfect. Each location feels unique, both cities and hollows with their own themes and color palettes, and the music allows me to sit back and enjoy it all, something I cannot do with a lot of other games. Seriously, I have a difficult time tolerating games with 24/7 music going on in the background. Persona 5 is one of those games I can’t tolerate for longer than 30 minutes at a time. The fact that ZZZ’s atmosphere is considered parallel to Persona is weird to me, since I haven’t really felt the connection besides a few in-game dialogue easter eggs. I personally feel that Persona is more noir and stiff, while ZZZ is more bright and expressive. Moving away from that tangent, the final, and perhaps main reason why I’ve stuck around, is that the high-end combat is bliss. Shiyu defense is by far my favorite gamemode, because once I find the right team builds and character rotations, I can go through the stages in a flow state where my goal is simply to improve my existing time, almost like a speedrunner. Once I got to this point, I wasn’t just spamming buttons, I was using all sorts of unique tech that casual players will never know about. Blasting through everything to get a new PB feels awesome, and by the time the current node feels old, the next node is ready. Overall, I feel that ZZZ is a diamond in the rough, with surface-level perception taking away from its depth as a game and as a universe that people can connect to. I hope to see the game and the community thrive more in the future.
This is genuinely a great review of the game, especially coming from someone who was skeptical about it at first. I don’t have much to add other than that 1.4 will change the early game because honestly, the story pacing was kinda bad. "A diamond in the rough" is a great way to describe the game in its current state.
Seeing how Miyabi is a decendant of one of the Voidhunters, I think that they are most likely gone. I really want Sunbringer (Kiana) & the Falkenhayn girls (Elysia & Mei) to be playable tho
Are we not counting Miyabi or Yanagi as Mei? Also anyone Honkai Impact or HSR power level would be overpowered in ZZZ setting. Be a bit much unless the main cast gets buffed or something.

RIGHT! I swear not that many people yap about this.
Yes but the “that girl has some rizz” line still kills me
@@alexescorza8120I would just attribute that to terrible localization in EN.
🤝
Yeah the ZZZ community is super chill (thirsty... but chill). The cozy feel translates from the game to the players and I'm having a great time gaming.
Fr, it's so nice, and I like how you put that about the cozy feeling, it's true... it's vibe is so chill and fun. Whenever I play the game, instantly at ease, and the environment, characters, and music just all works together perfectly to bring those vibes.
A horny fandom is a united fandom😅
The game feels like home man, i love it. it deserves so much more love, its so well polished and the characters are fully fleshed too.
Honestly, I really do enjoy the midsize community we got. It’s tight
Hoyoverse and everyone who is working on zzz deserves a shit ton of love. It is the best gacha game of all time
Pfft they deserve love if they're price point wasnt ludicrous and gacha wasnt malicious as shit.
But sure.

Definitely. The game feels like the developers had fun developing it and it shows

Great dev lore. gen z cooked.

One thing I really like about zzz (which is my favourite gacha rn) is how it handles drive discs:
-3 out of 6 discs have fixed mainstats
-no high/low rolls on substats with less useless substats
-very low stats requirements
-good crafting system
-not to specialized sets
-the fact that I can use a support set with double crit on characters like Qingyi and Lucy and still being able to clear endgame with them as dps
Personally I think ZZZ is a huge stepup to their previous games in almost every aspect. Kinda sad how underrated it is.
@@bruh10246agreed
That along with how disk are rather ez to come by when your leveled up and just stockpiling.
If I could repost a comment I would with this one
TV mode comrade spotted...! I'm not so into stuff like Arpeggio Fault where it's pure TV mode, but the hybrid gameplay is nice.
@@elodiefiorella4750same here 🎉 TV changes but still okay. a bit less time consuming and feel nice to me as well ᕙ(⇀‸↼‶)ᕗ
I seriously found a hidden gem by subscribing, because seriously this amount of discussion over a game I love it a little nerdy but it's so nice. I don't have a lot of people around me who are into these types of games, so it's nice to have someone who sees the way I do.
I appreciate the kind words, glad you are enjoying the content!

