I'm glad to found your channel! Move in to Ridgefield, WA, in June '23 and it feels like a new home! And, while I'd visited many other states on my job (I'm truckdriver), made shure that our state is the best! Well maintained roads, polite drivers, good climate (but cold...) and diversity of nature and landshafts...
Winter is my favorite season. Its probably tied with spring summer and fall. Lol couldnt be truer. Also goes to show that your man loves to live life. What a lucky blessing
hey there! i used to watch your videos when i lived in san diego and now my husband and i love living our new hudson bay neighborhood thanks for making your videos ♥️✨
Thank you for the kind words! We really endeavor to make videos that are useful & valuable long into the future, whenever someone happens to find them.. Thanks again & Happy New Year - JB
Im from so cal too, and have been living in washougal for 10 years now and man... i LOOOOOVE our 4 seasons here. In my opinion they're distinct without being extreme. I feel like we get everything. It's paradise. 😍🥰
Yes, you're so right! Washougal is absolutely gorgeous, one of my favorite areas in SW Washington. We're getting ready to do a video on Washougal exclusively!
I'm originally from the Bay Area, and the weather in Vancouver, WA, sounds very comparable (minus the snow, we don't get that in the greater San Francisco Bay Area) to what I grew up with before the wild fires became so pervasive. I currently live in New Orleans and have for a little over 5 years, and I'm heavily considering relocating to Vancouver, and this video is just really adding to why I should do this. I'm so over the consistent heat, hurricane season, big bugs, high humidity, etc., amongst other things. Thank you for sharing such informative videos.
My favorite time of year is late Spring/ early Summer when everything seems alive, green, and in bloom. I do love the cozy Fall season, too! My goal is to embrace Winter a little more each year. Vitamin D to the rescue!
You two are AWESOME! Thank you for this weather packed informative video! We live in the desert and are searching for a much cooler climate with seasons during our upcoming retirement years! Looking forward to a visit to Vancouver!
Thanks for saying that! We just aim to be open and as helpful as possible to folks like us considering a new chapter & change.. Look forward to meeting you when you come out - JB
I can't wait to visit the PNW. I prefer the overcast, too. Autumn weather is my favorite time of the year and season, especially in October, my birthday month 😊 I feel like the PNW is an underrated place to be. Ya'll got me rollin' at the end. Y'all are funny 😂
You have such a beautiful voice and Californian accent and attitude that I just want to listen to you! Your husband is cool too. After trump fiasco we wanted to move to canada, then I thought maybe just move to washington from Pasadena. Then, I heard you on another video talking about crime, theft and lack of amenity, I am having a second thought!
I enjoy all seasons, as long as they aren’t extreme. The summers here in San Ramon, CA have been crazy hot. I can’t enjoy being outdoors. When it rains here the hills are nice and green. When summer arrives the hills get golden brown. And that means fire season! The best winters I’ve had were in Germany when we got tons of snow and no school days 😊. If I want to experience snow here I have to travel to Lake Tahoe. As I creep closer to retirement (June - July 2026) I look forward to moving to WA to enjoy the outdoors more. Look forward to working with you both.
Hey Mike. Thanks for the thoughtful, nuanced comment! Being here for 5+ years now, I really appreciate how our fairly mild weather encourages outdoor rec that much more. And like you said, if we want real snow we'll take the short 90min drive up to Mt. Hood - or the scenic 2hr ride out to the coast (which really deserves it's own video series!). Anyway, thanks again and we look forward to chatting or meeting offline - JB
Yes, absolutely! We can grow so many things here. Different plants, veggies, & fruits from the southern US, but still so many options. I like gardening as well, hope to become a better one every year
My favorite seasons are Fall, Winter and Spring. If I have to choose one, it will be Fall. I got SAD (Slightly Agitated & Depressed - LOL!) in Summer - yes I am weird 😂 As always, love all your videos, and thank you!
It rains a lotttttt in the rainy season but it does help us appreciate the sun more when it arrives. However its not a myth that it rains a lot in the pnw lol
good info, I live in Vegas and looking to move to Vancouver area. I love to see the green, but I am also a sun guy too, little worried about the grey skies but seems like it won't be too bad.
Don't get me wrong we have a lot of gray days. Coming from Southern California, I loved the gray days & rain down there but I didn't know how I'd feel about about it after moving up here. Did I only enjoy the gray because it was different among the endless sun? No, I actually rain & seasons & the abundance of greenery that it produces. I'm happy to chat if you ever want to talk through your concerns, just as someone who grew up around lots of heat & sun and now lives in a wetter climate.
@@brianp5579 I will have some full spectrum lights, I am actually usually in my studio office all day with blackout curtains and sound proofing. I call it my cave. So I might be ok lol
Love your channel and am really appreciating the info as I consider a move to Vancouver, WA. One thing I was wondering (maybe a good video topic 🙏🏼?) is what the flight paths of the huge international airport in Portland are like over Vancouver. Both in terms of noise and the growing body of research showing that living beneath a flight path adds to shorter lifespans and more disease, I’m wondering what parts of Vancouver aren’t flown over and might be spots I’d like to do my home search in. Could you help with that?
I'm interested in your experience now after multi-years living in Vancouver with the wildfire smoke that comes that direction annually. How often, how bad is it, do you just spend those days indoor until it clears, etc... thank you! My interest in the area continues with your videos.
Hello & thanks for reaching out.. I've helped a bunch of people relocate from Colorado, so I'd be happy to see how we can do the same for you! Call or text me at 360.818.4438 and let's set up a time to chat or zoom! -

It looks lovely out there.
It truly is! We love all the different areas on the PNW

100%... If you're into balance, it really is hard to beat!

80 degrees in mid October sounds like a dream compared to South Florida where its over 90 plus humidity (100) and its mid September
I'm hooked on you guys. Thank you.
That's such a high compliment! Thank you!
Awesome video. Thank you guys.

I'm an avid gardener so with no rain in the summer, I'm assuming I'll be fine watering my garden and yard? Great information, thank you!

The rain and grey will eventually get to you..dont move there.

Is rather worrisome they haven’t replied

The smoke is so bad it ruins just about every summer. It has already started over on the east side.
3:13 Ahem... watching from San Diego... :-) Hahaha you guys are hilarious.... and informative!
Is it dry heat during summer?
It's usually not humid. I find it comfortable, but I don't know if I'd quite call it dry like my childhood in Southern California.
I am interested in moving to Vancouver Washington and I wondering if there’s thunderstorms? Thank you for your videos 😊
There are occasionally, maybe once a year if I had to guess anecdotally?
Hello Hal, I’m looking around Washington to relocate from denver Colorado. Can you help?

By Salt Lake City standards, Portland gets no real winter or summer......it's literally spring or fall all year!
You left out the wind and smoke that ruins the rare nice days.
Depressing, homeless, needles, no police!.
Vancouver,wa is amazing!
