  • On today’s edition of Family Talk, the late Elisabeth Elliot, author of Passion and Purity, claims that too many self-professing Christian singles are having premarital sex. While they profess Jesus to be their Savior, they have rejected the authority of His Lordship. Despite the fact that First Corinthians 6:18 says, “Flee sexual immorality,” some Christian singles feel it's optional whether they obey or not. Elliot insists that if you want to be Christ’s disciple, then you must give up your rights, take up your cross, and follow Him.
    About Today's Guest: Elisabeth Elliot
Elisabeth Elliot (1926-2015) was the wife of Jim Elliot, a missionary who was martyred while ministering to an unreached group of people in the Amazonian jungle of Ecuador. After her husband’s death, Elisabeth felt God calling her to minister to the very tribe who had killed him. She went on to become a well-known speaker and author of over 20 books, including "Passion and Purity," "Let Me Be a Woman," and "Shadow of the Almighty." For 13 years, she hosted her own radio program called "Gateway to Joy." Elisabeth passed away at the age of 88 and is survived by her third husband, Lars Gren, her daughter, Valarie Elliot Shephard, and many grandchildren.

Once again when I think oh this one doesn't apply to me, I'll just listen to the begining. I learned and was uplifted listening to the end! Thank you!

I agree with not kissing but holding hands just says to me that I care for you. 😊❤
Trusting in Jesus for your relationship is always good. It gives us good reasons to wait on the right one. People rushing into relationships can cause problems in the beginning. Waiting may seem like a long time but that’s not a bad thing. ❤
