My parents have a 2007 AWD base model,it leaked oil In a few places places since 2010 or so (valve cover, timing chain cover)few years back we had the trans rebuilt and about 10 minutes ago it decided that it wasn’t gonna go above 4th or go into 1th when you stopped. Luckily we were 5 minutes from home and we got there but it was like having a 4.56 rear axle because it was sitting at 3100 at 50mph, my parents are talking about buying a small Jeep SUV
The HF 3.6 DOHC is a GM engine inside and out. The 3.5 was the only Honda engine ever used and it was put into the Vue which will be getting the 3.6 in the next-gen model. How do you figure the 3.6 from the Outlook/Acadia/Enclave isn't the same engine found it the CTS? It is also used in the Buick LaCrosse, Cadillac STS V6, Cadillac SRX V6, upcoming Chevrolet Malibu, Chevrolet Equinox Sport, Pontiac G6, Pontiac Torrent GXP, and Saturn Aura. All GM vehicles, all GM motors.
The 3.6L V6 was designed all new for the 2004 Cadillac CTS by GM. This is not the 3.5L Honda V6 that was in the Saturn Vue...and the brand new Vue due out this fall will have this GM 3.6L V6. Also, this isn't from the original CTS 3.2 V6 as that engine was a narrow 54 or 52 degree V6. The 3.6L is a 60deg design.

they are fun to drive and ride really nice.... sadly the engine is junk, had serious transmission issues, burned/leaked oil all the time... I own a 2008 XR... if it wasn't for the constant engine/reliablity issues, it'd a be a great vehicle. stay away from it and all it's sister cars (traverse, enclave, acadia)

Honda is aimed for the youth and Most of Gm is Aimed for the Succssful college Graduate or working Man.... You'll never see a successful bussiness man driving around in a Civic Si.....
Ya it's better than the Highlander and Pilot but I still think the Acadia looks a little better, and the Buick Enclave is the best crossover sport utility period.
You obviously so not own used cars... we owned a 2000 Toyota 4Runner we sold in 2008 due to tranny probelms we now own a 2003 Chevy trailblazer a 2007 Saturn Outlook and 2008 Ford Escape all great reliable vehicles!

@DJEddieXZ thats somewhat true....weathly americans do drive caddies...but i wudnt say most of them....only new money drives caddies...rappers...young guys coming up....older people...drive rolls, bently...bmw...merc...etc....
@rsxzx6r So you dont count the rappers, younger guys comming up, and other americans that drive caddilacs as successful people? Because im pretty sure that you wont see the local homeless guy in a brand new Caddie!
If U driven an Acura, The interior looks the same as the previous models... Same old Fisher price lookin flat blocky interior (NSX to TL).... It doesn't have the same in your face interior as GM's Lux interiors.... Honda, well they are nice cars for college, but not for the graduate.....
In my opinion the GMC Acadia looks way better than this one. the options are pretty much the same. Though I like the front look of the Acadia and the curves of the car. Anopther great thing about a Gm vehicle is the fact that you can drive the car for 5yrs/160,000km and it would stillbe under warranty.
@DJEddieXZ successful people do drive GM...not sayin no one does...just majority of them or the high ones..drive foreign....they are not successful in my books...the guy that sign there checks is....the only reason rappers buy cadillacs is cuz they see people with more money than wut they had drive them...and they want them......they r imitating other succesful people....in a way they r buying their success...
@rsxzx6r I agree w/ you, Im still kind of suspicious when cosidering buying american, but I would like to try American just like some day I'll wrk up to MB and so on, Then again, I dont buy cars based on what people think
GM's 3.6L V6 is all GM...not even the same design as the Honda 3.5L. Only thing similar are 4 valves per cylinder and 60deg V design. The 3.6L has higher compression, higher redline, larger bore and stroke, and DOHC vs. SOHC for the honda, with a broader, flatter torque curve.
I think you might want to take a second look at even the 2003 TL interior. Its amazingly different than an accord and you would never be able to tell sitting inside. However, im not blind in my faith and will admit the 2004-2008 were ab it similar to the accord (im talking inside only). Gm makes decent cars now. But you must be joking if you think that that grey plastic interior of that age was better than the Japanese.

Yup.
One of my fav crossovers from gm
This is my dads car and he had to replace the transmission 4 times. And it gets like 7 mpg... im glad in a year its paid off lol

This Outlook eventually turned into the GMC Acadia.
Joe Spina it’s the other way around considering the fact that the Acadia didn’t have half the features the outlook had until years later.