Glad someone else agrees!
bro the music shop does it for me I don't know why its just brings me back
Don't skip dialogue
Especially if you like characters
it's nice that they give an option to skip but honestly there's not much to read in ZZZ at all
My general rule is no voice no read. Basically if it's not voiced, I skip the dialogue. It's surprisingly works pretty well so far, sure the details are missing at times, but I never got completely derailed from the story. Hell, this even works for HSR, I just put it on auto and listen to them while I read a manga or somethin
@@cawashka yeah I noticed a big change from Genshin to ZZZ, reading NPCs stories in Teyvat felt like I was competing in a try not to sleep challenge
Persona 5 and Jet Set Radio Future are two of my favorite games of all time, and I can see aspects of both of those games here and I just love it.
Beautiful Beautiful game.
this video makes me happy. knowing someone enjoys the same game you love is the best feeling.
LOOL I thought I was going crazy drawing the parallels between the two, glad people are seeing it.
... you may not believe it but I started playing Persona 5 for the first time today (picked it up in the Steam sale) for exactly that reason! ... Also I liked the combat of HSR but the story did not click with me.
@@Arkwing you are going to LOVE it.
I’ll try my best!
Lumina's square at night with the music is absolute chill asf, especially when you look out towards the river with max graphics.
I mean I've been strictly staying away from gacha games for years because I don't stand by microtransaction monetization,
but with ZZZ, simply the talent and attention to detail of the developers made it impossible for me to pass it up any longer.
although I still strongly dislike the FOMO based monetization, the crazy fact that you can dump $100 and get NOTHING, and so on, that doesn't mean that I am not appreciating the amazing art, design, and gameplay implementation.
Underrated channel loved this video bro
Heya, the game being on console, not just mobile as an action rpg type is really why I got into it. It respects my time when I get done with work.
I agree 100%, this game is great for respecting ur time
I honestly made ZZZ my first Hoyoverse game Lmao, and I'm loving it!
Glad you’re enjoying the game my friend!
@SmackSanRB Came for Burnice and I burnt the game with 160+ pulls, losing 50:50, getting her on soft pity, then even got her W-Engine! Now I got Yanagi, no W-Engine sadly though, luck was too harsh on me even after grinding like shit...
I love that ZZZ doesnt drown you in characters.
The heart of this game is basically what made me fell in love with it!
honestly so happy to hear someone voice this; took the words outta my mouth
😊
The game is rly fun, it just get's a bad rep for all the, uh, "physics" it has
These people are those same fuckers playing NIKKE and calling ZZZ a 'gooner' game... Sex is the first art every living organism developed, they simply try to cover their shut stained asses by showing how no-horny they are, bruh, jokes on them
It shouldn't even have such a reputation. It's just because outrage on the internet is so selective, with Internet buzzwords at its all time high.
basic physics are now sexualized thanks to a p0rn brained society

for real, Nikke and ark knights are way worse in terms of fan service but, uh oh we saw bare foot??!?!?!?! GOON GAME
Everything about the game is absolutely fantastic except for the fact I don't have Zhu yuan, ellen, or jane
I love this game to death had fun playing on father’s ps5
That’s exactly why this one sticks with me, played the others but none has this persona feel while being it’s own thing, with its chill vibes and blasts of colour and depth to so much of it, when new characters come around they are not mindless tits and ass I mean they have and did that well but the depth of who each character is is amazing, I love the story I wanna know what happens next, and being a persona nerd to you nailed the way this game is perfectly and that combat with its flair and onion layers of drip and or planning for optimal play and learning it is a blast, I was a button masher too till I heard a lot of inspiration came from fighting games too and like those games the combat is more then what you see and I love it, won’t hate on anyone for missing it but will point it out to see what people can really do:)
Also can’t wait for 1.4 LETA GOO!!!
I see very little like them
However Battle Cats takes a big edge as it included the gacha system so well into the game while being so easy to grind that you literally would loose currency by buying stuff instead of just grinding it
There is this Je ne sais quoi about ZZZ that make me choose it as my main gacha (it used to be Genshin).
Hopefully you get your 1000 sub soon brother, only 11 more!
Thank you my friend✊🏽✊🏽✊🏽

YOOOO if you have a pc I’m pre sure p5 is on sale, you haveeeee to give it a try.
ZZZ had things I enjoy to come back less pressure on my playtime
I have a lot of issues with ZZZ but it is the first gacha game I ever invested money and a lot of time into. I don’t think it’s the best gacha game currently available but it is alongside WuWa as a favorite of mine. I love the characters and the gameplay is very fun. (Lighter is literally me)
Glad you enjoying!
🗣️ zzz is so fun 🔥🔥🔥
The same happened to me with Ellen 😂 Now Iove playing with her.
i like the combat, the reason why i start playing. and i stay because anby and soldier 11
Their both really really cool characters
@SmackSanRB they're gorgeous and good. Even if they got powercrept Id still loyal to them and put them in my team
You've already got the models, so any time you see an NPC in one of these games it could be one of the main characters there instead, especially if it's for an unvoiced segment (or even just do what Persona does and have short generic voice clips for a few emotions/reactions that are reused when a character is saying something.)
I love how in ZZZ the characters actually feel like part of the world.
W, yea I think zzz is a breath of fresh air from these open world games. As a hi3 enjoyer, zzz is something special
Your opinion on lycaon and ellen was the same opinion that I had about zhu yuan, the drip marketing and her design made me hate her before her launch, but her gameplay and her story made me want to have her in my account
Right, the designs are nothing crazy in the game but the story is really what sells
I’m loving your content and the vibes. I can relate as well to the Persona takes I love P5 and ZZZ is cooking. I’m ITCHING for that 1.4 live stream hoping for big news man 🙌🏾🙌🏾

