The 'next generation' responded with a bang in the second T20I on Sunday (July 7) after being put to the sword in the series opener by the Sikandar Raza-led side on Saturday (July 6).
It was an impressive performance with the ball from Zimbabwe aided by a shoddy batting display from the Shubman Gill-led side. The hosts came on top of a low-scoring fixture by 13 runs. Eyebrows were raised as the reigning T20 World Champions bowed to a side that failed to make the cut to the marquee event in the USA and Caribbean Islands.
As the cricket pundits say, cricket is a different ball game each day and no matter what, where and how you have played earlier, you always start from zero the next day. Something similar was Abhishek Sharma's outing in his second International match.
Abhishek redeemed himself after a four-ball duck in his first-ever innings in the Indian colours and smashed a brutal 100, which was also the exact margin of India's victory in the end as the Men in Blue levelled the five-match T20I series 1-1. The third T20I of the series will also be played at Harare Sports Club on Wednesday (July 10).
