@Mbrace I agree, that instructor sounds very threatening saying how Mr. Han and Dre entered and no exiting without agreeing to fight. Since this movie is a reboot of the 1984 "Karate Kid" film with Pat Morita and Ralph Macchio, the instructor here on this film sounds a lot worse than John Kreese on the 1984 "Karate Kid" film. Perhaps the only reason why the instructor here is threatening is because, he's sticking up for his student on what he said at 1:35. When Mr. Miyagi and Daniel Larusso entered the Cobra Kai dojo, it seems like John Kreese was trying to hurry things up to get Daniel and Mr. Miyagi out.

Whilst we are learning something that is inherently violent, it is what the practitioner learns and does with it that makes the difference. I've never been a fan of remakes because they are never as good as the originals. But this movie was just as good as the original. I was 6 years old when I saw The karate Kid in 1984 and wanted to go back to see it over and over again. When the VHS tape came out my parents bought it and I wound up wearing the tape out from the repeated watching. When I heard there was going to be a remake I laughed because there was no way the remake could even come close to topping the original, like so many other remakes. But then I went to see the 2010 remake I was blown away how good it was. This scene is actually much better, and chilling, than the original. In this scene you get the feeling that Han and Li knew each other, and were probably once good friends who had a falling out. Also Li is much more terrifying than Kreese. Li is quiet while Kreese yells, if these two were to meet then all Li would have to do is raise a eyebrow inquiringly and Kreese would run screaming in terror.

The Cobra Kai dojo is probably as intimidating or more intimidating, but damn, the Fighting Dragon seems to be more intimidating than the Cobra Kai. I guess it's the atmosphere and the lack of English lines that makes them less easier to understand is what makes their presence more intimidating.
Intimidating-looking people would sometimes sound even more intimidating if they didn't speak English or the native language spoken by the audiences. See the Grongi in Kamen Rider Kuuga for example, the fact they speak in their own language instead of Japanese makes them more ominous and mysterious.

The Karate showed here will always be better choreographed then in the older movies or Cobra Kai series.

Was Mr Han afraid of fighting because he thought he would lose or because he didn't want any violence at all?

I admit people liking the original Karate Kid, but I legitimately think this is more watchable. Just really wish they didn't name it Karate Kid.

Even though this is a remake, Master Li was way more violent to his students than Kreese. He slap his student so hard, who was about to fly.😟
