    I smelled this and instantly thought, "this is what James Bond smells like." This fragrance is AWESOME. It's a bespoke tuxedo with a 9mm Luger on your hip. It's ultra masculine, ultra suave, and ultra clean. Its a billionaire playboy at a high stakes roulette game with a femme fatale (who is possibly a double agent spy) on his arm. Longevity is outstanding for a Creed. Better than green irish tweed.

    I spent 2k on creed frags, this one is my absolute favourite frag! Totally authentic frag which women love.

    OV is one of my best cologne for the summer. Best time to wear this, on vacation, after a day at the beach you come back take a shower and you spray OV. Best time, because people expect you to smell soapy/clean.

    This is my second favorite fragrance next to Terre d'Hermes but that's not why I commented on this particular video. I noticed that it is EXTREMELY apparent that many many many people get a smell of soap and I have to add my two cents as this fragrance wrote a story in my mind over the times I've worn it. The soap smell to me is a sign of over-application of this fragrance, and what I mean is putting cologne on with the mindset of, "I really really want people to smell me." I say this because one time I absolutely wanted unsolicited comments in public and I purposely went haywire with this stuff and it did project. Not one time did anyone around me say they smelled anything soapy but after about 3-4 hours I smelled my skin up close and I detected the soapy scent. Aside from that, this fragrance in my opinion is absolutely brilliant and has a special spot next to my Hermes fragrances (Terre and Concentre Eau d'Orange Verte.)
    (p.s. I did upload a video about Original Vetiver if you're ever interested in seeing what a profound impact this had on me.)

      If you like Terre d'Hermes you have to try Red Vetiver by Montale. It's very similar to TdH, but it's way better, because it's more "juicy", more round, more natural and it's not so dry.

    Love OV! I did a blind sniff off once of 14 frags and I had to choose which ones were designer and which were niche. Mugler and OV were in the mix. I picked mugler as designer and OV as niche. I didn't really see the full quality of creeds until a good year and half into wearing them. To me, they are deep and they are of very high quality.

    I love OV actually, modern gentleman's frag to me, and yes not very vetiver at all, but its a very clean spring frag too me, feels natural, the only downside is the cost IMO. Great REVIEW once again guys!!! I'm still waiting for that Micheal McDonald impression throughout the duration of a fragrance review lol

    vetiver fragrances usually copy the smell of the roots and there comes this typical smokeyness and dirtyness from, original vetiver concentrates on the grass leafs of vetiver and this is why there is no note in it that will be expected from vetiver. I really like you guys and I appriciate your opinions since years, but go and test this one again, I am sure you tested it to much on paper or directly on the skin, check the sillage.

    In short, this thing is great for older men, talking about 50+, a classy man type, this is not for the younger crowd. I wore this the other day to test and did get compliments from older people at work, the younger people were not at all fans, and thought it was something i put on for my beard, not an actual cologne ( which hints at me that it smells like what I thought, a barbershop type of place )
    You guys said this is for the summer? I definitely would disagree, its too strong in my opinion for summer, you guys comparing it to a mugler fragrance should tell u right there its not for summer lol. Mugler tends to make strong stuff.

    Have to agree that it's not very vetivery. It just smells very clean, green, and soapy. It isn't really bad to me, but didn't blow my mind for being $300-something dollars retail. Of course I only smelled from a small decant lol.

    • @FragranceBros
      @FragranceBros  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      yeah. on one hand, I'm glad it's not super vetivery, but on the other, maybe a little bit more vetiver would have made this more interesting.

  • @ZekeMagnar

    Yea', me, too. OV just has a depth to it that MC doesn't.
    As for where to buy: $84 bucks for a 2.5oz tester on Fragrancenet (dot) com with the 20% off coupon.
    And I didn't get it at first either, but the reason we don't get that usual earthy vibe with OV is because Creed doesn't use the root of the vetiver plant, but rather the vetiver leaves. May serve as a problem for the blind-buyers out there, because it's really unlike anything one would expect when they hear the word vetiver.

  • @FragranceBros
    @FragranceBros  12 ปีที่แล้ว

    yeah i (daver) am with ya. i think Creed OV, though clean and soapy, does smell high quality.

    I´m with Jer on this one, I like the opening, but I hate the drydown, it´s all vetiver on my skin, and I´m not a fan of it.
    Great Job Guys!!! Thanks for sharing!

    How would you compare this and guerlain vetiver? And which one do you feel is a better scent

  • @beefcurtainz69
    @beefcurtainz69 10 ปีที่แล้ว

    Great videos! Respect! So I was wondering is there a difference at all between buying a creed from Neiman Marcus for a bit more than paying quite a bit less at like an online discounter or wherever you say this costs $170. As stupid as this might be I just play it safe and pay way more at NM knowing I'm getting fresh Authentic juice. Where do you guys suggest and how can they sell it for so much less if it is in fact the exact same fragrance? Any differences whatsoever? Thanks!!

    • @FragranceBros
      @FragranceBros  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      honestly, I doubt there's any real difference. The "freshness" of a fragrance really won't change unless it is exposed to light or heat, not age. And these online retailers most certainly keep them in climate-controlled environments. All the Creeds I have bought were from online discounters, and they smell identical to ones at big retailers. If you want to make sure you got something not returned or opened, I would just buy anything other than a tester (even though I personally don't mind testers). I would also stick to very trusted online stores like FragranceNet, BeautyEncounter, or even ScentMonkey. :) Good luck!

    What's a Split?

    • @FragranceBros
      @FragranceBros  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      a split is when we buy a large bottle of fragrance and sell smaller portions of that fragrance for people who either want to save money or only want a little bit of juice. we try to do about one split a month.
