In the royal aspect, the king of Sparta is a very handsome man. Only in part does he resemble his brother Agamemnon: so much Menelaus seems attentive to appearing so Agamemnon seems to be a man of "substance": he is the king of Mycenae, and he does everything for the good of his homeland. He gives (though not always) cautious heed to his advice and commands his soldiers relentlessly. Agamemnon is the leader placed at the head of the Achaean forces under the walls of Troy.
