@jacksonchapline6021 life expectancy is 30-50yrs old. Google it. Cats can live to be 38 (world record) but most are elderly by 15. The family pet was taken because of a lapse in permit due to covid and a change in the law. Now, they are adding other misleading information, so we don't question the DEC. But keep your head in the sand. Let the government take everything you love before you wake up.

The gator was living in its own filth. The water was not changed for 7 years and all it was being fed was cooked chicken and fish fries leading to it's obesity. The gator was unhealthy. Better it be taken to a proper facility to be rehabilitated.

As soon as I heard children were potentially swimming with him the authorities couldn't have snatched him up fast enough. Alligators can not be domesticated like dogs or cats or even a grizzly bear, lion or tiger which at least if they were raised at a young age by a person they would develop a bond...and that still isn't safe. Alligators are basically living dinosaurs that mainly act on instinct and reflexes. I'm not saying alligators are evil and I'll be pissed off if they destroy the animal because it is not at fault...however human lives were probably saved because of this action.

But eventually as the gator grew he took him out to expositions at fairs and "educational" classes at primary school where children were Llowed to pet him. Eventually the gator got big and now those classes were held at the man's home. Where according to a report from FOX news and ENTERTAINMENT reported he sId he qould let people pet him. He specifically said he would let PEOPLE pet him. And I will Ssume children at those educational events did also. I remember as. Kid these people would come to iur school with poisonous snakes. And he held the head and would ask if any of us wanted to touch it. I assume his permits also forbid him from allowing people to pet the snake. Yet he broke the rules. Then this Rony character admits on video he allowed on his closest friends (and thei friends to touch them. Some where even allowed to swim with it. Never once in that article did he mention the.gator was blind and sick. But in the end he broke the laws under his contract by allowing people to pet it. And now he's crying because 10 men from the law enforcement division raided his home to remove the dangerous gator from his home. Was he expecting 10 fairies to show up and bring him cookies and milk while explaining that they were going to confiscate that animal and why? This man is a joke and deserves no sympathy. He made money off this gator and financially benefited from said animal. And should have lost custody when he started to the take it out to local trade shows and exhibit it. He broke his contract and it's his fault it was taken.

I deal with this garbage every year in South FL. Fish and wildlife conservation has to come to my house every year and inspect my property to renew my Class 2 Permit that allows me to keep Alligators as pets. Pretty much myself and thousands of Floridians that own exotics have to put up with this crap every year. The Government in this country runs around with way too much power unchecked. Government doesn’t produce anything everything they touch they destroy unfortunately I wouldn’t be shocked if that poor Gator gets so stressed out he ends up dying. To those that see events like this and criticize just know that the Alligator is a species that can bond with its owner they are lazy but intelligent enough to understand lots of things although this is out of the normal to many, separating that animal from the owner is taking a huge toll on that Gator.
