How do I get a decent edge on your knives and why don't they come Sharp enough to carve well with?

Been waiting for this one. Eyes are tough. I’m carving cotton tree bark I harvested near a river, dead tree by the way. It’s only an inch or so thick but it works. Just smaller tools. Thank you. Love these tools