I like it a lot. Very good.
6:50 I think Yanagi is the closest to a Raiden clone in ZZZ. She's also voiced by Ju Hua hua (the CN VA for every Mei in all three hoyo games)
I hope yanagi isn’t the closest😭 I need a true raiden in the game. I’ll give them 💳💳💳💳 😭😭
ZZZ player here.
What is it?
ZZZ overall experience is genius in design
Genshin insired a lot of open world gacha to be made and those suck alot of your time to do world.exploration ZZZ design to take as little of your time as possible for daily stuff so you can jam it in the middle of 5-6 other gacha game you have and still clear every event
This game makes me want to pull for all the characters, and I think I'll skip the W engine so I can save for more characters
And also, for me the dialogue and voice acting (English one) feels more casual and funny, compared to HSR or WuWa which I feel more stiff and formal-like. Heck, ZZZ even have bleeped swearing during the opening cutscene. Their cartoonish (?) style animated cutscenes also really fits well with the dialogue style.
love
At First I thought this game had some traversal like spiderman lol
It was prolly Neverness to Everness trailer that I saw, Sorry I was not updated with gacha news at that time.
To zZZ prolly the one that draw me into were the characters they felt like modern punk vibes and once I played the combat it was really engaging.
Prolly one of my first gachas and will stick for a long time since it respects my time.
Played Warfarm for like 2000 hours and don't wanna go back to that lol
Just came to say hi and keep up the good work ;)
Thank you so much! This comment does mean a lot! Hope you have a great day/night ahead!
You got a sub hehe
Preciate that. Thank you!
Pretty sure the devs said that zzz has no connections to anything honkai, so no kiana or mei
There are already Kiana and mei models from the where the miracles begin trailer. Just a matter of if their alive or not
I went from "Not really a big fan of any character in this game, they are fine but not impressed" to "Why they are all so good, how do I even skip anyone"
RIGHT!
fair enough
its like on or like an lol for lycaon
Average luck game learned it like that 😂
@@bobross6955 that's why i suggested it !!
😂😂😂😂
AHHH Okok that makes sense. Thanks for the clarification!

Aether Gazer mentioned!
You still play?
yes, every other day. there are so many gacha games now.
bro, im bout to pop off on zzz content
Do you think you’d want to try wuthering waves again when 2.0 launches? The game is a lot like zzz in terms of the devs listening and adding quality of life, so much so that it made hoyo “step up” their game with genshin. Also, I miss the tv mode. I love events like the mystery of arpeggio fault because it made the tv gameplay more unique and fun. But that is just my two cents. Thank you for the video 👍🏻
i am on my knees for a persona x zzz collab istg
A persona 5 collab would break the internet
Yeah n1 fan here
Wait, am I just stupid, what’s N1😭😭??
@@SmackSanRB NUMBER ONE FAN OF STARLIGHT KNIGHT!
Like I said before: “neuron activation.”
Four: The atmosphere is perfect.
Well, we already know there was a Kiana and Mei lookalike in the past, hopefully they're still alive. XD
Seeing how Miyabi is a decendant of one of the Voidhunters, I think that they are most likely gone. I really want Sunbringer (Kiana) & the Falkenhayn girls (Elysia & Mei) to be playable tho
@cawashka Miyabi is just eather her daughter or her granddaughter, and they're probably enhanced humans, who knows. XD
Bruh I always say this, but I hope their trapped in a like a quantom Bay Area like how Kevin was trapped in hi3

Latom.
Are we not counting Miyabi or Yanagi as Mei?
Also anyone Honkai Impact or HSR power level would be overpowered in ZZZ setting. Be a bit much unless the main cast gets buffed or something.

What pushed me to gacha games was the absolute shit state the mainstream gaming is in, including japanesse lately
