    +++++++++++++++++WHO WE ARE++++++++++++++++++++++++++
    We're a family of 8! Nick, Tina, and our 6 wonderful, crazy kids.
    Hey, Nick here! This channel started with us traveling across the southern United States during winter of 2018, and has evolved into a new adventure in and of itself.
    In 2020, we added a new member to our family, moved to our new home base in Tennessee and embarked on another adventure over the summer. In that adventure, I realized that there was a huge need for a rock-solid internet device, specifically made for those on the go.
    When we arrived home in the fall, we began work on what would be our newest adventure - bringing a brand new device to the world that will help people fulfill their dreams of hitting the road and staying 'connected' wherever they are.
    To say I'm excited would be an under-statement!
    We LOVE to explore this wonderful world our God created, and now with this additional calling, we are super excited to see where the road will lead! This channel will be used chronicle our adventures, show the behind-the-scenes details on our family business, and of course, show you the 'out of the box' things we'll come across in our explorations.
    We'd love to have you hang with us. Whether we are in Insty Headquarters, rounding up chickens or goats, or on the road adventuring, it just wouldn't be the same without you!
    Hit the subscribe button, drop us a message, and jump in!
    P.S. ‘Doing TH-cam' has turned out to be one of the most enjoyable things I have ever done, and I hope what you're seeing above brings a smile to your face :)

    I have been to Big Bend quite a few times.
    Rode motorcyle all over that place and NEVER got a cell signal except at Chisos Lodge, I think.
    Slight signal in Terlingua.
    Amazing.

    Great video that is even in “our neck of the woods.” The “Giant Side of Texas” does have its technology gaps. I am VERY interested, in how the system works, in this part of the world. Thank you for your work on this.

    I will be pulling the trigger on this system soon!

    Would it be possible in the future, or had you looked at the possibility, of been able to camouflage the system so that the cell company see a cell phone or a tablet instead of anything else.? Would there be or is there any setting for this action...I think it would be a selling point....

    I love your channel but I chuckle at how connectivity rules your life. I get it, it’s your business. When we lose cell signal in the boonies we celebrate and break out a book.

      The point of these trips IS connectivity :) We don't let it rule our lives, but it is our business now. In the past, connectivity allowed us to travel. Now we are blessed to be able to help so many people stay connected so they can have more freedom. That's how I view it. It does consume a lot of our time, but I also feel blessed that we can do this together as a family. That being said, we do break out a lot of books too, that's usually what Tina does with the kids when I'm running around with all my wires :)

    Thanks Nick! - Another great video.
    It is clear that your system has superior performance.
    Being a "radio guy" I know too well how important the antenna system is. - Great job!

    Hey Nick... why are the top two Yagis shorter than the lower two on the Quadnoculars? aren't all 4 inputs on the modem the same? so are you trying to optimize for different frequency bands on one pair vs the other? Cool stuff.

    • @WeCanExploreIt
      @WeCanExploreIt  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The 5G modem covers a lot of frequencies, so each antenna port will cover a certain range. The upper shorter lobes are for the higher frequencies, and the longer ones will cover the lower frequencies. They are not all the same, but they do share frequencies when doing MIMO, so finding the right balance is key.

    Will this work in the Great Smokies National Park and other placed in the bottom of the valleys that have no apparent signal on my iPhone 13?

    • @WeCanExploreIt
      @WeCanExploreIt  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Larry, I responded to your message in the help desk. In most cases, if there is a WHISPER of a signal, the Insty Connect can do something with it!

    Are those Insty Connect test screens you have four up on you laptop/iPad a screen/app (at least a single test window) a test app you get with Insty/built in the dashboard you referenced?

    • @WeCanExploreIt
      @WeCanExploreIt  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The insty connect has the 'dashboard' where you manage the device and see signal etc. the iPad just has 4 of them on the one screen for our testing. Normally you would just see one for the device that you have.

    Don’t you 3d print the housings for your antennas? I am not knowledgeable about the industry you’re in, nor about 3d printing, but I noticed the ridges on the surfaces of the antennas, and it reminded me of a video where a guy used a process to smooth 3d printed surfaces that looked really nice. You may not be interested, and it certainly isn’t a necessary step for your product, but it’s fun to watch. It starts around 4:30 in this video - th-cam.com/video/PgLOU9BrUe4/w-d-xo.html

      Thanks for the comment. The plastic we use is PETG which makes it hold up to the elements really well. PETG is harder to smooth than other plastics, so we just embrace the uniqueness of the 3d printing process and keep it the way it is when it comes off the printer. Our goal is the performance of the antenna and 3d printing allows us to design just the way we want to for the fastest results. Thanks again!

    You sure went to Big Bend at the right time of the year! LOL! I'm taking in what you have to offer with instyconnect--we are going to be moving into a toy hauler soon while our home is getting completed and I need a reliable solution for my remote job.
