Sorry my fault, I replied on my phone and didn't see it was the Portaledge video, Yes it was the most comfy night I have spent in a tree but everything tended to slide around in much the same way as you get with the Amok. I think some of the non slip mesh would solve that in the same way it did with my Amok. You are right about the Amok, they are so comfy it is almost my favourite sleep system. Don't blame you for using it instead of a bed. 👍👍
Richard you never disappoint me. Absolutely fabulous video, had me smiling all the way through. You truly are a great british eccentric gent. A totally over the top camp. Totally impractical but highly entertaining. There is a lay flat hammock called "opeongo aerial A1" that would be a much more practical idea!😂
Great video - thanks for sharing. Never thought about a porta-ledge used as a "hammock" for a flat lay. Makes sense, however, just never thought of it. Weight of course means for camping only, but as one who prefers the flat lay hammocks like AMOK and Haven - over ground dwelling - this looks like an intriguing, though expensive, option for car camping.
Hello found your channel looking at Haven flat lay.Vs Amok. Tree camp something like to do. Do you know of youtuber Pat Dickinson he did a DIY Portaledge Tree Camp may help with your trap setup. Nice see another tree camper.
Watching all video that's a year old nice (bump). Could try put tarp clip in front of wobbly chair run line to ground tarp spike. Stop it falling back.
Haha yes will try that, dumped me on my arse in front of about 1000 people last night, took a bow and lifted it back up again. I think the new one is better balanced. 👍
Haha, a great comment and yes the old spider string has been replaced by substantial ropes and the spidey suit had to go. Apart form that retirement is chipper. All the best.
God gave us gravity so that we could keep our feet on the ground. Great sauce recipe I do similar but add Worcestershire sauce. A meal like that is crying out for a glass of red.. Welcome back!!
Many thanks Jim and I normally try to keep firmly grounded but sometimes.....you just have to do it. I actually forgot the Worcestershire sauce. 🤦♂️ All the best 👍
I'm glad that you like your Primus burner 🙂
I don't just like it, I love it. Thanks so much for recommending it. I am sure it will be travelling with me on many adventures. 👍
I love my kilos gear, you are right with the balance on the chair.. but i still love it.. that sleep system is amazing!
it is the most comfy chair that I have too. The Amok is amazing, if you get a chance to try one take it. All the best. 👍
@@ShadowCamping thanks for the reply! I have an amok draumr 5.0 and love it. Hardly slept in my bed all summer!

Thank you for your comment and your enthusiasm. It is quite heavy but so comfy and as you say, not a backpacking tool. All the best 👍
Great video sir ❤
Many thanks for your support and enthusiasm.
You are a braver man than me.
Probably more foolish too haha

I see retirement is going well for Spider-Man.
